It's creative but looks very sketchy. If you want a good small welding torch, buy a Smith's Little torch and get oxygen acetelene tanks and you can have a torch that produces a 6,000 degree flame and allow you to weld safely and efficiently.

Creative and handy, but there are ready made long nosed flame gadgets available without hustle and risk of bursting fire. In fact, there are so many propane attachments and bits available online that could make a fantastic yet safe project like a breeze. All in all, great job for something to demonstrate as doable.

I tried it making when I was 15 but I was making burner also but failed due to making smaller holes to pass the gas hole was 0.70mm so gas coming out was not so brilliant, today when I saw it it reminded me of my memories....
Great job but still needs more improvement....

Seems like a neat fun project. Don't know if you have limited access to tools or what but here in the states they make small butane torches for as low as 5 bucks.
As others said PLEASE be careful... a tip over COULD go very bad.. not saying it will... just saying.
    Neat little project though!

This gentleman MUST be Russian. If not, I apologise. Although it is very interesting, I have concerns over its safety. Commercial torches have flashback arrestors, which do not allow the flame to travel down the tube and into the gas bottle. I did not see such a device on this. If I have missed seeing such a device on this tool, then I must apologise once again. If it is safe then it will be most useful to jewellers so that they can "weld" jump rings, such that closed link chains can be made. Please carry on making these "unusual" items, stay safe so that we can enjoy your work for many years. 👍

Flashback arresters are normally only used where there is an oxygen supply, as there is no oxygen supply that’s why he did not fit one. But considering a jewellers butane torch can be bought for about $40 I would buy one of those and know I was safe.

  • @shuffleB

I feel like a hose clamp instead of glue, would make this contraption easier to attach to the next can of gas. Just spit ballin, not complaining. It's still cool either way.

  • @MrBackTrack

Be careful I work in the metal industry and often use cutting torches risk of flashback is very high.

I don't know nothing. Having said that, is there a way to prevent that?
I came here in a serie of "DIY hidrogen gas from water" videos and wich they said that to prevent the flashback a guy put ciggarette filters in the pipe, another guy put glass fiber; and another guy put (i think) like... ...(don't know how to say it, i'm from Argentina)... the metal shaving for wash the dishes.
Also in all those diy hydrogen they use a second mini vessel with water and air between the hydrogen production and the blowtorch. Could it be implemented in this kind of proyect?
      Are these workarounds effective?
