Bought it and well done for reaching number 1 in the album charts!!!!!!!
@Lawrence Windrush
That's a comparison that's quite on the mark!
This video makes me wish I was down in Ventnor , wandering around aimlessly , on mushrooms , at sunset , around September , gazing out at sea , and up at stars.
Hey bunch of weirdo's ;-) Thanks for your great music and video's. Missed your gig in Paradiso Amsterdam :-((
Mine just hit on Wednesday. Nice to hear it on my stereo instead of the crappy speakers I have at work. This song in particular is a beast turned up.
I almost got old, then I found Wet Leg and am feeling much better now. Really the best music I've heard in a...while. Time is irrelevant now. I can listen to Wet Leg.
I AM OLD! And this band is fantastic.
I always take it as a bad sign when older people say hoe much they love a new band
ME TOO
@@davyroger3773 better manners prevent me from replying more honestly to your ignorant comment. Either you like a band or you don't ... what's this 'bad sign' bs? So much for my better manners ...
@@sghantous It wasn’t meant to be an insult.
It’s just that when older generations like new bands it shows that the band isn’t trying anything new, that their sounds are familiar and pedestrian - not innovative at all.
If they were to do something really new then I’d expect the older generation (on average) to turn their noses up at it. It’s just an indicator that’s all
A little sixties French, some eighties Icelandic, a splash of nineties Seattle and something that reminds me of drinking scrumpy down the woods on the South Downs in the evening sunshine....Magic.
Best description ever
i get a total 90s indie rock vibe
French? How dare you!!!!!!!!!!!
Snakebite made with Scrumpy, my god, like being on another planet, worst hangover ever 🤪😆
Yes!
Honestly the freshest unique sound I’ve heard in many decades. I’m a 57 year old bloke that’s found a band that makes me feel connected again.
dude how is this fresh? seriously
God these "I am a year old boke..." posts on Wet Leg videos are irksome

Every so often music becomes stale, boring and predictable. And then out of nowhere, a band comes along to remind us how great music can be. Thank you!
Indeed. I was at the point of wishing to chop my ears off due to excessive Ed bleedin' Sheeran ( . . . especially on Radio 2!!) , then thank you RadiO Six music for drawing my attention to this!!👍
@@sirbarnabyst.johntoffingto9017 it was xs Manchester where I first heard these and I must say I’m not disappointed with anything I’ve heard from them, makes a change to the usual rubbish in the charts these days
Totally relatable
The world.. is their oyster.
Just some amazing shit here.
Aurora, Biig Piig, Glass Animals, Mareux and Sahara Beck may interest you.
"Angelica" is a masterpiece. Haunting, melancholy, emotional, exciting, erupting into an unforgettable electric sub-guitar explosion. Sure to be one of the year's biggest hits.
blah blah blah
I agree, Angelica is a masterpiece.
Agreed!
Literally wet leg has satisfied my need for new music in my life. They can't do anything wrong! I get so damn happy every time I see something new!
They make me want to jump and down in my chaise lounge.
Yr reaction fits mine so congruently. As someone who rode the wave of the eclectic, reinvigorated pop music of the "90s" (as if you can measure musical eras in 10 year increments) I felt like the last big year for pop music was 2008 and then it becomes the question am I just getting too old to appreciate new stuff... but BOOM Wet Leg appears and I'm just floored by the raw talent. 2 nice unassuming ladies just come along and remind of the sweet power that rock music can provide. Almost too good to be true. 😉
Wet Leg and Dry Cleaning are the best 2 bands I have found during the last 2 years.
@@Liam-en8me i now have to check out Dry Cleaning :)

