Nice truck man! It has that super clean better than stock look. The pre '96 tailgate and rims along with the clean paint set it off! Keep that baby forever you got yourself a classic, congrats on the investment!
When chevy said "like a rock" they were talking about these. Hard to kill. Neighbor drove one that had like 400k and a knocked for like 3 years and never let him down n still plowed snow and made money with it
It is usually the “rag” joint in the lower steering shaft at the steering gear box. I replaced mine with a new borgeson steering shaft version for the k1500 that deletes the rag joint and it makes a world of difference well worth $180.
Cognito makes a pitman and idler arm bracket brace that helps take the load off both arms Google it i just replaced both arms on my 98 silverado the prior arms only lasted 30k
I noticed my gear box leaking on my OBS i just picked up...steering wheel play just like yours.......gotta' get that front suspension kit with the pitman idler tie rods ball joints when i do the gear box and we should be💯
I have a 98 Silverado on stock height running 31x10.50r15!! I’m trying to fit 33x12.50r15 and a lot of mechanics are telling me I won’t be able to, not even with a leveling kit, sucks that I bought the 33x12.50r15 tires already, so now I’m definitely gonna have to fit em somehow lol
Mechanics lie, I went to a big brand tire here in Cali they told me I wouldn't be able to clear 33" tires. Went to a mom-and-pop tire shop and got some put on no problems
Looks good dude! I'd leave it just like that. I have a '98 ext cab Z71 that's dark blue. I'm keepin my stock wheels like you have and I've also got the same size tires you have. Get the glass headlights from Amazon. I did mine and they look really clean. I should make a video. 🤔 By the way where'd you get your tail lights? I need to get those too.

@@jonschwartz9669 thank you! And yeah I've read those. Just sometimes prefer to ask people I know I'll get a response from to get actual input on products. Did you get the lift with the blocks or the leaf springs for the rear?
You level GMT400's by cranking the torsion keys. Aftermarket torsion keys are an absolute waste of money, because the stock ones will lift your front end until the upper control arm hits the bumpstop. At that point your cv axles angles will be screwed.
@@devyn5919 ÿeah, good to know, i was checking torsion keys issue and you are right, but good to get advice for everyone :) If i give 1--2" blocks to rear, do i need the longer shock absorbers or they are needed for bigger lift more than 3" ? thx
@@LookInDJProduction The shocks should work with 3 inch lift, but they would perform very poor. The piston in the shock is designed to work in the middle of the stroke, and you would have it essentially bottomed out the whole time. The ride would be worse and stress out the shock components. Rough Country sells some relatively affordable replacement shocks for lifts.

Perfect! Still good on gas mileage and proportioned just right. Don’t change a thing.
Nice truck bro, got a 93 step side I’m working on but going for same look. 👍🔥

You can also get a 3/4 universal joint to replace it. Alot cheaper

Youll have to crank keys and maybe trim inner fender well up front thats it i ran both those setup before
