Love your videos, but they always seem unnecessarily long, you can still have a detailed video while making more cuts and editing out some bits and pieces. However, like I said, love the videos!
My hands are bigger, so I like a larger diameter tool. My design uses an integrated collet style holder, but like yours it allows for reversing the sewing needle tip that I used. Here's my video about hoe I made my version:

First off, great video. Thanks... Oil is not always your friend. I was always told to never use oil on Brass or Cass iron. It causes it to gum up... Again, Thanks.
Great video! One question how did you determine the length of the bushing so that it would allow for the tip to fully screw on?

It was a multi step process.
1. I parted it off longer than it needed to be
2. I inserted it into the body and screwed the cap on as far as it would go
3. I measured the distance between the top of the body and the bottom of the cap
4. I re-chucked it and face it to the correct length
Too beautiful to be used in the shop !! BTW, I think the woodworking tool is an awl or equivalent.
I do use it in the shop, I'm just careful with it. :-)
Can you also use a tungsten electrode for TIG welding as a scribe?
As long as you drill or ream the hole to the correct size, I don't see why you couldn't.
How to I get one of these from you?
Hi Paul,
I don't sell them, but you can get the blueprint for the scribe from my website (linked in the video description).
