Description from BGG:
Street Fighter: The Miniatures Game is a pre-painted miniatures game that uses the Universal Tactics System! This system allows 2 to 6 players to simulate fights across the iconic roster of Street Fighter by controlling their favorite characters, rolling dice and playing cards from fighter specific 40-card battle decks!

Man, this board game is violent!

Game looks SO pretty! Great unboxing, thank you!!
You're welcome glad you enjoyed it :)
Thanks for the informative unboxing. Only channel to go through all the cards and figures with a decent set up
Why thank you. Happy you liked it!
Great unboxing!
Thank you :)
Liya International is the manufacturer for the minis. I think they said they were able to design a whole new process to create these pre-painted minis at this quality for a decent price. This Street Fighter Kickstarter literally may have laid out the foundations for future games and pre-painted minis.
I agree, and hope you’re right.
Juri was one of the first character I played when I started playing Ultra Street Fighter IV. She's so hard to master tho since you need to hold up kick buttons to hold her projectiles and release them at opportunist time to make her great. This board game looks awesome. I'm sad that I missed it. Would have love to see Oni tho which is another character I had a lot of fun with.
One would have made a badass mini! And yeah Juri is hard, but she looks so cool.
OMG it’s amazing
Looks so good
Udon does the art. The comics are amazing.
I wish I got to back this.
Udon! That’s right! Thank you
Jasco has some pre-orders available on their website
i dont know why, but the music you use caught my ear very well. Anyone have the tracks he plays when showing the ryu and ken figures?
I pulled the music from the Motion Array website. I can;t remember which it is, but I would start by searching video games, or arcade... that kind of thing. Maybe 80's?
I love the Street Fighter games. Really wish I'd backed this but I just could not afford it at the time :(
It was a stretch for me at the time as well. I remember discussing the purchases many times over with Brittany before we backed it
Jasco is taking pre orders on their website
@@Bo-Gam $325 + shipping ($64 for me) to get Base + Bosses + Stretch goals. Not sure what shipping was for KS backers, but the pledge for those items was $140. That's some steep markup. The KS may have taken forever to ship, but the backers all got a hell of a deal.
Game looks fun and the minis look fantastic...but $400 is hard to justify for that amount of content.
I could see why the markup though. This game couldn’t have been cheap to make. But is it worth it? I guess that all depends on the individual 🤔 I wonder how many people will buy this off the self
That trophy is based on the actual trophy they award in the SF tournaments there was supposed to be a sticker or engraving on it but its decided to be left blank so we can do our own placard
Thank you for the info :)
What was the other game mentionned after Tiny Epic Mechs at 1:52:00?
I said JKR but what I meant to say was GKR Heavy Hitters. GKR = Giant Killer Robots
1:11:00 best miniature !
I don’t even know who this character is but awesome pose with the echoed spinning kick!
I know I love that one!
His name is Guy. He's from Final Fight then the street fighter alpha series an he is in ultra street fighter 4....was just playing as him on my ps4 weirdly 😆
Right! I keep forgetting his name
45:52 that Is Cammy yup she used to be a member of one of M. Bison’s guards. This was a great unboxing to watch. Juri in Street Fighter 4 is pronounced with a J. At 1:14:10 her full name is Rainbow Mika she is a friend with Zangief also. Angry Joe did a fantastic job with this game!
Ah thank you. Nice to know
@@BoardGameCoffee By the way if you read the back of the cards with their health and Ultra it has lore on their backstory.
Oh nice. I’ll read that for sure when I play. I like the character stories in street fighter. I should have had you in the show as co-host :)
@@BoardGameCoffee your hilarious!
Glad that yours arrived in good shape. Mine got mangled in shipping. :(
Jasco is sorting it out, but it made for a super un-fun unboxing for me. Glad I can watch yours.
I’ve seen some horror pictures of mangled Kickstarters. So far I have not had that problem. My mythic battles game got here with a whole speared through the box but nothing was damaged inside.
@@BoardGameCoffee I hope that your streak continues!
I've only have a couple of problems, but always a bummer.
@@orangejosiah I’ll send some of my luck your way
@@BoardGameCoffee perfect! Much appreciated.
The game is really solid. I'm excited for you to get the chance to play it!
The car has a problem, flip the tile and you have to swap it with the piece on the other side so the pictures match up?
Apparently the stickers I found at the start are to fix a miss print. I still have to look into it myself :)
I got mine. The miniatures are awesome! The game is a lot of fun to play too.
I won’t be able to play it for a little while. Can’t wait
@@BoardGameCoffee Also that sticker for the car was to fix an error with the car level. When I got it I wasn't sure either.
Oh... I gotta make sure that doesn’t get thrown out. Thank you for that
Set up the "normal" car. Then flip the individual tiles over. The center are correct on the flipped side, but the right and left are on the wrong sides. You can fix that with the stickers.
Ah got it. I was wondering what that was for
The only problem is you have to come up with your own storage solutions. The assembled terrain does not just go back into the box.
