Hey mate - great tip!! THANK YOU!! I surg fed on Sunday and again today and its REALLY helped me ALL round! My shoulders and neck aren't in agony after each surf (at first i though "that's a great but unusual side effect") but i suppose when i think about it, if you are breathing rhythmically through the nose , you are raising the diaphragm & raising your chest & shoulders off the board (the way it is supposed to be), so I guess my neck and shoulders are not being put under so much strain?
When in the ocean I find that I can't really breathe through my nose, water on my face gets into my nose if I do. Mouth breathing is less optimal, but I see no way around this. Any tips?
I’m new to surfing. Borrowed my friends waterlogged wavestorm with the rails peeling off today for my first surf sesh. Is it smart to get a 5’8 board over a wavestorm? It’s $60 vs the $120 wavestorm. (Offerup prices). I’m 6’.
The question needs a lot of criteria. A. can you skateboard? B. How good can you swim? can you swim the length of a pool under water? If you answered yes to both of those go ahead and get the five eight... If you answered no to either one of them get a 7'0 soft top
@@didymostruespeal I can skateboard a bowl and I’ve been snowboarding for 11 years. My swimming is ok, I can do 100 meters but my time is awful. Thanks for the reply but I already got a 6’ hard top. Graduated from the wave storm after 3 sessions lol
Thanks so much for this! Couldn't wait to try it. It made such a huge difference. Paddling feels so much smoother and less effort.
Breathing rhythm is helped by swimming!!
Awesome Content! Thank you!

Ya man! Rhythm makes such a big difference. Especially when it becomes so natural that you don't even think about it.
