Every time I see something like this I come back to the realization that Honda BLEW it when they didn't keep with some derivation of the S2000. What a glorious ride you had.
They could have incorporated it as a different body style of the civic type r, how like the normal civics have two different body styles.
I drove/ moved two s2000s for work and ever since I’ve been desperate to get that vtec feel again.
And my NA just spun a bearing after doing a clutch, stupid little bastard couldn’t have done it before all the work 🙄.
So I’m thinking I’ll make my own budget s2k since turbos aren’t for me.
What brand and model is the roll bar? Thanks

Wow! What a car!! I bet that thing MOVES!! The K20 and K24 are literally the best n/a 4-cylinders of all time. You can throw the B16 in there as well, and the F20/F22. And the K20C1 is the best d/i turbo 4-cylinder of all time. In short, Honda produces the best engines in the world.
This is a sweet, sweet build. I remember the manual rack on my '94R as one of the best racks Ive ever experienced, really comes alive at high speeds and is super progressive. A blast to drive hard and fits perfectly with this build.

Same here. Nice linear power delivery without lag is just nice. Everything is turbo these days and its anoying.
Absolutely. Turbos really don’t have any place in many sports cars

Holy shit this is AMAZING! You are so right about the VTEC kicking in. I’ve never heard it so pronounced before as it is in this car. Dunno if its your Mics, the open top, lack of sound deadening or some combination. Love how you are actually challenged to keep grip with this car. Some cars are so fast with such massive grippy tires that you lose the fun of fighting a car at speeds under 100 MPH.
What more do you need? This seems like perfection. I am a Honda fan until the end but I would have to take this over AP1/AP2 all day.

ND2 Miata with BBR super 220 kit is the way to go. 221 hp 175 lb tq and redline of 8k. It’s NA so fully linear power.

Wow just looked it up. I didn't know they were doing anything to nd2 yet. Very cool. I installed the nc super 225 package which requires itb's to get that power level. This seems like a 10x better solution. Other than the noise.