I guess that's why the brown boxes
Yeah not a fan of That part. I like keeping things pristine! And the thought of tossing out inserts goes against my very nature.
My copy arrived today and was very happy, but the first mini a pulled out broke on me, violent Ken's foot broke so I need to try gluing it together maybe.
Also the flame that Dhalsim is blowing is loose and about to fall off on mine.
Not sure if I can repair it well but I'll try, don't know how I'd go about getting a replacement for it.
That’s terrible! The insert for that game holds on too tight, I’m surprised I didn’t break any pulling them out myself. I’ve read of some troubles regarding replacements, but you should try contacting Jasco
@@BoardGameCoffee I remember seeing Angry Joe talk about making the insterts as tight as possible to grip onto the minis, and right then I knew I wouldn't be a fan of it, only to break the first mini I tried placing back into the insert.
Other than that everything else looks fantastic and I'm happy with it, glad it's finally arrived after all these years.
Will have a go at contacting Jasco to see what they say, but theres always gorilla glue to try fixing it hah
I have never successfully fixed a mini LOL. It’s like the glue doesn’t work in my presence. Haha
@@BoardGameCoffee oh dear that doesn't bode well for me hah, I'll give it a try and then just cry if it ends up a gooey mess
Regarding the trackers. They didn't catch an error. The EX meter (bottom one) should start at 0 and go to 8 for normal decks, and 0 to 12 for bosses.
They all go 1 to 12.
There are replacement stickers you can print on the Jasco site. This also helps tighten up the dials.
Many issues with the game, Jasco not replacing or senting replacement stickers is one of many reasons Jasco lost many of its future backers.
Surprised something like that slipped through. Thanks
@@BoardGameCoffee Each KS make mistakes, some small, others big, some mistakes are backers trusting those that just take the money and run, sadly it seems the reaction from backers are the same to all three levels of mistakes. The bad side of the internet and social media, everything is a 1 or a 10... I do think Jasco will get a lot of flak, some understandable some over blown, but I hope that those willing to pay for the mistakes (literally) will still enjoy the great minis.
Jasco just needs to be more empathetic and learn from the mistakes, and try to show signs that they are willing to learn from them. Sadly they are not helping matters by blaming backers themselves, blaming EU, and Covid... still time forgets all things, and awesome minis helps heal wounds as much as chocolates and flowers.
Just so you know @Angryjoe and Alex plan to do a mortal kombat one next then I think dragon ball z
Someone else is saying the same thing. Put me down for one Mortal Kombat please :) with some cross play so I can finally face subzero against Ryu
Great unboxing. Make sure you check out the fan made app for the health dials
Oh, I am definitely doing that. Is it available on everything?
@@BoardGameCoffee I made it for android, desktop, and a browser version for ios
Noted ;)
Thanks for the app!
@@CompilerTube thanks for using it
Please do some more content with this game, initial impressions, a play or review and etc.
Once I have time I deffinetly want to.
I love the Street Fighter film (so bad, it's good).
Raul Julia chose to do the role knowing he was really sick, but his kids were big Street Fighter fans, so was excited to do the film.
Awww that’s sweet
The Best Blaka in Brazil !
Blanka is a great character, so it’s nice to see him getting a nice mini
Mine finally came in
Mine had brown paper instead of the foam peanuts
Congratulations! The way my life is going it’ll be about three years before I get to play it. Lol
The minature that you mention as possibly Bisons daughter is actually Bison Cammy. It's was an extra minuture that you can use as a stand-in for M.Bison or Cammy.
Thanks for the upload. Probably the best video I've seen for showing off the minatures. Great work!
After watching the video back I realized it was Cammy in a Bison outfit I just didn’t realize why she was in a bison outfit LOL. Glad you like the video. :)
Only took 3 years and $500 to get it here! Yay
Lol I know right?!
I'm in if you get around to doing a gameplay video. Just do something other than Ken vs Ryu... Even Chun Li vs E. Honda would be better.
As soon as I can free up some time to film one, I decently want to do that.
Looks great, but I think the storage could be better.
Yeah, I’m concerned about putting away those cardboard things I have to build. Looks like I have to disassemble them every time I want to put them back in the box.
@@BoardGameCoffee just about everybody in the discord for this game has taken out the plastic organizers and just filled the boxes in different ways. I currently have the core box holding all the core box/character pack miniatures with a foam top holding everyone down so they don't move around. And I have all the cardboard terrain prebuilt/glued with the maps in the villain box
Ah I see. I hate getting rid of inserts though. But that does seem like the way to go. Such a bummer they didn’t account for the room to place the assembled cut outs.
Not to mention there's gonna be a Mortal Kombat & Dragonball Z one in the wings, I think the former is next
I’m all in for Mortal Kombat, but I never got into dragonball Z. Chris from the show is a huge dragonball Z fan. I’ve just never even seen a Single episode.
sorry but dbz is not happening anymore they told us.
@@qwertyman459 even when they showed us the preview shots of the kame house board and miniatures with goku, krillin, vegeta & raditz... dammit
@@leocitywrestling7029 i saw it too but the game has been made by a different company so were not getting it. i want it so bad too.
