- This video shows my TrekWorks Signature Series sound system for the Submarine Seaview from Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea. It features 5 individual sounds from the classic TV series which will enhance your model of the Seaview.
If you would like to purchase one you can contact me via email at info@trekworks.net
This just brought me back to my home on Saturday afternoons in the 70s...oh man, great times.
The Seaview was a titanium hulled sub sailing the seas in the future 1980's though it was really the mid 60's. I liked this show, Lost in Space, The Time Tunnel, on Saturday mornngs woke up with Bugs Bunny Road Runner, midday Saturday was Johnny Quest, Rat Patrol. Saturday nights if the folks were home, it was Lawrence Welk...lol
@Dreh felix MeTV has; lost in space, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Highway Patrol, the Time Tunnel, among other old shows, check your listings, saw lost in space and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea this morning, Sunday.
No Rat Patrol though, you can still see the German Commander played by Hans Gudegast on The Young and the Restless as Victor Newman AKA Eric Braeden (Hans changed his name)
Nice line up y'all but you forgot F Troop.
You just took me back! I remember all of the shows!
@@johngrepo9976 yeah, the movies were great too. I remember Born Free, Georgie Girl, that song...lol, Fantastic Voyage that bald headed man was always playing bad guys.
same here
Great model. The first season Seaview design is my favorite. It’s interesting that when the movie was in production, the U.S. Navy didn’t allow Irwin Allen and his staff a tour aboard any of the nuclear submarines. So, Irwin Allen, being a fantasist, came up with this boat( which reminds me of something that would be in a Tom Swift book). Seaview was the Cadillac of movie and television submarines. It was big, beautiful, graceful, fast and very powerful.
Nicely said.
Exactly! The Seaview looked her best and most majestic in the 1961 movie and the first season of the television series - one sleek, grand, and gorgeous submarine! 🙂
There’s no better sound as the sonar ping. Love it
The next best sound is that of the Jupiter 2 firing up it's atomic engines.
Submarine at 90 feet cruising ping..........ping...........ping.........ping......pingya........pingya.....pingya.....pingya when it picks up a return or target.
@@eyecomeinpeace2707 Or the photon torpedo on Star Trek
😍
When I was a kid, I loved all the Irwin Allen shows: Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The Time Tunnel, Land of the Giants, but most of all Lost in Space. For a young boy in the UK who was to become an electronics engineer, there was plenty more great sci-fi and action on TV in the 60s, Star Trek, Mission: Impossible!, The Man from UNCLE. Whereas we also had some great British shows also: Stingray, Thunderbirds (the best ever, thank you so much Gerry Anderson RIP!), Captain Scarlet, Timeslip, Doctor Who,
right with you mate! Electronics and Computer Engineering and Physics , and definitely influenced by the great shows from the 1950's and 60's, to include Thunderbirds, but it was Admiral Nelson, Professor Robinson, Tony Newman and Doug, Mr. Spock and Mr. Scott, the movies the Andromena Strain, Fantastic Voyage.. what a time to grow up, and grow up with force fields, lasers, flying submarines, a tunnel that took you back in time. Just inspirational.
Our generation enjoyed the "Space Race" too. James Burke, Sir Patrick Moore, Raymond Baxter, etc.......no fancy special effects to rely upon. These guys had vision.
@@andystreet4022 Yes, I'm 57 years old. A man in his 30's told me he was privileged because the Space Shuttle was on the go while he was growing up. I just smiled and said, "I grew up with the Apollo moon landings."
Don't forget UFO and the Prisoner. I also used to be mesmerised by Space 1999
Boy does that bring back good memories, Thank you
Yeah, that big cupboard sized thing with lots lights on it in the control room always was the first thing to go bang and emit lots of sparks when ever there was trouble.
@@Puzzoozoo *cue stock footage of Seaview crashing into the same spot, like it did last time*
@@Puzzoozoo LOL, yes! That big board went off like a 4th of July fireworks show. Then, a minute later, you'd see it and it was clean, no smoke damage, with all lights working!
The Seaview was one of the main reasons why I joined the US Navy submarine service in 1978. My first sub that I went on was a nautilus I took a tour of it in Connecticut. The soap I qualified on was the USS Grayback SS 574. I sure miss those days in those tours.
I'm feeling like a teenager again. Produced by Irwin Allen with Richard Basehart, David Hedison, Dan Monroe and many others. I loved hearing all of those sounds from Seaview.

The best I seen. The sound floods the mind with great memories of how great this show was!! Love this!!!
I loved that show when I was a kid!!!!

Back in the early 60's, many young kids sat in front of T.V.'s watching the fall lineup of new shows. In Sept 1964 came along "Voyage to the bottom of the Sea"
This show was futuristic for the day and had a flying sub that was more like a flying wing. Very cool sci-fi episodes. I have always loved the design of the Seaview.
