Thank you all for watching my videos and making one of my dreams become a reality! There are a few glitches with the video where it freezes for a few seconds, apologies for this, it only seems to happen once uploaded to UA-cam!
Now try a winch launched glider. 0-60 in 2 seconds and you're 2000 ft up in about 12 seconds. Better to drive a slow car fast than drive a fast car slow. If I want to be able to say I've driven a Ferrari, I can rent one for the day. I would never buy a Ferrari simply because they think they still own the car after you've paid 6 figures for it. Can't even manage to put the window switches next to each other🤣 Exhaust sounds tinny and rattly. A VR6 with a Borla exhaust sounds better. This just sounds like the pathetically small crossplane V8 it is. Not even 300lb-ft of torque. Less than a VW Typ R. And a tuning bias towards HP really only works on a track. You don't need 400HP to carve up the twisties on a public road or, if you do, you belong in prison. 14:07 Those switches, OMG - looks like they were done on a cheap 3D printer and they couldn't even be bothered to smooth them down properly. Then there are the unfinished cylinder head covers. Just raw sand castings, machined just enough to work and then painted. It looks like a lazy effort. Transmission is just like using a quick shifter on a bike, just with an automated clutch for taking off. The fact you had to feel out how to shift it pretty much explains why I've never seen you doing the same with a $30k superbike. They're a lot cheaper and the Ferrari is just going to shatter into a million pieces in a wreck anyway. But you have to have some serious riding skills to handle one.
That's uncanny. My first Ferrari experience was in a 360 spider. I didn't get to drive it but my dad's business partner had just got one. I was in bed hungover on a Saturday as a young 22 year old back in 2003 and my mum told me to get up if I wanted to go out in Gary's Ferrari. I assumed it would be some beaten up old thing but parked outside was a brand new black 360 spider with the roof down. I almost fell down the stairs to get outside and he took for a proper blast down the local coast road a few times. Somewhere the pictures must still exist. I must find them. Brought back memories this did.
This has to be one of the best videos. I was fortunate to do a supercar experience at Thruxton on the late 2000s the 360 along with 911 Turbo, Mucialago were awesome
I’m the biggest ferrari fan! and I drove a ferrari for the first time last year. It was a 599. What a insane unreal experience. I get chills just thinking of the memories. Everything I dreamed it would be!
Congratulations on driving you're 1st Ferrari! You have picked the car and colour that I aspire to own one day. Having driven the f430. The spider is the dream!
Loved this. I waited 30 years dreaming after watching Clarkson on TG Christmas 1990 with new 348, before I finally got my manual 360 Modena. There is nothing like that top end high pitched scream. Nothing. I'll never sell.
Good on you! Best thing about the Ferrari's 360 and 355 is that you can rev them out and not be driving dangerously. I sort of raced a 355 in my TVR this evening (not planned), the 355 sound totally won over my v8. I hope some of the drivers we passed thought it a wonderful 90s moment. I think I do prefer the 355 over the 360, but this is mainly due to it being for me a 90s iconic car.
My first ferrari experience was a 458 around thruxton circuit. I found the steering so direct, and the double clutch gearbox was superb. I have always been a Lambo man and was lucky enough to fulfil my dream the very same day when I took the wheel of an Aventador, I could feel the same emotions you were feeling watching this video. I've certainly got something a bit different in the garage if you fancy giving it a go? A MEV Exocet. Congratulations on this mega achievement.
Awesome content. It's nice to see your genuine reaction to driving a Ferrari the first time. That was my reaction driving and owning a V8 for the first time 👌
It was the Lambo Gallardo for me at one of those driving experience days, the guy let me nail it down the straight section so I buried my foot in the bulkhead and the sound of that v10 became an obession. I barely slept that night as I was lying awake thinking of how to possibly afford one!
What can i say , i love that video. Im happy for your childhood memories and of course im happy for you cause you fullfield your dream. Someone will say oh cmon its not fast but who cares when you have a V8 engine from Maranello factory and that noise oh my god i love that noise. 360 Modena , 360 Spider and 360 Challenge Stradale are my dream cars. Greetings from Greece.
For those who dream of sport cars that are great and a bargain, I see a three cars journey. First is the Miata. Owners shout their praises and love their cars. Many race them. A decent one car be purchased for pennies. The next step is the Boxster. I own one now. a 2000 S model that I just love. Cost me just a bit above $10K 3-4 years ago with only 50K miles. It is an amazing car for very little money. I thought it would be my forever weekend toy but then I began to learn about the 360 Modena. Again, just a bargain for what it is; a car than most people could own if they give up other extravagances. Thanks for your video. Your enthusiasm is catching. You must have caught some of that from Sam (Through The Glass). You both just exude love of cars.
Brilliant, I’m sure you will own one, one day! My Dad would never have gone anywhere near a Ferrari dealership when I was a kid. I like the 458 Italia but not sure I could live with one!
Amazing! I was lucky enough to drive a Ferrari California, Aston Martin V8 Vantage and Audi R8 V10.....track day experience, was not able to "floor" it. The sound from the Aston was unbelievable. Get yourself an Aston and drive through that tunnel!!!
Been a huge Ferrari fan since I was a kid, love it when it runs, my own experience has been somewhat problematic with the F1 Transmission. Currently, swapping out Accumulator and Clutch solenoid. otherwise, the driving experience is amazing!
I am not going to try and compare my Alfa GTV 3.0V6 (1998) with the Ferrari, but I have fitted a Wizard quad exhaust system to mine and it makes me smile ear to ear every time I drive it. It has the wonderful Busso engine which fans describe as like a baby Ferrari. If you haven't driven one, then please do, or, even better, do a video of one!
Congratulations Joel. The shared experience and your reaction really shows what these cars can do and how they get under your skin. 360’s with an exhaust do sound wonderful (off to AutoTrader!?)
Another 360 experience here 🤟 track day back in 2010, drove to Silverstone in my yellow Fiat Coupe and then straight into a another Italian car 😀 Pleased you got to try in out the road, my instructor kept telling me to slow down, but it was a trackday Birthday present experience and i wanted to get my money's worth 😎 keep up thr great content 🙏
Welcome to the madness known as 'Ferrari' Joel! You should try a manual F355 next just for the sound of that engine at full chat. Just don't ask me about the servicing/maintenance costs...Still the cheapest car I've ever owned though (bought in 2011 for £35k, sold in 2021 for £75k). Enjoy!. Cheers from a lovely sunny Otford, Kent.
I drive my 911 about but it’s too fast really for British Roads. You rarely get into 4th let alone 6th, so I get your point. Most people who own these type of cars own at least 2 other more usable cars. Smiles for Miles though. Not a daily.
..geesh, you went all the way to another country with a mate to go fetch a Ferrari, and not once did he give you a chance to have a squirt of the accelerator on a safe stretch of road (even if a stolen moment) the whole time?.. what a prick that friend/colleague is.. 🤦🏾♂️😅 or you're just having us for the dramatic effect... 🤷🏾♂️
Views are dropping rapidly Joel. Need some more videos on your cars. Be very careful not to walk down dog piss lane as people will unsubscribe. Need to move he Cayenne and XC90 on and buy something else.

