- FIRST LOOK: The GT-R is back for another year and Nissan has made some major updates for 2024. On the outside of the T-spec you will find a refreshed front fascia, RAYS 20in forged wheels, carbon ceramic rotors and revised rear end. On the inside you will be greeted by a 2-tone interior, carbon fiber and Alcantara headliner. Under the hood is a 3.8L twin-turbo V6 that is mated to a 6-speed DCT. Is the 2024 Nissan GT=R T-spec the BEST new performance to BUY?

No way, these things are going for $185k-$220k, so there goes "super car killer" argument.

The current Nismo is $212,000 and the T-Spec was around $144,000 in 2021. The Premium version is what I want to see because you can't get the Purple T-Spec with a black interior.
Fact: JDM spec Nismo version is sold at almost 300000 Yen. And that's before the dealer markup 😮

Crazy how these are starting to feel raw and analog now. And they once were said to have no soul. These have so much soul if you’ve ever driven one. No fake noises, induction noise, transmission clunks and bumps. It’s a cool experience.

keeping the dash with actual gauges was a good choice! It probably looks amazing when you’re going through the gears.
That is what I really enjoy!
Physical tachs look sooo good. If I'm in a sports car, I at least need that!

Actual gauges also age amazingly, don’t have to worry about them in 20 years breaking or the tech going out of date. There an easy replacement compared to tech

Nissan gtr might’ve been in production for a little too long but they’re still pretty uncommon on the streets which still makes me excited when I do see one and it’s a really special car, it will never lose its titles Godzilla and supercar killer

it looks great....its more in line with the previous generations. I love that they keep refining the car, its a living legend.
What I appreciate the most is that they got rid of the fake vents at the front. This thing in white would look stunning.

The T-Spec looks a lot better than the other R35 versions! Great review by the way, Joe. I wish they would have done a full refresh though with a different body design. I like this one though.

great video as always. this T spec is beautiful, love the Rays wheels on this GT-R. my only problem is the price, in this price range there are some very good and more modern cars. even so it is still a good option

Here's a quick, funny story that took place in Brooklyn!
I was with a friend of mine, and I was in my brand new 2009 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 GT, with a short-arm cold air intake! No one wanted me except that monster, right there, at the time I had no clue what a GTR was!
Let's just say, from that night forward, I respect the GTR til this day!

Outstanding review Joe. Always bringing home the bacon. Only thing I am not too thrilled is the lack of exhaust note. Maybe in person it sounds better? Can’t help but compare it with my GT350R.

I really like the redesign.
Most of the times when a brand does a redesign or facelift of an existing model, it usually ends up looking like a completely different gen or they just ruin the original looks all together with a bunch of flair.
The new GTR not only looks better than the first version of the R35, it still manages to bring more resemblance to the R34 than the previous 2 versions of this model.
This is the one to get for sure!

That body and wheel color combo is beautiful !
This car's development started in year 2000 along with the Lexus LFA as design sketches. The GTR is an absolute beast, engineering marvel, hand built classic. Thank you Carlos Ghosn and Nissan, for completely losing your minds and bringing Godzilla to life. Hard to think of anything as mental as the R35 GTR except maybe Bugatti, but those things cost millions. This car has gained legendary status forever.

@@islami658 Yea you missed the time these cars were semi attainable. In 2018 some got down to 55s for a 2014. Now most are 100k plus and those that aren’t are pieces of shttt you don’t want

I live in the NYC area and the roads are awful. That's why I didn't buy a $125,000 (toy) car............ uh, yeah. That's why. I drive a pickup because ..... potholes, speed bumps, construction sites and the ubiquitous human speed bumps.
I was just in the last gen model. I like this one a lot more actually! Of course I'd be happy with either haha.
