When I hold eye contact I judge myself and feel I look goofy or lame instead of attractive and good looking how I think I’d look while maintaining eye contact in my head. Then a lot of the times when I try to be open welcoming eye contact I notice the other person is avoiding eye contact so I’m like… ok
So I'm autistic (actually autistic, professionally-dx'd and everything.) They used to call it "extreme male brain syndrome" as a joke. I actually NEED explainers like this because whatever flipping part of my brain was supposed to learn it just...didn't. I think it DOES unsettle people, men and women alike, when I'm obviously female but move as a man. Eye-contact, though...that is HARD for me. I can't really concentrate on what I am saying, what they're saying, if I'm trying to process eye contact information at the same time.
Tip 1: Maintaining eye contact
Tip 2: Open posture
Tip 3: Smile genuinely
Whew , Im so Tomboy-ish yet working on growing into my feminine(which I feel I am naturally soft, i just gotta re-learn)

Watch Steven Tyler during interviews. His body language is phenomenal.
eyecontact is really difficult for me
Me too!!! But we can do it x
Me too. Often I’ll look away and when I resume eye contact, the other person is frowning at me. It feels awful 😔
Look between their eyebrows
I actually choose not to have an eye contact 👎
Hello there ❤❤❤
