didn't get his name but the ice-blast guy presented very well. seemed honest and knowledgeable
It was great to meet you and your Dad at ShedFest. Thank you for staying behind and meeting people at the end.
It was a pleasure! Thank you!
Love the Opel Manta in the background. Had a 2.0 GSI version back in the day.
Brilliant works guys 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Good job on getting the car ice blasted, big difference from before and after.car is getting there not too much more rust to go.great video.finish this up and another one done.just keep doing what you’re doing and carry on.😎😎😎👍👍👍
Great work! Respect for that... Wow!
Great work as always, dry ice has done a great job, looking forward to seeing it painted and on to the next one.
Very interesting video and showcasing new technology and methodology. I also like that Stiletto lurking in the background. Hope it will become a feature as I have always liked them since I read and followed some via the pages of the now defunct Cars and Car Conversions magazine, when living in Malaysia and Australia. Love the work and the ongoing. impressive videos that you, Ryan, Steve and the crew put up.
It was great talking to you at Shedfest today! You guys are smashing it! The work you've done to save Roger from the scrapheap is amazing! So many great cars in your workshop too! 😁
Fantastic to meet you and many others at the show! What a brilliant show it was! Thanks so much :) We have a lot in store!
I like how during the introduction, the other guy was already eyeing up the job.
This has become what I like to call a "metallically sound car" 😁
He was ready to tackle Rogers dirty bottom :P
@@yorkshirecarrestoration That instantly reminds me of Austin Powers when he'd do a dozen one-liners after creative deaths of henchmen.
"It got iced. The car was put on.. ice. Your relations with that car have become somewhat.. arctic. The car doesn't have the hots... for... you.." 😂
Good update keep it up the good work 👍👍
Can't wait to see one of your projects completed. Loving your work. Keep it going :)
Top work Steve and Ryan lovely bit work u all done look forward to the next one 👍
Brilliant 👍love all the videos you show, doesn't matter which car it's all good for me thanks
Hello 👋 good buddy Ryan captain yorkshire and Steve this was a awesome video that dry ice stuff works great for cleaning I love how that undercoating went on it looks tough. Me and my brother really enjoyed the video good job buddy hope you all have a wonderful Sunday..my hand is getting much better now thankfully
Thanks so much David! It really is good stuff. And the blasting worked wonders! Painting video will he out on Wednesday :) glad to hear about your hand getting better! :)
Great video! Love the machine too!
HI from Perth Australia :) (keep the algorithm going fellas)
Thanks! :)
You’re a wizard mate! Magically transformed this shitbox to gold!
Nice work! I would have preferred seeing suspension removed so it didn't get the stone guard and undercoating applied to it. Dry ice would have been great for the wheels as well.
Thanks Jeff. And we purposely coated the suspension to protect it. We used thr flexible stuff for it :)
wooow nice!
Watching this while during sill repairs on an e46. 😂👍🏻
Space age technology, amazing stuff
Saw you at shed fest what you’ve done with Rodger is absolutely astounding looks like it was just off the production line keep smashing what you do it was nice chatting with you too
Just a comment to keep the algorithm ticking over. Best wishes.
I saw this car today at Shed Fest , it looks like an excellent job.
You Rock!
Really good we have never seen a project go this far before
It's done, we have already given it back to Alex :).
The e30 baur is also done and painted :D
Great to see you week in week out demonstating skills that make cars being shown in SEMA to be nothing more than ptetty but only ever museum pieces. These cars you bring back from the graveyards are amazing time real quality travellers.
I could watch dry ice blasting all day, so satisfying. Its come up great
E30 ❤
Asome 🍺✅️
The time and effort involved is incredible. At the end of this series, can you give us some idea how much this level of restoration would cost?
Thx
How many tins of dinitrol stonechip/unseal did you use nice job
Very impressed, how long does it take to clean the car with dry ice?
The ice blasting works very well but if the engine is even slightly incontinent the clean won't last long.
noice one
Thanks!
Nice one. You tackled that minging underside well.
Is the Dinitrol 445 a suitable repair for the OEM rubberised 3M type underbody sealer?
I was looking for a product to cover an area I’d repaired on my 90’s Polo in the wheel arch which would dry and could be overpainted if desired.
