Man, this is AWESOME... I wish they had a store near me, near Macon, Georgia.. i buy bags of soft plastics and only use 2 or 3 , the worm bar would be perfect. And the guy helping him, his help is priceless !!
All bait shops should have a worm bar.....even if a little smaller selection. Cuz even if thats not what u went in for, spendi mg a extra couple bucks on a few diff types to try......big win!
There’s a saltwater bait shop where I live that has a small section with lots of swim baits where you can pick and choose individual colors and sizes. Really fun!
What the guy refers to as chunks are styled off the classic Uncle Josh's pork rind jig trailers that we called a pig and jig. In fact Uncle Josh pork rind trailers are available again which I'm happy about. You should do a new vs old jig trailer challenge using Uncle Josh's against a Krackin Kraw.
Sometimes it’s better to live the moment instead of document it!! Remember you are a fisherman, you gotta get stories some how!! Another great video! Can’t wait to visit DFW, sheels and now Lake Pro Tackle!
That chunk you were asking about is a copy of the original jig trailer. It was a piece of pork skin soaked in salt water. They called the technique was called jig and pig.
That white chunky thing at the beginning of the plastics bar....we used to use Uncle Josh pork rind baits instead of plastic worms. I'm actually sleeping at my parents house right now near where they first tried out the pre-Uncle Josh baits. Next week I'll be staying maybe a twenty minute drive from the lake in Marquette County, Wisconsin where they first tried them out and where I grew up.
That magdraft color "SS" was sexy shad (just their version of it) I been catching tanks on the magdraft here in New York and also a weighted bladed trokar 4/0 hook with a kvd swim-n-shiner swimbait in grn pump/pearl belly 🎣💯💪🏼
Nice vid! I used to teach school there and would get my plastics and lures from there at Pond King aka LP Tackle. They also make custom mini pontoons and can also help with picking out a Kayak. I love their reel display and reels to choose from. They even will come out and stock yo or pond with the various types of fish they have.
That chunck bait is the old school pig n Jig style. Instead of rubber trailers on ur skirted jig we used to use pork strips in that exact shape. Pig n jig baby
Those ring worm twister tails are great rigged with a round jighead. Use them for walleye and yellow perch. They do work for those picky bass too. You guys picked out some interesting baits for sure. Great video as always! Those chunks used to be made of pork rinds and had to be kept in a jar with some kind of liquid. Wish they were rubber back in the day. So much easier to put the hook into them.
It’s so extremely rare to find a gem of a shop like this. We had a couple by me in CT. Both closed down. One is a bodega now and the other is simply empty. Too sad.
Hello I'm new to your fishing UA-cam channel nice tackle shop I love all the soft plastic baits on that bar and of course I love that magdraft swim bait 👍🏼🔥 I need to get me a magdraft
I'd love to go pond hopping out there i just need to figure out a plan of spots to hit up. I'd probably drive all the way out there from Cali. We don't have ponds like that out here. Any recommendations?
I can't believe you haven't ever heard of or seen a chunk... lol they're so old school, but they rock on a jig... just hook it straight threw the meat...
Don't sweat it, that was an awesome video. I wish you would have put the address of the shop in the description. That was a sick place and a sick video.
Considering I'm commenting on an eight month old video you'll probably never see this but if you want to learn more about the chunk look up Uncle Josh pork rinds they used to come in a glass jar with a metal top. Very old School
@@WestinSmith yea that’s right! I get them 2 towns mixed up. I was going from Greenville to Gainesville or Vice versus when I saw it, whipped a U turn and spent a good hour there. Big bag of plastics and a Wally Marshal crappie rig!
does anyone know of any place like this in Alabama? There used to be a few I knew of, but they are gone now. The Worm Shack in Tuscaloosa Alabama was awesome. Sadly, it burned down.
I need me a custom lure that looks like a Sandbass always see big Flatheads chasing my Sandbass in Wintertime it's always the big ones too so it'd probably have to be like 12 inches.
Good afternoon sir, I'm not even sure what your name is. I just decided to subscribe to you recently like within a few minutes ago from this time. I had been waiting for some of the channels that I subscribe to to put some new stuff out, and it just wasn't happening so I was looking around for older videos of some of their stuff which I did for a while but I just thought maybe why not look for something else. (originally I didn't want to take on any new channels because I subscribe to a lot of them). I haven't had long enough time to research you but I guess I will from now on. What I wanted to say was I don't even know The state and city of your origin or where you fish out of generally. This just looked like a really cool store to go to. I didn't even hear of some of the baits that you were talking about. I usually just get my stuff at the local Walmart and/or Academy Sports shop. I've got so much tackle that it's coming out of my ears! I'm currently on disability, so I have a lot of time on my hands. Had some problem with my lower back and hips. Recently a year ago I had a fusion done on my spine and this past February I had my first hip replacement. I'm getting the second one in January of 23. The first one helped me get through so much pain that I was able to finally get out of my shell meaning my house from being cooped up. I went out and got a fishing license. I had been an avid fisherman all my life but for the last couple years I wasn't. I did move to Florida from Pennsylvania 5 years ago, so we are in a much better climate to go fishing year round. If you can answer any of those questions or things that I asked, that would be great. If not, I'm sure you're busy, therefore hopefully one of your other subscribers can help me out. Thanks for what you do I appreciate it. I'm trying to learn as much as I can, because when I'm totally said and done here I would like to try to start a UA-cam channel myself. Thinking of even starting one the way I am now. I just don't know how I would do it without a camera person. Take care, God bless!

What black series googan spinning rod were you using?
Did I finally win something.

Do you have the address for the store

There goes the rent money.
4 bucks for that bag of plastics was a crazy deal. Store looks like it was created in heaven.
Crazy right 🙌🏼
They have bait bars everywhere here in sweden and it's super cheap
That worker seemed very good at his job. Knowledgeable for sure!
I thought he owned the place
Great idea with the worm bar. Would love to just pick and choose 2 or 3 colors and not have to buy a pack of 15.
for sure especially newer fisherman they waste so much money on test trial plastic worms.
