- The #NissanGTR may be getting old, but it’s getting another round of changes for 2024! The #GTRNismo remains the most track oriented and quickest model, but Nissan has also brought back to #GTRTSpec name. All models get subtle front and rear styling changes along with new exterior and interior colors. Up to 600 HP can be found under the hood the of the #Nismo trim making the GT-R one of the quickest accelerating cars on the road.

the fact nissan can ask over $100k for a 10 year old car AND it still has a cd player is honestly impressive
they can overprice it because the sales volume is beyond abysmal... actually worst sales number I've ever seen on a production vehicle. they don't have any GT-Rs to move, so they can ask stupid prices and someone will inevitably buy it. I am a fan of the GT-R, but it's a joke compared to things like the BMW M4 comp xdrive at 66% the price with better performance and a superior platform and interior
@@sly9263 huh? A bwm dealer 5 miles from me is selling M4 comps for over 100k and there is even one with a "carbon package" for 144k 🤦 how is that 66% of the price ? Lmao and at the end of the day a m4 is still generic 45k lease hairdresser car underneath that will lose 1/3 of it's value in 2 years 😅
BMW/ Bowel Movement Wanker! Also P.O.S!
@@VaunShiz they're all 82-94k new within hundreds of miles of phl NYC. There's a ton of them avail too. Those gtrs premiums will be over 120k
@@VaunShiz the gtr is an overpriced dinosaur with an economy class interior fit for a 20k car
If you look closely, you might see a slightly different front bumper. Nissan is good with this design for another 10 years now
Lol
Is fast, I had a 2015 FBO E85 , but I traded for a F90 M5, because I wanted a luxury interior and newer technology , every time I’m inside the R35 I felt like I’m in a classic vehicle
It looks like an OEM + GTR that a dude with some coin did a good job of refreshing his 2012 model.
Honestly, I think the GT-R has aged well for how old it is~ Still looks good 16 years later
Why you people call a fender bumper🤔..it's a fender re the front of the car yo
T-Spec is very pretty. Nismo is a bit too flashy for my tastes, I like the understated look.
The fact I went through high school, college, And 5 years in my career while this car looks exactly the same is mind blowing. Step it TF up Datsun.
Lazy designers lol
@@checkdilevels1180 where the NSX now though 🤔 who's actually lazy ? 😅
I guess it's more like "if it's not broken don't fix it and charge double the money :)"
Even though I somewhat agree, it still has the legendary and bulletproof engine, and the awesome ATESA AWD system tho.
Acura did the same with the NSX.
I hope Nissan continues making this masterpiece.
A masterpiece of sh!t. This car is boring and uninspiring. Nissan please kill it. The NSX look like an exotic not dopey car
I hope so too, but not a lot of people buy the GT-R, and it's probably because it hasn't gotten a thorough refresh since 2017, and also the price is almost hitting $120,000. Some people probably don't see the point in getting the GT-R because of that. Still less expensive than most supercars but I can understand why people would choose another option.
The purple R34 looks sick!
I don't know why, but I can't stop loving this car
The transmission is why this accelerates so fast from 0-60 and excels on track. So it’s still good. The design of the shapes is also very timeless and instantly recognizable. Not need to change those amazing round tail lights. I love it.,
Only problem with the transmission is that it is sequential so it doesn't really skip gears when in automatic mode. It takes a long time for the transmission to downshift into a lower gear because it has to go through every single one of them. Other than that, I love this 6-speed dual clutch, since it's not like most dual clutch transmissions these days. It's more raw and old-school.
@@TonyKimtheamusementparkfan yeah I don’t know how to explain it. But modern transmissions can mimic like from 6th gear ⚙️ to 2 gear ⚙️ where this it has to go 6,5,4,3,2 and then accelerate
@@DiaperSNiFFER to be fair this was one of the first applications of a dual clutch in a sports car. So the fact that it is this old and has stayed in the GT-R for all it’s life is pretty amazing.
@@TonyKimtheamusementparkfanlol although it might have played with technology years ago it’s not the same clutch system 🤣
Just drive it in manual mode… ALL the time 😅
I love everything about this car, I'm not so sure about the pricing but that's not Nissan's fault entirely, but considering the performance and the reliability, I would rather have this car over way too many sports cars out there. Absolutely 1 of my most favorite cars ever
People want a redesign until they redesign it, fuck it up and then everyone’s complaining about how good this one was
come to think of it, the Porsche 911 has always had the same look too...but no one is complaining.
then it will be finally worth the price they're asking as it'll be the "last good gt-r"
Idk Nissan redid the Z and people generally loved it. They didn’t love they used the same decade old platform
This T spec is so nice, and the rear on the Nismo is incredible!
