If you can’t find the “Emission Strenght” option in the Principled BSDF:
    1) Add an “Emission” shader.
    2) Plug it into the “ColorRamp” you’ve already plugged into the “Emission” value in the Principled BSDF.
    3) Add a “Shader to RGB” node.
    4) Plug the “Emission” shader you’ve added on step one into the “Shader to RGB” node.
    5) Plug the “Shader to RGB” node into the “Emission” value in the Principled BSDF.
    6) Change the strenght in the “Emission” node you’ve placed between the “ColorRamp” and the “Shader to RGB” nodes.

When I apply the scale on the cylinder the texture is still stretched. Also when I play with the emission on the back lighting it doesn't change the lighting at all. (I'm in viewport shading)

How did you get those dark contrasty shadows from the "square pattern"? I suppose it has do do with ambient occlusion (or reflection?), since the circle that you use as an emitter isn't a "real" light?
I only get "sharp shadows" close to tha camera (though very grainy), but further away they basically disappear and the squares just become a barely visible skinny skeleton.
