    This would be a great way to make a soldering iron if the glow plug had been mounted further up inside the casing and then use an actual solder tip which would generate its heat from the glow plug. Solder will never have a chance to stick to this with it glowing red hot. I actually had a hart 24v soldering station that I bought new and the very first time I tried to use it the thing never stopped heating up and turned cherry red and of course ruined the tip but the iron itself was faulty anyway, the temperature control sensor in it went bad and that just made the iron constantly heat up instead of just heating up to a proper temperature for soldering.

Here's an idea for you, get solid state graphite crystal power cell's and make a bank. Use the necessary electronic componat's to up the electrical current to heat up that glow plug. Then get a copper radiator and make Gallium Aluminum Scandium alloy and fill the copper radiator woth the alloy. Then place a high output Nintinol thermal electrical generator and a electrical fan to draw air through the copper radiator. Add in wireless charging technology to charge other electrical device's. A self sustaining space heater that can charge up your electronic device's. 😊

  • @tjziegler8823

    Its a cool idea, but for one it requires a soldering gun to make, also unless you have glow plugs just laying around you’d have to hit the parts store, and at that point just buy a soldering gun. Its not really practical. Except there is one thing that would make me try this and thats the fact that almost every soldering gun i have used before absolutely sucks balls and only gets hot enough half the time and you have to keep taking the tips out and cleaning where they hook up and tighten the hell out of them for it to work properly for like 20 minutes tops, so it would be cool to see how this compares to an actual soldering gun in performance, and also durability.

  • @awesomefacepalm
    @awesomefacepalm 5 років тому +1

    The button and the leads are way too undersized for the ammounts of current in a glow plug. Its also a terrible iron since there is little to no way getting it too hot. Why do you need a 1000°c iron?
