no one knows this but after a months i have watched this while looking at my black spiderman wallpaper i wanted to render him i got a model and i remembered this and it created that purple layer like effect thanks a lot ducky!!
I played around with this, adding a connection to the emission colour of the BSDF Shader as well as well for an interesting effect. This is a nice foundation for a few interesting effects.

This is great, i messed around with the colorramp and got the dark and emissive parts to switch, so the eye i was trying to make has a glowing pupil that follows the camera.

ik im late but something else you can do is instead of using a principled bsdf you can use a transparent bsdf and it looks cooler
