I would only accept a live service if it meant that Treyarch were the ones making the map on their own games but someone else or Treyarch were recreating/porting the map on a different game (ie one on cod itself the other on live service) so no one gets excluded and you'd get the original and a "newer take" (like base maps vs remasters often play differently and have some differences)
If they make a live service, id hope it would allow you to mix and match wonderweapons from different maps and add differing mechanics since they'd have a mashup of different ideas in a more "custom games" (custom mutations) type mode
and a standalone zombies games should have mod support and p2p + hosting your own server like in old games
