    An impressive video, I simply given this onto a colleague who was doing a bit analysis on this. And he in reality bought me breakfast as a result of I discovered it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! However yeah Thnkx for spending the time to debate this, I feel strongly about it and love studying more on this topic. If potential, as you turn into experience, would you thoughts updating your video with extra details? It is highly helpful for me. Big thumb up for this video submit!

      +S00000by Thanks, I remember the school metal workshop. I absolutely hated metal work then and chose to do woodwork instead. Now I dislike woodwork!

    at 3:32 when mounting part in 4 jaw chuck, screen text appears 'See Jaw Configuration'. Where?

    • @SteveJordan

      Hi Gordon....its just a note to highlight the way the jaws are set....ie one set is put is in the chuck the opposite way around to the other two. This is so that the two jaws holding the length of the bar do not protrude from the chuck diameter too far. Regards Steve

      Thanks Steve, for the non-machinist, I took it literally ;) I focused on it, because I thought - that's a great idea.

    How did you make the ball end on the brass rod handle?

    • @SteveJordan
      @SteveJordan  8 років тому +2

      +William Combs Hi I just got a brass ball with a hole from my bits and pieces and bored it to slide on the handle before putting the head on.

    I know you're a professional, or the closest thing to it, but it makes me nervous seeing those shirt sleeves unbuttoned and dangling like that. great video,s though. Cheers

      Hi thanks for your concern but I only wear clothes that can't get caught on the lathe.

      Hi Thank you for your mentioning your concern about this important issue. Although I know this particular stiff work jacket won't get caught in the lathe, buttoned or unbuttoned. I agree that it does look bad practice on the video. Something that I overlooked at the time. Henceforth I will redress this issue and remember to do the poppers up.