People can talk critically about Nissan all they want for the new Z car using an older platform along with this GTR but they're still building performance-oriented cars that the enthusiasts appreciate and for that you have to hand it to them!! At least they're not rebadged BMWs and they're actually true to Nissan's heritage!!
AMEN!
Shhhh. You're going to piss off the Toyota/Lexus fanbois.
@@latino914 I don't care and to be honest, I used to be one of those people but they've really disappointed me over the last few years. I want to get one of those new Z cars but I'm not paying a ridiculous markup to get one.
😮 That Millennium Jade/Morey Green color combo is amazing!! I wish they offered the green leather on the Z… you know the one I’ll be able to afford. Lol
I love the fact that this car is not following the trend of insane modernization of the interior, just for modernizations sake. This looks like a drivers car, where you find the controls very quickly, without having to go thru menius, submenus and so on. You can concentrate on enjoying driving, That being the reason for spending so much money. If you want a computer, I believe that you already have, at least one at home, or your smart phone, always with you.
Sorry but the gtr is a computer on wheels. That was what it was known as back in 2009. It's just a computer that's almost 2 decades old
@@toyotanerd2269 Show me a car that is not a computer on wheels
GT-R is a masterpiece 🖌️
That infotainment system looks like it's more than a decade old! I do appreciate that Nissan has kept many of the exterior styling elements (especially those iconic circular rear lights), but failing to update the infotainment screen/system is unforgivable.
I checked prices, $138K for the T Spec and $215K for the Nismo. Compare that to a C8!
Yeah it’s quite expensive, but it’s sold now more of a tuners car considering that it could reach 2000hp. The kinda milked this car for too long.
It being "old-school" is it's charm now , I like how people are complaining that they haven't killed it off yet , like the Dead NSX, Viper, R8, etc 🤦 y'all ain't buying them anyway , stick to your leased Elantra
I love how they've paid homage to past models and the original. It's so very identifiable as a gtr but more grown up.
I still love the GT-R, no matter how old this R35 generation is getting. Yes it's 16 years old, but I don't care, still very mechanical, very raw, and still very impressive how it's still able to keep up with a lot of fast sports cars these days.
Hmm, its older than that. This was built off of the front mid-ship platform which was developed in the mid 90s and the R35 prototype concept debuted in 2001. That's 23 years ago....
Of course it's still very mechanical and raw...they haven't changed it in years..
Raw? Since the car came out it was criticized for being numb and like a video game lol
i completely agree with you BUT it really depends on the price for the tspec. if its under 130 ok deal but i think its going to be around 165-170 and that's just pricing themselves out completely.
@@sneakerjoe23crazy how time changes things. Compared to modern cars, they are mechanical and raw now 😢
the rear looks gorgeous. But I love the front of the 2017 Nismo GTR better
Excellent review as ever, I may be Bias, but, I ove love the updates on these 2023 models, definely getting me the Nismo its insanely stunning & agressive my type of sh--- lol thanks for making & sharing Redline.
I noticed all of these new features without a single word
You buy to own this brilliant machine for the value….it is timeless.
Great review as usual! I wish you can test drive the new Nismo.
That R34 GT-R in that iconic midnight purple above the NISMO R35 GT-R is gorgeous~
Special shout out to the camera guy.... Very impressive work.
T-spec kits with Nismo Wing is 🔥🔥🔥
A modern classic.
6:10 “I have a decent amount of head room” as his hair is brushing the roof lol
thank you for keeping analog gauges in the dash!
I like the refresh and the spec that was used for the autoshow
T-Spec is beautiful ❤
Wish they updated the interior also a bit. All they needed to do in the interior was a bigger nav/infotainment that doesn't have chunky bezels and digital cockpit.
beautiful car, also a testament of time that when it first came out how advanced it was
very true.
A living legend and it sells
I love the color on the non Nismo. But its so ridiculous this does not have Android Auto & Apple Car Play in 2024
And I just love it it doesn't have all those Android and Apple crap, this car is meant to driven not fondle with useless tech
its called classic
@@salahmed2110 Dude you’re acting like the tech isn’t in the car already. It would be no different then downloading a app.