I'm 82 years old and I've been waiting for this music for a LONG TIME!!!
Love this band. I'm an old school punk rocker and this is the best thing I've heard in a decade. You all seem to have a wondrous joy and humbleness towards this whole experience. Don't ever lose that. You will become big. Don't let the industry take this away from you. True talent. I look forward to seeing you all do great things.
Perfectly articulated dude! Hope this finds you well and swell.
@@jkdw admittedly I kinda tuned out around 2002. Hard to get my attention no days. This band did.
Punk rock? Check out Amyl and the Sniffers from Melbourne, Aus.
@@davidchavez9212 my case as well. Everyone always tells me 'it's out there, you just gotta look', and maybe I should- but I never had to 'hunt down' good music when I was younger and I'm not about to start now.
Haha I feel the same man. 25 years of punk and for some reason I really like this, I can't quite figure it out, there's a lot of similar poppy stuff out there but Wet Leg caught my attention. They have a special something.
This band is going to soundtrack so many mid-life crises.
I think it's just keeping real music alive.
bring em on!
I just found this band. I think I start mid-life-crising now.
Yup! This mid lifer went to a music festival solo to see them 😆
In a good way....?
That line, "Good times, all the time" is like a lyrical hug.
Absolutely
Yep indeed
I really haven't felt this kind of magic since the early '90s. Thank you, Wet Leg, for conjuring it up once again.
I'm guessing your an Elastica fan.
Killer new song! killer new band! loved the wall of sound feel....play it LOUD!! (67 year old here. LOL!)
This band doesn't only make you love music, it makes you realize there's still real music in existence! 🎶
Henry Holmes's drumming is absolutely integral is to this album not just being noticed but skyrocketing. Wow, he knows where to fit in and where to floor it. The snare double here is just right.
I am a very very very old Motorhead stone cold heavy metal nutter and I find these young ladies very refreshing . Well done .
That part where her voice is enveloped with the guitars. Spine tingling. Gorgeous dynamics on this.
They rocked the Pabst theater in Milwaukee last night. Impressive performance and impressive and enthusiastic crowd
I love hester’s dance moves
What a great band... These girls are channeling Joy Division, Romeo Void, the Velvet Underground, and some Missing Persons and making it their own sound and unique vibe... I can't get enough of Wet Leg. Keep it up, girls, and stay golden!!
Agreed. Waiting for them to cover "Never Say Never"
A little Arctic Monkeys too
@@matthewperkinscoppola9906
Except that "Never Say Never" is angry. Wet Leg are not angry. Their reaction to underwhelming guys hitting on them is resigned, deadpan amusement and annoyance, not anger.
Joy Division...? A step too far.
@@stephie.m Dude, it's like how the Monkees were influenced by the Beatles.. Wet Leg certainly doesn't have the manic darkness of Joy Division, but they do borrow -intentionally or otherwise- JD's moody musical minimalism.
Immediate connection with this music. Don't know what it is; it's just brilliant.
I’m 54 and I love Wet Leg 😊 reminds me of the music of my teens in the 80’s ❤
90’s , indi-rock with bands like The Breeders, Smashing Pumpkins. I am 53. This reminders me to my 20’s UA-cam, collegetime.
@Frans Traas at that age you'd better get used to wet legs
Yes, rock come back!
im 60 and just found them, cant stop playing :)
53 here and adore them, theyre having so much fun.
I don't know why, but I'm literally crying tears of joy listening to Wet Leg.
Thank you for existing!
Same here. ..This song especially...dont know why..
Gives me goosebumps so i totally get it
I'm just obsessed with Wet Leg - saw them live the first time I heard them (as a warm up act) and they were just electric!
I feel the same. I'm 50 and had givin up on youthful music with creativity.
Top tune. Can’t wait for the album.

Watching Hester be interviewed and watching Hester dance feels like two separate human beings that are nothing alike at all.
This is my favorite song of theirs so far! It has such a cool sound, it's like a feel-good mix of shoegaze and surf rock!
I agree they're all brilliant but this track is my favourite
That’s a good call, bury the vocals a little further back in the mix and it’s totally a ringer for shoegaze (which already sorta has surf rock sounds)
I've been having a bit of a Wet Leg sesh tonight and have the double-A of Too Late Now/Oh No left to play but reckon I've just heard my favourite.
Ur mum is cool too
Love their attitude and the way they face the world - whatever "indie" means - in this band you see true independent spirit and willingness to go against convention
I'm just a 50 year old gen xer so take my opinion as you will, but it is rare to find an entire album where every song is excellent. Best new band alive. Thanks for the experience of your music.
Glad I stuck around for 53 years. Fuck i was getting bored and then Wet Leg just frigging jumps out of the radio! Well done ladies.

