To be honest, you are the only person I know who does so many things at once. It's definitely a good source of youtube content but be careful because it can also affect your mental health. Good luck with your exams!
Life is a buffet. Sometimes you really want two desserts, but there is only room for one. The best way to deal with it is not putting it on your plate in the first place, rather than figuring out how to eat those two desserts. Free time for free thinking, is just as important as trying new things.
most of us learn to keep healthy boundaries on the internet, its good you have a group of real friends & family, your always working on improving yourself, little wiser today than yesterday PEACE MR
You can do it! I had a lot of stuff going on when I was in your situation, including classes, extracurricular activities, and fraternity. And I managed to maintain a lot of great friendships. You could do this.
Hey Tate, I believe you have this this scenario before and you mentioned that you tend to thrive in the busy schedules. I have no doubt that you will achieve all these busy activities. Speaking of the goals, based on the short daily summary videos they seem be making progress from my view of things. You got this!
What has worked for me, is to understand that it takes time to retain information. For best recall short burst of study is the most effective, based upon most research. That doesn't mean you can't do the busy work for your assignments but the actual recall you need short study sessions then change up what ya do. Just Prioritize your tasks and you will feel less stress the more you get done. But, Again for best recall don't study in large time blocks at least not on the same subject. It is not overall efficient. The more you get done the less stress you will feel. Flash cards/practice tests/repetition/ associate subject matter with other similar know concepts or things. Then reward yourself when your done :). BTW I would love to get a link of a comedy routine video link. If you have to cut something out that is low on priority so you can do good on your tests it shouldn't be that big of a deal. Practice tests should give you a good idea if your ready and have extra time for other stuff. Have a great night.
For sure just tell the Fraternity that you are very interested and that you have a bunch of tests (they do like to keep their combined GPA's up). Also mention that you need to work on a philanthropy project since that is the bread and butter of a fair number of fraternity activities. I can tell you that my fraternity would have seen this honesty, and the things you need to put your time into as positives.
College is the time to throw yourself into doing too much and catching up on sleep when you can. Enjoy balancing all the fun & serious stuff you want to do so you get it all done. You’ll miss the freedom to try all this stuff once you graduate and enter the real world so enjoy the craziness of life right now!
Personally, I would let the fraternity slide. It’s not like it’s your only opportunity to join. Just a personal opinion. On the other hand, more free time can just as easily be wasted too…
Setting goals or targets to hit is the best way to handle organizing life. Welcome to the world of being an adult. Keep these things going in your life, work life, etc, and you will achieve great things.
O one more thing, with flashcards you can study while you walk from place to place, just don't do it around traffic or high places. On a big campus that will give you at least a hour of extra study time.
Good luck with all you've got going on! But proper planning that you exhibit in spades leads to premium results! I think you've got this figured out, at least to a good extent!
Tate, prioritize: academics should be #1, then sounds like the comedy shows are important to you. OK. We haven't seen any new paintings in a long time. I can't tell you what to do, but if it was me, I'd bag the fraternity. You might be starting to burn the candle at both ends. Just talking from a lot more years of life experience. Take care.
If you accept a fraternity bid, it's going to take a lot of your time & effort during the pledge season. They had my pledging roommate up at all hours of the night, dragging him out of bed at 3:00 am to go on an adventure somewhere. You won't really have control of your daily structure---when the boys say jump you have to do it, even if you need to study or have a comedy club meeting scheduled. There are anti-hazing rules now but, in many cases, they are ignored or circumvented. As his roomie, I witnessed or heard about a lot of what went on & some of it wasn't pretty.
*There are anti-hazing rules now but, in many cases, they are ignored or circumvented.* Isn't that the truth as they all, have daddy's lawyers create NDA's now and get people signed up and then it all goes south because they get trapped. Protects the colleges, fraternity's and screws you over in every way.
Your health and family comes first, college work and exams comes second, hobbies and side projects you are teasing and trying out comes third. Tate, priorities, and if it honestly was me it's time to focus on the important. 12 hour days, only 12 hours, shame on you should be at least 18. 🤣 Seriously though the Fraternity from what I am gathering and what has been said in videos is using you for their means and I say dump them as you've enough things going on and not needing those so and so's involved in your life. I'll give you an example, Ty Simpkins, *(yes the actor)* was like you shy, all overwhelmed and thought fraternity, these people will be my friends forever and ended up used, abused and inked and all they cared about was the money held in trust for him from the movies, making demands from him and wanting networking links and special favours and didn't care about him the person. Took his parents and lawyers to get involved when the police started turning up and everything was being blamed on him. Just be careful, you're a gift to the world and you have talent that one day could see you do great things in the future and I'd hate to see that taken away from you because of certain people.
At this stage of your life , education number 1

God, you impress me Tate. Carry on and keep living well!
"say you're awake for twelve hours" "I'm just a college kid"
Those two statements absolutely go together 😂

Sometimes, but I just handle the situation. Tate, you can work it out. But I understand your situation. 👍

Pick what u think is the most important things first, then do your best to get the other things done. 👍
It happens throughout your life. Balance is important. Figure out what works for you and remember to make some time for fun every day.

Great job again Tate. You are very inspirational. I'm sure your parents are very proud of you. Thanks for all the uplifting vids!!

You got this 💪 have a good night B And always look up And Smile.❤ After the storm?
I think you can handle it. If need be, just do two minute videos for a few days. Everyone will understand.
To be honest, Tate, sometimes when you say I've got a lot on my plate I think you have too much on your plate. It's no shade to cut back s little.
Tate......How do i go about getting a monetary donation to you for your food drive? You are doing awesome this term. Just keep on keeping on!😁
❤❤❤
