Mine arrived yesterday. All miniatures look amazing. Definitely want the Mortal Kombat version for sure, as im more of a fan of that franchise.
I was an All-In Backer, though I really only know Street Fighter II...my first fighter game as well. Yeah, it was a long wait and there are a few minor typo deals (like needing stickers for the Bonus Car Round), but nothing that takes away from the game for me. I do wish they'd do Samurai Showdown. I played that more than Mortal Kombat. Sadly, with extended tax season, I haven't had the chance to break out my Street Fighter game to play, just a cursory look through to make sure I got everything (I did). Can't wait to give it a try this summer. Might need to see if I can get a tournament season started. =)
The minis look damn good for pre-painted.
I'd say I'm not convinced on the system yet but as soon as you say there's a Mortal Kombat one on its way I seem to have convinced myself I will love it regardless XD
They way to look at it is: You buy it for the minis, you get a board game to play with then as a bonus.

I like the way attacks and combos work. I'll be interested in seeing the Mortal Kombat game.
Maybe worth looking into, unmatched is making cubes to store the unmatched characters, tokens, decks and everything else unmatched needs. They're modular do you can remove some dividers. Maybe that'll work well for storing these decks and characters as you describe

Great overview, I agree with a lot of your statements. I really love this game. I made one of the apps to replace the health dials.
I dont think this game is going to retail. If they do, definately need the kickstarter stretch goals to be in another finished box.

Can anyone tell me what type of card sleeve he is using, please? I would like to get them.
I have a question:
if a defender successfully counters, can he/she follow-up to do a combo even though its not their turn??
Anybody knows what is the weight of the game? I saw it in Ebay but i dont know how much it weights
Guile was always my favorite but the hardest to play as.
Keep practicing with him. He is my favourite. He is a defensive counter play character. I love predicting attacks and getting some massive damage. He has some good sonic boom combos, if you can position well for some corner pressure
I find it kinda funny they put hurricane kick instead of Tatsumaki Senpukyaku lol
I don't think we'll see it in retail based off how they would prob have to charge alone for the core box, I think the only other thing i would get is if they made a dark stalkers character pack.
Do someone know the correct sleeve sizes for those? a good brand/ quality
I used ultra pro sleeves and they usually work just great
How did you feel about the multiple layers of RNG / Randomness to this? I heard you mention enjoying the rock/paper/scissors, but missed it if you commented on all the rng.
None of this will be released at retail so your concerns on the roster are solved :) It will ONLY be available through Jasco directly, and they are selling stretch goal boxes for for people who cannot miss those character, they are there. I appreciate how hilarious it is that your experience with the game is nearly the exact opposite of Tom Vasel's. This game has vaulted into my top 10 because of most of the pros you stated, and of course, it's approachability.

POWER RANGERS!!!!! I WANT ME SOME POOOWWWWWEEERRRR RRRAAANNNGGEEERRRSSS!!!!! Mostly because Legacy Wars had Street Fighter characters. Now I want Power Rangers in this system.
if they did any fighting game, I'd want to see Darkstalkers. Loved the characters in that, and it's make a good fighting game.

Cool minis, not so cool gameplay. I'm a fan of SF, but still wouldn't pay that much for it, and with shipping and taxes it becomes a no-no.

At one point wasn't there also a Dragonball version in the works? Wouldn't have minded seeing more.
I was 'All In', 2 years late and overpriced due to the final tax and postage bill. Jasco need a miracle if they want anymore of my money.