I just turned 62 on 9-23!
This made me time travel!
I'm YOUNG AGAIN
This took me back!
I really SAW the "Seaview" nose up out of water sequence in my head!
And all comments about all the other shows of the era...
brothers in arms!😊
Really need a UA-cam channel for all of then!
Thanks for sharing!
I have always thought that was such a cool looking submarine.
I'm 53 and I'm Brazilian. So many good memories with those sounds... I was a kid just the other day....
When I was a kid that was the coolest vehicle.
Fantastic era of family shows sadly missing in today’s tv
Yeah.
Well said!
Interestingly the 70's is when political correctness hit tv. First All in the Family, then you got Maude, then the Jefferson's , even Happy Days based on an American Graffiti theme started going lame.
I agree all the shows now are crap compared to the ones we grew up watching
@@gregorybuell686 the problem is today hey aren't shows, rather they are communist propaganda and people see right through it.
I saw this movies here in Brazil in 1970's...
Good to see this model!
Best regards here from Brazil
nice work there ,takes me back to my youth ,an awsome show id have a bath sunday night ,and id be sat there with a packet of crisps ,highlight of the week .for a 7 year old . bring back the old days .
Loved this show so much as a child. With this submersible lost it makes me think of Seaview
Wow I was 6 years old now 60, bring back lots of memories
Love Love Love this show! I was born in 1980 and just discovered this show in 2020. Now as part of my nightly routine before I go to bed I try to find a new episode or watch one that I've already seen on UA-cam!
It's good to see that the show is still being enjoyed all these years later. They don't make em like that anymore.
@@TrekWorks Absolutely 💯! I have a passion for this show! I love the orchestra soundtrack! Adds so much energy and thrills! I watch an episode every night before bed!
Do you have the shows on DVD or Blueray?
"The outer hull is giving way!" Loved that show.
Omg...just came across this...used to love this submarine as a kid, and still do! Cant remember how many times I made it out of lego. Brought a massive smile to my face when I saw this.
I grew up on this awesome series and the flying sub just blew me away!
It's good to see that submarine again
Absolutely astounding! You certainly bring magic and life back to some wonderful memories!
So inspiring to see such incredible talent and technical experience come to life to one such as me that would be clueless to achieving this!
Great memories... my favorite serie in 60's.
When the scenes in which everyone moved from one side to another, being shaken, came out, my grandfather made the same movement, and he took me out of the chair !, hahaha
all that sounds..brings my memory back😭..welldone capt..
That is so friggen cool, sounds really good I am watching an episode of Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea right now I love this show. Thanks for doing something I wish I could have done, great memories. Great job!
Bringing back great childhood tv show memories!
Always felt bad for Kowalski and Patterson, always got beat up by the monster. That is so cool. Thanks for sharing!
I always said that if I had a dollar for every time Ski got hit over the head I'd be rich lol!
WOW! That’s amazing! I’ve always loved the sea view & the flying sub. Very cool!!
This is the first model I put together by watching your videos Boyd! The sound effects are a terrific addition to this kit.
Magnificent! I loved this show as a kid in the late 60s. Brings back a lot of memories which at the time spurred my interest in the ocean and all it entailed. Greetings from Australia.
Bela recordação, q saudade da minha infância. Momento maravilhoso.Show.
Nicely done! I loved the mini submersible they had that could also fly. That was badass! Every week they got knocked around. Mr Crane. “Damage control! Report!”
Now *THIS!* Is the "U.S.R.N.S. SEAVIEW", that I want! When this *"double decker beauty",* 'breaches', at the *North Pole!* In the big screen movie, *"Voyage To the Bottom of the Sea!"* I was awestruck!
That opening is here on YT if you want to see it again.
@@TK-zf7sx Definitely! Just how would I find it?
@@WalterDWormack214 - It was posted by a user named Jonny Suárez. I found it by searching for "Seaview sub breach". Try this link if it works.

That was a very cool show ..who remembers the little sub that would come out ?
I like the beautiful sound.
My compliments.
THAT....is a stunning model with terrific sound effects.
Even by TODAY'S standards, the Seaview is THE best-looking nuclear-powered submarine that easily holds its own. A crying shame it's fictitious. Damn thing is just too cool, beyond words.
Awesome model.
I think my first sci fi show, I well remember faithfully watching every new show, I was only eight when it debuted. Even if the plots got a little silly, Richard Basehart and David Hedison made it worth watching. The supporting cast and guest stars were also quite good.
Very cool.
LOVED THAT SHOW AS A CHILD ... DAM !!!
Travel to the bottom of the sea! Unforgettable series of the 60s, still, in our day captures the attention in such a way that I do not miss its chapters in You I had and I remember again, which is the same as living again. Thank you for uploading this memory!