Tried the 4941 and realised it remained tacky.. so cleaned that all off and used motip antigravel, which dried and could be overpainted.
Hi There, Dinitrol 445 is a synthetic resin/plastic-based product with anti-drone effect for
stone chipping and bodywork protection. Once it has dried it is over paintable. Let me know if you need anymore information. Thanks!
@@DinitrolUK cheers. Is it compatible with 1k type aerosols?
Why are we not a 1million subs by now. im sure every one is telling there FnF all about YCR arnt they come on ppl 1mil subs by the end of the year
Bonjour, quand vous occupez vous de la MAZDA COSMO ???? Je voudrais bien la voir terminée. Merci, vous faites de l’excellent «"job" !!!!
That series will be coming back soon :)
you must bye a laser with cleaner, welding and cutting is good for yorkshire
👍
its all make more fun to work in a clean space.as in a dirty one,so you get less dirtier.
You doing incredibly great work with panel repair but dust on floor in pain boot and no filters or ventilation?
And still the paint turned out exerlent.
How does it work on aluminium?
This looks like fun 🤩 😂😅😢😮😂😂😂
It was :)
I'm no expert but shouldn't the metal have been etch primed before the stone guard was applied?
It was primed 😆 silver primer on all the repairs. However the dinitrol stuff can also be applied directly to the metal in some cases. But always good to prime first
Excellent. Sorry for question
Me in the US: national coverage wow... wait wrong country. think the state of Texas size.
Yes 1st❤😂
9:21, did they really not spin the driveshafts to clean them all around? The right one looks like its still half gunked up.
The really important question...do you support a football team...if so which one(s)
just in time, it seems Taylors bought the worlds Miniest Rust, i mean Rustiest Mini...
He has, it's bad!
@@yorkshirecarrestoration As soon as I saw that car I thought of you guys!!
If it could remove corrosion on aircraft, you would make a fortune. Inlet cowls, wing skins , if this gor Airbus, Boeing approval its huge.
🤘😎🤘🚗💨🇬🇧
Shame the dry ice blasters missed so many spots, you would have thought, given they were on a popular channel, they would have taken the opportunity for free advertising and been more thorough.
that's a bit rough, it was just an example I thought on what they are capable of, I thought it was quite amazing.
I really like the technology, it was the application I was disappointed with.
I jusst had an egg
Sent from my iPhone
Fantastic job but should had stripped the bottom off and had it clear it who stone chips springs and brake and fuel lines cutting corners there but I think was over the moon with the cleaning till he done that to it
There's always one who isn't happy. What do you want for free and on a deadline 😁
@@yorkshirecarrestoration is Mat Armstrong on a deadline or could you please give some idea when the epic build will be complete ... regards 👍
the springs were not stonechipped pal, we used the 445 (stonechip in the arches) and the 4941 (soft self healing stuff) on the springs and fuel lines, they need protecting as well as they are also metal haha
How many weeks did the ice blasting take?😅
If the recent posts are anything to go by, probably a year, only for the wiring loom to have been sabotaged.
Not quite sure what you are both steering your comments towards. But the ice blasting itself took 1 day. No loom has been harmed in any process
@@yorkshirecarrestoration It's just that the ice blasting seems such a slow tedious process. I would have thought outside and a warm jet wash would be quicker and less effort?
@@anthonykinrade8642 jet wash the underside of a car outside? Not quite sure how we would get to the underside of the car with a jet wash. Also that has high potential to damage electrics with them being old and brittle. Not worth the risk in my opinion. Same with the engine bay.
@@yorkshirecarrestoration I have seen a car jet washed outside without harm, but you are quite right, very risky...
Can't believe you spent all that time/money having it ice blasted just to cover it all in black shultz.
Looked mint before you tarmaced it
How is dry ice "chemical free"? It comprises cooled CO2; CO2 is a chemical!
How is co2 a chemical....its an inert gas!
someone didn't pay attention in Science
I love to follow your work but i can't bear this music anymore.
Bummer to hear it. I actually enjoy the music choices
When are we going to see something else as those boring BMW’s? how is the cosmo going or the 911?
It's not about the car it's there expertise
