I remember seeing the White Stripes live and wasn’t all that impressed...meg white was a competent drummer, but didn’t have that X factor...a few years later, I saw Jack White live and he brought in a drummer named Daru Jones and the that live performance was absolutely incredible...a great drummer makes all the difference in the world
You're absolutely right. But as much as I love the black keys, the drummer often seems to be out of time on that song. (on the chorus) It doesn't really bother me, but it is a little noticeable. :)
As much as I adore the Black Keys' songs, gotta admit I'm not a fan of how they often randomize the tempo during live shows, speeding up then slowing down seemingly on a whim.