Perfect car for ride or die, gotta love it
The styling looks great in my view nismo looks better than t spec because it's more aggressive
"Even though this car is getting old..."it still looks great and works great. Quite the testament to" do it right the first time."
That color is STUNNING!
That 2014 facelift was my favorite
Love how the facelift resembles the R34.
Still have my 2008 Nissan Skyline GT, here we call it an Infiniti G37 S Coupe. 148k miles. Run perfect still. Have the 2012 G37 Convertible as well. Love them.
G37 is garbage what a piece of crap.
GTR Nissmo for me 😊👍
wow i wish to nyc auto show this weekend
My absolute car crush love how they haven’t changed its look drastically or anything of that matter you know what you’re getting when you buy a GT-R and that’s great another thing is if they were to change it drastically people would complain either way so it’s better to leave it as is the VR38 platform is really strong now as well there’s really no point in throwing away all the progress tuners and the aftermarket community have made for the platform so great job Nissan 10/10 redesign.
Pimping that platform 👏
My dream car. I fell in love with Skyline when I saw the second Fast and Furious movie...
Considering other manufacturers recent designs, This is pretty cool and still one of the best in it's class!
100% facts. it looks amazing.
It is a car that you appreciate for what it is.
An Icon and my dream supercar.
I was 9 when they first unveiled this... still very sharp though!
Colour is 👌
I love this cars interior with the green leather
I love that midnight purple GTR34 they have on top of the nismo version
I will have this car soon. lets go
I want one!
Sei tu che invecchi….questa car è e sarà immortale 🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️
We should appreciate their takumis whose consistently working on hand-built 3.8l V6 for more than 15 years!!!
I love it! 👍
Why complain about the "dated" interior, looks perfect, and adds to the look. Perfection on 4 wheels. All the negative feedback is from those who can't afford one, that includes me.
You can still option a cassette player if a cd player is to out there for you.
Still a great looking car, love the new color!
not a big fan of the look compared to the old school skylines
Those exhaust tips.
Still in love with R34 GTR
Man that R34 finished in midnight purple 😢 is just the dream ! 🤌🇯🇵
I remember 2 guy friends each buying an R35 (at the same time) just because they knew loved these cars and would happily go for a drive in any GTR lmao. Ahhh to be a good 16 years old girl what lol🤗
T Spec looks great. But still no manual. Manual Transmission would have made it a must buy.
About damn time
Its perfect
This reminds me I haven't played my PS3 in a while.
Honeslty expected more interiorwise from these cars. Overall beautiful. Better took keep the 35 design than to mess it up with a new one.
Over 15 YEARS OLD car is increased from 60k to 120k, surely matches the current inflation lol!
damn, it's been that long. Sofyan's delivery is still one of my favs and I try to do it on my tiny channel. On the car though, uggh.. I dunno dude, I think people want a new GTR, but I feel like they just want to be like Porsche where it still looks like the original but I dunno....
One of my dream car next to Mercedez BenZ
The style has not changed. I'll wait for the all new from the ground up.
Finally the r35 in the millenium jade colorway the color that was made for this car
step it up nissan a snooozerrrrrr
I saw that when I was there last Friday. Overall I liked the show but several brands were missing so that annoyed me a little bit.
The nismo 🔥
Wish they would make the lights shorter.
Definitely placing my mother in law in the back seats 😂
So which one has better acceleration? And which one is overall faster?
Those rims are giving me R34 vibes and I like it
2:46 "they have functional vents" shows a rear quarter panel with no fricking vent... great job
If they take the green bar part off from the grill imo I think it’ll look better.
And they put the gtr logo in the center of the grill
Talk about this beauty with more respect and appreciation 😡😡😡
Now available in grandma’s wallpaper beige 👍
I heard the r35 was coming to a end and they are working on r36 which is all electric powered?
Timeless "mic drop"
You forgot to talk about the Midnight Purple R34 GTR on the top shelf!
Id still dig the old body platform 2019 above
Cool Mustang
How is the GTR still going on yet the NSX is discontinued?
The Japanese 911 Turbo 🔥
GTR...❤❤❤❤❤
GTR is still looking good.
No bonnet struts?
My favorite sports car. Shame I'll never be able to afford one.
I know a Japanese dancer that owns 3 GTRs. And he's not even 30 years old.
