We just moved to the country and inherited a mature apple tree, I just made fruit leathers, they're dehydrating now! Eeekkks...I can't wait to try them! 12 hours the countdown is on! Thank you for the lovely video! God is good to us giving us delicious fruit:) I'm very grateful
I love your video, I love the way you speak. Thankyou for this. You made this technique sound like its one of the best and smartest way to preserve fruit.
I love that you are using a well used tin and not all brand new and expensive looking, And it reminds me of a mum just getting into it. I am not into the sterile look,. thank you.
I was stunned when I saw this demonstration, I grew up in South Asia and outside my school we had vendors selling various treats one on them was a savoury and spicy version of what you made, it bought back memories of my school days.
Hi Precious,i say you do have an special talent at doing this, making the fruit leathers, and this is an awesome, original, traditioninal way that you do know how to do it,and then there’s the natural, fun, healthy snacks, keep more videos coming, lovin’it,thank you, love Denny😘🙏🦋🍓🍌🍊🍇🍎🍉
oh wow! I would love some of these gorgeous fruit leathers! I'll have to wait and use the summer sun here in Greece to make some. If I may ask, what kind of honey did you use? Lehua maybe? Very interesting colour and texture!! Thank you in advance!
You don't have to strain it. I've also made a version where I didn't cook it first; I simply blended everything cold in my smoothie maker, skin and pips included, then put it straight onto the baking sheet.
Blessings in an abundance of the faith. I salute you. 😘🙏🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️💌🔐👣🗞️✝️ Grace and peace be unto you and to this place. Thank you for wondrous things. I love blackberries and used to pick them for my grandmother. She made cobbler with them and jelly. I’m grateful for that. Thank you for goodness. I pray for healing from all the murmurings and complaining that I and others did in Gods presence. In Jesus name. Will you believe and receive Jesus Christ as your lord and personal saviour??? I do. 😊
Using a silicon mat you'd of lost no nutrition soaking into the paper. A much easy improvement also lifting away easier when finished dehydration. Hope that helps.
I'm quite confused. The leather shown at the beginning was lighter red and seemed soft, while the one at the end looked almost black and it sounded crunchy when bitten into. How do we make this to come out like the one in the intro?
The first one she made was most likely a different fruit; possibly just apples or just peaches etc. The second one she made had apples and blackberries and that's why the colour was different. The exact texture will depend on the fruits used, whether or not you keep any small seeds in it (the tiny seeds from the blackberries may have got through the sieve) and how long it's cooked for. Ultimately, though, it will be leathery; some may just be a little tougher than others. I like to make an apple and ginger leather but I add some homemade date paste instead of honey. It's really lovely. :)
People in Iran used to do this for centuries - esp with pomegranates, barberrys and cornell cherries. We *NEVER* add any sugar because we love it sour and it's supposed to be healthy...since you can keep it stored for ages, it was a great way to have fruits and vitamins at the ready even during winter when you have no fresh berries. My grandmother told me they used to eat it as a kid to fight off colds and get vitamins. But I'm glad more people are eating now around the world - it's so much better than Haribo or processed trash!
Shame most women don't have this type of lifestyle as an option any more, husband and wife both have 40hr plus jobs / careers now just to pay a mortgage ! Progress eh .

And you have a incredibly beautiful kitchen !!! I love it :D
Very nice recipe :) Also works without an oven, just take a little longer
great video and I love your kitchen!
Hi there! Is there a reason why you don't just put the fruit in the processor? Why do you need to boil the fruit first?
I'm wondering about the amount of lemon juice per apples and blackberries.
Hi, THanks for this great video. Can I use something intead of lemon?
How many cups of blackberrys and apples?
Can you please write the amounts of your recipe? Or is there somewhere you have it published? Thank you.
wow I wish I had sone of those instead of those sugar sheets I had as a kid. What other fruits could I use to make this?
oh wow! I would love some of these gorgeous fruit leathers! I'll have to wait and use the summer sun here in Greece to make some. If I may ask, what kind of honey did you use? Lehua maybe? Very interesting colour and texture!! Thank you in advance!
The original Name is Lavashak not leather. Do not use any honey or jam to make it, just fruit
What do you do with them once they are made? How do you eat them?
😇 4:40 She's Salivating 😇
Excellent Video, Thank You
hello, .to what degree of heat in the oven do we put? and how long do you add gelatin?
Looks fantastic, but what would you use this for, any examples?
We normally just use it as a snack. It is great for kids to take to school as well.
Buenísimo gracias lo haré
It is a famous snack in Iran: "Lavashak"

Would a bit of that dissolve in boiling water? Wondering if it could be turned into a drink.
I'm pregnant and wanna eat something sour and I remembered this I've eaten it in Iran but I couldn't find it in Pakistan.
Thank you sooo much.
Same here now 😭 i’m pregnant and craving it sooo bad
AMAZING 😇👍🏾👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
thank you !
Maybe a daft question, but, could I make fruit leather out of homemade jam? If I heated up the jam again and spread it on parchment etc? Thanks
BevsArtsandCrafts Why don't you just buy fruit rolls if you are going to use processed foods? 😂
Can this be done in a dehydrater?
Are there any other fruits this would be suitable for? I'd love something with strawberries, oranges or limes.
You can make Lavashak with every fruit such as plum, pomegranate and ....
Yum!
Can we you oven for prepare fruit leather
What kind of heating mechanism is that? I have seen them on a lot of over seas cooking shows but never in america.
it’s an aga
IT’S CALLED LAVASHAK
If she called me about my extended warranty, I'd listen.
THANK YOU FOR VIDEO

Do you ... have to strain the fruit .. can't you just use all the pulp.. I LOVE the seeds ? ... o .. and can you use ... frozen berries?
You don't have to strain it. I've also made a version where I didn't cook it first; I simply blended everything cold in my smoothie maker, skin and pips included, then put it straight onto the baking sheet.
This could dry out in the sun?
Thank u mam 🌹

I don't believe it was first created in Iran. My native American family been making dried foods since people first invaded the U.S.
This is "Lavashak", not fruit leather roll.
S
The backing noise, I think it maybe music, is so annoying...
The original Name is Lavashak not leather
thanks, I didn't know that
This recipe ain’t hers it’s called lavashak it’s nothing new
This is originally made by Iranians it's called lavashak not leather and you don't bake it you dry it and you don't use blackberry
+Mechail Budgie Yep! And the sour versions are the absolute best! :)
+Mechail Budgie Yep! And the sour versions are the absolute best! :)
+Mechail Budgie Sounds like it's a common way of making treats with fruits and berries. Not exclusively made by any one culture.

Mechail Budgie You can not make up history and call it facts. Wait... you just did!
That was not a LITTLE bit of honey
It is when you consider how much puree there was.
It's not leather it's lavashak Iranian fruit roll yours is too dry you shouldn't bake in the oven you have to leave it 48 hour outdoor to dry
Shame most women don't have this type of lifestyle as an option any more, husband and wife both have 40hr plus jobs / careers now just to pay a mortgage ! Progress eh .
I disliked your video, you did not mention that it's a Persian snack and it is from Iran.
J'adore votre cuisine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Ce n'est pas sa cuisine. C'est un extrait de l'émission télévisée River Cottage. 😊