I loved that show, brilliant model, brings it all back!
A blast from the past
Always loved the flying sub!
Superb work! Loved this demo...........brought back happy memories of watching this show as a school kid. Thanks for posting.
Amazing work. The only weird thing is the missile being fired. Rockets do not ignite to fire Missiles out of the tube. Water is vaporized to create pressure, which launches the missile. Then, when it breaks the surface, the engines ignite.
Why spoil the beauty of a thing with legalities?
That is very cool makes me want to watch the show.
GRACIAS!!!!
Wow the speaker's sounds so crystal clear, very cool!!!
Well done, outstanding job! Beautiful model with the authentic sounds from the show. Something I remember as a kid: The diving alarm at 1:46 was from Season 1 as it's the short, raspy "OOO-GAH" sound. In either Season 2 or Season 3, a longer "AH-OOOOOOOO-GAH!" alarm was used for diving and for emergency alerts.
Wonderful! I loved that show. Thanks for uploading an amazing model.
One day, All subs will look this good !!
I don't think so. Did the wings even have a useful purpose?
Wow, I had this model in a smaller size when I was a kid, loved that tv show, I had also the yellow flying submarine that came out from under the seaview.
Great memories of this show!! Saturday morning's i waited for this show to come on.
Those were the days...straight home from school in the pouring rain barefooted for three kilometres along an unsealed road potholes everywhere...sitting in front of the fire...watching this on TV
Good memories, great cast.
One of my favorite shows back in the 60's. I'll never forget the episode of the ghost aboard the Seaview and the wet footprints and the seaweed. And that's all I remember of that episode other than it scaring the hell out of me. Lol
My favorite tv show as a kid
beautiful memories I really liked this series
A lot of memories spring from this.
Can't believe I never saw this video before Boyd, that is beautiful and brings back memories
That is so kool. I miss that program.
Hi. Thank you so much. I watched that TV series in Chinese millions of years ago. Thank you so much.
Loved that show as a kid In the sixties
I remember trying to mimic the sound of the submarine. I was prob 5 years old. Still great memory
Only now do I know it was green and not gray. At the time my TV was black and white. LOL. Thanks for posting.
Boy I traveled to my childhood now that cool
Great show when I was a kid
Brilliant , loved the series when I was a kid ,great model and sounds
I love the sound two of the Ping , and I remember Richard basehart those TV shows really made you patriotic
Wow what memories. Thanks
Me lembro nos anos 70`s, eu ainda menino, naquele tempo bom incomparavel!
very nice
Wow to much memories ... Good job!
Bravo!!!!
takes meback!!..what a beauty! nice one!
Esses sons me faz viajar no tempo , Parabéns pelo vídeo .
Went to school with Chip Morton's nephew. He was a super bright kid, rather quiet back in the late 60's
That's pretty cool.
@@TrekWorks Yeah, his name was David, super smart kid, rather quiet, that was in 1968, the same year a substitute teacher whose husband was an exec at Disneyland took us on a fieldtrip there. She had a brand new mustang convertible with 11 kids in it lol. That day, we loaded up with straws and paper napkins a the fantasyland food court. Had a pee shoote spitwad war in the then, new Haunted Mansion. As the Doombuggies slowly rotated the tactical advantage changed. The teacher got shot with a spitwad and the kids got busted by security. I was smart enough to stay out of it. The good kids got to meet her husband in offices behnd Mainstreet. Her husband reminded me a lot of Actor Gig Young, very nice. He gave us all mouseketeer hats with ears and a personally signed book by Walt Disney. I got both books from 1968 in my drawer plus original intact ticketbooks. He gave us those so we could bring our parents there.
Wow so awesome. Memories...
L O L, awesome job I love voyage I still watch it all the time over and over and actually nights I can't sleep I turn it on and I go right to sleep
Love these old shows. Erwin Allen was the brain child of very forward thinking ideas. I'm sure he would have loved to have tackled A.I. Great scale work, and craftsmanship!
I loved it when the sub rocked side to side.
when I was a child I watched that series with my father🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱👍🏻👏1971
That is so cool! Of course, I had models of the Seaview but never like that.
In NYC the cartoons were from three to 5pm, Voyage to the bottom of the sea and lost in space closed out the T.V time.
Boy, this brings back my 10 year old! Love this.
very nice Love the sound system I have never tryed to do that.
I have been building models since since I was 5 back in 1961 and the only time I ever fixed a model that had sound I sort of cheated I placed the model with its base on a I guess you would call it a music box but the music was from the show like yours.
That sub was the s**t. Loved the front end. Nuke torpedos. Alien killers. Admiral Nelson was the man. Flying sub . Irwin Allen genious.
The sonar bleep would be a cool ring tone
