No clue. On my c250 when I did have an oil leak near the turbo, it was a fail oil feed/return line. Replaced it and no more leak. This was a common known issue.
Great intro, can’t wait for this series! Okay so I have this exact car, year, model, engine and I noticed the other day that the reservoir above the turbo you pointed to at the begging of the video has been getting very hot, any ideas?
Thanks for this very technical explanation. You made it so ABC and simple. Can I clean my turbo safely by by spraying turbo cleaner into my turbo system? I have a similar engine as yours and I am wary of inducing any engine codes. Thanks again.
No there isn’t. (To my knowledge) Just make sure your oil to the car is changed regularly and don’t let it breakdown too far. Also, the gasket to the metal oil feed line to the turbo usually fails and starts slowly leaking oil. It’s a pretty straight forward replacement.
I might need to change the wastegate actuator or the valve to address a low boost pressure error code. Is it an absolute must to remove The power steering fluid reservoir? 2013 c250
So where did you get a new turbo manifold from since the stock turbo and manifold are 1 piece? Also are you planning on upgrading to the forged pistons since the stock internals aren’t rated for much boost increase?
I have the same car and my factory intercooler hose coming out of the turbo is always been loose. The clamps are on and you can't pull it off but it's loose. I've never had an issue but recently I'm getting a low boost issue. I haven't found that issue yet but I've always wondered if that hose should be loose like you can shake the hose around while it's connected to the turbo It just seems too loose
The hose should never be loose. Cause when the system is building boost and then pushing that boost to the throttle body, any little space or gap or whatever, that boost pressure will punch through and be a leak.
@@TheFlexxGarage it's been loose since I got it which was 9 years ago and never had an issue at all.. now I do have an under boost issue with a whistling sounds. I sounds like an 18 wheelers and I pulled all the hoses off and all are fine . Any ideas maybe?
When you had the throttle body exposed was there any carbon build-up in there ? I get slightly rough idle sometimes and thinking there may be a little carbon build-up in the throttle body housing outside the perimeter of that movable flap. This happened on my truck which cleaning resolved so wondering if the M271 turbo builds carbon in a similar way ?
Thanks for this @theflexxgarage (subscribed). New 2013 C250 owner, throwing a P0245 code "Turbo Wastegate Solenoid A Low", any idea what may cause this issue and what to replace?
No clue. I only do mods. You can search the forums and see if someone had the same issue. If not, you need to seek a certified mechanic to diagnose your car. There’s plenty of German brand specialist shops so you don’t need to go directly to the dealership.
Hello Flex, how are you? Look, I have a little problem with my mercedes, c 250 2014 I put a relief valve on it and then everything was fine, but my voice control broke inadvertently I put one on it, but now it keeps pulling pressure. nikebs and not the car does not move, what do you think it is?
Not 100% true. A portion of the turbo is attached to the manifold but it’s not all turbo after the manifold. The exhaust manifold exhaust spins a shaft that leads to the turbo and spins the turbo. So you can say the shaft that spins is after the manifold but not really the entire turbo. The airflow starts in the air intake and then into turbo, then it’s becomes charged through the exhaust fumes spinning the shaft that spins the turbo.
Hey flexx love the vids man!!! Im a new Benz owner, got a 2012 C250 sedan, and im coming from a 2009 Jetta Wolfsburg Edition 2.0T....when i would accelerate on my Wolfie, i could hear the turbo clearly, and it was music to my ears! However even with my windows down, i hear no turbo "whistle" from my Benz....is this normal? Or should i be concerned?
I have a 2014 C250 Sedan...That's very normal.. In a few of Flexx's videos, he talks about the turbo muffler that MB installed in our cars. Our cars are designed to be efficient and quiet. Watching you closely just picked up a 2014 white sport coupe and your videos are much appreciated bro
Looking forward to this series flexx, I appreciate the detailed information.
Good layman’s explanation.

Where did you buy the turbo hoses (blue color) showed in the: how the turbo system works in the c250 coupe. Thanks.

No. Cars been sold a year ago

No. It was actually pretty clean
My car did exactly what you said they try to say low pressure but the high pressure is okay that's very confusing
So is this engine good or bad ? Nice video, nice guy . Thanks!
It’s good if it’s not abused and the maintenance has been kept up. And the Camshaft adjuster issue has been corrected.

Hey by any chance have you found any ambient lighting product that you recommend? I have a 2010 c300 & I want ambient lighting like in my w205
how many miles you think the turbo can last on a c250? I'm currently at 125K

C180 here, mine just failed at 176k was quoted 5k for a new one…ffs
what can it mean when i have oil in my turbo muffler?
Google “engine blow•by”. Some oil is fine. A lot of oil is not good.
I take it your mods would work for a 220 CDI coupe too? In the UK. I guess it’s just sourcing the performance parts.

where did you get the air intake duct?
There’s a video somewhere on my UA-cam with details.

Turbocharger is always located directly after the exhaust manifold. That is the rule if the car is stock. There are no exceptions whatsoever.