I’ll break the news to Chris :( That is a bummer. I would have gotten into that just to play with him.
Did you know that Chun-Li is "the first playable female fighter of any fighting game franchise to gain mainstream recognition"? I found that to be pretty cool!
Makes sense. And a we’ll deserved honour for lady of the Street... fighter that is :)
Cool Minis quality for a board game. But as a Minis Collector im a bit disappointed with the outcome and will sell the Game....if it ever arrives lol
So you don’t like the minis?
@@BoardGameCoffeeNot really . From all what i saw so far i am not happy with most of the shading and overal finish. Blanka in my opinion looks terrible. But i will take a look when the game finaly arrives and decide what to do. Maybe do some finish myself :D
@@michaelw6015 I’m sure you’ll be able to get a good price for it
@@michaelw6015 Then you’ll never be happy with any mini’s.
I’m loving my game. It can’t be stated enough that Joe Vargas and Alex from the AngryJoe Show made this game happen. Capcom may have approved everything but this is their passion project and it would not have come out this great without them
And they didn’t awesome job bringing this thing to life.
anyone got a Ryu Amibo to compare?
Is there a Ryu amibo?
@@BoardGameCoffee correction: there’s also one for Ken as well
They were both in the Smash Bros series
ua-cam.com/video/PjoRPpgZ5Lc/v-deo.html
@@leocitywrestling7029 ooooo now I want them both
@@BoardGameCoffee given the craze has kinda died down its ideally affordable
@@BoardGameCoffee and if you do, do a comparison
That packaging terrifies me, no way I receive that undamaged...
I will say a little prayer for your package 📦
The minis look amazing, and the art looks so cool. But all the gameplay footage they showed during the campaign didnt look fun to me. I just dont think 1v1 card battling miniatures games is what i want to play. A regular card game, or a Deck builder, or something like Marvel champions would fit Street Fighter better. The same team who did this is also worrying on preproduction of a Mortal Kombat game. probably the same engine
I think you can also play three versus three if you want to since the game plays 2 to 6 players. Although that doesn’t really change any of the points you made LOL. I actually don’t know anything about the gameplay for this game. I looked into it back on the Kickstarter was fresh but I have no recollection of what it was.
@@BoardGameCoffee I think it's a series of 1v1, 2v2, 3v3. And I think one of the expansions was a Boss mode that was either cooperative or 3v1. I dont remember. I'm actually more into Street Fighter currently now than when the kickstarter was on, so like most miniature games, i would probably just get it for the figures.
Yeah, a number of different modes. 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, Boss 1v3, and Free for all (which has a shield counter to help prevent from ganging up on one person).
The game itself is really solid. The decks play differently from each other, and they did a great job of making the decks play like their game counterparts.
And I was hoping that the decks would really feel like the characters to pick it up. So it’s good to hear that they’ve done well. I won’t be playing this game for at least 2 to 3 weeks, so until then I only know what you guys tell me :)
@@BoardGameCoffee Can't wait for the the Video!!!
Looks good, shame Jasco really destroyed EU/UK and many others backers faith in them. As good as these may look, it is just a shame Jasco is running it.
Didn’t realize there were such hard feelings towards Jasco.
@@BoardGameCoffee You should see the Kickstarter page the last month or so.
I might just do that. I like to read before bed so it’s always good to have some new material
@@BoardGameCoffee To be fair. Every kickstarter I've ever been on descends into a shit show around release as people come back and find excuses to ask for refunds. Yes, shipping and taxes are a shock but its not really Jascos fault. Just a lot of bad things (for the consumer) all coming at the same time. I cant wait to get mine!
No they did not make much money lol but they killed then selfs over All the small details
You can't deny these look awesome. Still havn't played ;\
normal toddlers i could kill 30.000. zombies toddlers just no. everything becames ten times harder when you add zombies. what we talking are they fast zombies are they walking dead zombies. there are alot of different types of zombie. a toddler is a small child, they have no power and are easier to dispact. and im skipping the akuma deck hes my fav and i wont see the deck till its here in my home.
Very interesting... Those are some high numbers on the toddler apocalypse
Models look very meh imo
Really? Find a very surprising. I have opened a lot of boxes and although I’ve seen minis with more detail “Rising Sun, Hate” For example. I have yet to see any pre-painted Minis come out that look this good. Heavy hitters looks really good but those also look a lot easier to make as coloured Minis.
If I had to bet, it is because FearOgre is a painter? As a painter myself I saw many things I thought to myself, such as wanting to remove the wash and applying new, or touching up some mistakes, removing mild lines, and shaving Vegas mask and repaintin it again... I may have even liked to paint some myself, and gotten these as grey minis. But I can not see how anyone would not like these minis, myself. But even if not a painter, it could be down to Mark's amazing camera, and how it picks up all the small mistakes, and errors, but the naked eye will make these blemishes less noticeable.
I have no doubt that a skilled painter could make these look even better. That would be a great comparison video actually :)
