This was my very first time of listening this band, honestly - I thought that this music is not my cup of tea at all, like never never will listen it, BUT - Slipknot is high quality band , they impressive and I wanna discover more songs of them, awesome music and meaning of the song isn't average. Technicality is TOP.

Songs like ‘Vermillion’ and especially ‘Snuff’ show a more melodic side to the band that you might appreciate the melodic range that Slipknot can do when they want to
Yes, Vermillion is amazing, the lyrics of many of his songs have a profound message.

Exactly, Slipknot is such a technical band, especially with this song!
I don't know if it's some kind of primal callback or something that speaks to a deeper nature of ours, but there is just a natural energy that is created and felt when you have band members working in such uniformity together -- in unison. The drum beats, the sharp guitar, even vocals that sound percussive because the words and tones are so short and precise -- it's almost militaristic, this type of sound. Maybe it goes back to histories of war drums and us becoming conditioned to experience adrenaline when we hear this kind of sound, but this type of music creates ENERGY. In some, it creates aggression. For me it's more just about energy.
It must take lots of practice to be able to work together in such synchronicity to be this technical, so I appreciate your own appreciation of that. 🙂
The last 15 seconds of this song are my favorite. The musical change-up, and the technicality of it all again, really is quite good.
I listen to Slipknot in moderation, I have to be in just the right mood myself, but you are so right, they are talented musicians and very creative in their own way.
What other UA-cam channel goes from reacting to Joe Bonamassa to SLIPKNOT (!) -- and shares very fair and eloquent critiques and impressions to both equally? None that I know, that's why -- at least in my humble opinion -- your channel is the BEST!💫
i personally adore the first breakdown.. it just always gives me goosebumps. (i also love the breakdown in nero forte.)
also people who don't listen have this assumption that their music is depressing. but for me it's unbelievably beautiful that they are able to express themselves to this degree. the rawness of corey's screams and his beautiful singing, jim's and mick's absolutely insane talent and speed on the guitar, shawns and (now) michaels aditional drums to (now) jay's speed and complexity (joey was also insane) and the fact that sids sic scratching and oldschool dj skills are in the mix. this is perfect. craig's not forgotten, i just cannot make out the samplings good enough when listening, but i know they round up the whole thing just as vmans bass. they deserve their fame in every way. just as she said, they're masters of their field.
i'm definitely with you on these deeprooted energies with drums. it just stirs up something deep in your soul.

This is one band, whether you love metal or not, that you must see live. They’re so amazing live. Corey does such a great job of engaging with the crowd, spreading positivity about brotherhood, and the band is wild and entertaining. I’m a huge metalhead but Slipknot is one of those bands that can crossover anyone into metal

facts i had a slipknot playlist back when i first got into metal first song i heard was psychosocial then i just made a playlist with all their songs then i realized they werent the only metal band lmao so I restarted a new playlist with other bands i do have a few slipknot songs there (I know this comment is useless lol and late i dont have friends or a life)

Couple of thoughts.
1. Now that you've seen a video of theirs, it's time to see a live video...to see what kind of shenanigans they can get up to. I've seen them a couple of times in concert and they put on a fun show.
2. A similar band that might be interesting to react to is Static X. They feel a little bit like what Slipknot would be like if they didn't wear masks.
3. Corey Taylor, the lead singer, just released (six days ago) for the song "CMFT Must Be Stopped". It's not very Slipknot-like.
4. Corey Taylor is also in a band named Stone Sour...which is also not very Slipknot-like.
5. Corey Taylor (last not about him), like you've mentioned in this reaction video, can sing really well when he wants to. There are some acoustic performances of his that are really nice. If you were so-inclined.