Just in time for spring! Time to blast some Wet Leg while driving with the windows down and the breeze blowing.
Headed for a chaise longue?
If you see someone licking the windscreen don't blush and tell them it's enough
This!
It's already summer in Florida 👌
Wet Leg has released just 5 songs and already they are becoming my favorite band
Two great discoveries in the past 6 months: Slint and Wet Leg. Thought I had already discovered all the music that was worth something.
Slint is a blast from the past reminds me of my teens in the 90's
there's something from the 90s in it - the sincere straightforwardedness, also the guitar in the mid sounds so grungy. oh man. can't wrap my head around how it's neat any angle you look at it. also how it's not being low vibe while quite "alternative". great job girls and the band! maintain the vision!
I agree. The droney guitar sound is amazing.
Yeah I got everything from shoegaze through to the cardigans from this.
Like Stereolab on steroids. Love it!!!
So enjoyable, I hope this wave you're riding never stops for you.
@Jared George - The Great Order Music Incredible, isn't it?!?!
Thanks for letting us in on the dance party ❤️ oof that was needed!

It probably will.
This is their best track yet for me, fantastic stuff.
Just found them with Wet Dream last week, this is my next favorite... so far.
I'm yet another GenXer commenting on how much this band transports me. Absolute exquisite excellence. We thank you.
The song is absolutely smashing, got this etheral entrancing nostalgic feel with a hint of rebellion. It's almost unnerving but very calming at the same time. I found this on spotify and I just did not imagine the video to it was as it is. It is absolutely banging. The filmography is so on point. I love the song and the video separately, but also together. Great work in my opinion!
Just too good. Like the best music of the last 7 decades distilled into one band. So looking forward to seeing them live.
It is so awesome to hear new, fresh, creative tunes! Keep it up please! Full-length album, please!!!
Hadn't heard of them until UA-cam added 3 of their songs to a mix. I'm loving them so far.

Nice video of St Catherine's Lighthouse, no idea what those two young ladies were up to.
Another great song by Hester and Rhian. Thanks.
I’ve never clicked something so quickly
Aye, can never get enough of this song, I pretty much dance to it every day like B-52's Rock Lobster 🦞 ...🤘😎

LYRICS:
Angelica was on her way to the party
She doesn't need to wait for anybody (What-ah)
Knows exactly what's she's doing
I watch as she commands the room (Commands the room)
The ambience was overrated at the party
Want to run away before it's even started
I look at my feet, then I look for the door (The door)
Can't find my friends, so I just take a bit more
A bit more, a bit more
A bit more, a bit more
A bit more, a bit more
A bit more, a bit more
A bit more
And then it all comes to an end
We all go again, go again
Good times, all the time
Good times, all the time
Angelica, she brought lasagne to the party
I tried my luck at dancing with everybody
Sometimes life gets hard to deal
I like you, you've got sex appeal
I don't wanna follow you on the gram
I don't wanna listen to your band
I don't know why I haven't left yet
Don't want none of this
Good times, all the time
Good times, all the time
Good times, all the time
Good times, all the time
Angelica, she brought her ray-gun to the party
Angelica obliterated everybody
I look at my hands, then I look for the door
Can't help but feel like I've been here before
I don't know what I'm even doing here
I was told that there would be free beer
I don't wanna follow you on the gram
I don’t wanna listen to your band
And then it all comes to an end
We all go again, go again
Good times, all the time
Good times, all the time
Good times, all the time
Good times, all the time
Good times, all the time
Good times, all the time