My Ferrari also made me cry…because it’s so shit 😂
A different kind of tears 😂 I can’t wait to see that thing up and running
My 360 in the video makes me cry each time I take it for a service!

Definitely not cheap to own. Worth it when it is up and running? Definitely.
The smile/tears say it all! Congratulations, mate!

Brilliant Joel. This typifies why your content is great. No hype, or 5 minute trends- but a deep passion.
Oh my goodness!! 🥺🤯 This video is a work of true love and passion...I see a Ferrari in your future 😁
What a brilliant, relateable intro. I can still remember hearing a 360 Modena for the first time - I didn't know cars could sound like that.
Me neither, it’s really different when you’re actually there!

Glad you enjoyed it Joel, great video.

Thanks so much for sharing it with me, and everyone here on the channel!
Well done on a great video. Congratulations Joel on fulfilling a childhood dream. I was smiling from ear to ear watching your joy.
Thanks so much for watching
Happy to share your first ferrari drive Joel 👍

The V8 sounds better than the V12 I used to own, it’s all about that pitch. I reckon that’s a good choice never to sell!
What an absoloute belter! Made me smile this, hopefully if you keep trading up mate you'll be able to own one of these.
Thanks so much, fingers crossed
Been watching you for ages now joel and you so deserve to own one of these!
Thanks so much, appreciate that

Brillant Video joel. One of my favourites aswel! Keep up the hard work and one day you will have one.

nice. What a shows do you go to - plenty more need driving

I get the same sound on my wee abarth 595😂

Just subscribed Joel. I hope this helps you out.
