- Today we have another juicy controversial one, and this one is aimed mostly at teachers and promoters in the dance world, but also for anyone who is interested in the behind the scenes of your dance scene. If you are just a dancer, you probably attend events, enjoy the dancing and think nothing else of it - but there can be lots going on behind the scenes that is tough to deal with as a teacher, organiser or promoter.
In this video, I've talked about a few scenarios that I've come across in my own time teaching, and given some advice on how to deal with them.

From a student point of view, I've almost always been a creonte in my hobbies (dance/train with several places at once). The advice of going to any event/class that interests you even if a teacher isn't saying good things about it is really important.
Some of the most fun I've had training has been in places where I was told I shouldn't go. You'll meet new people, learn new approaches. Worst case scenario, you learn to appreciate "home" much more.
Absolutely 💯
Thank you❤❤❤❤
💗💗💗
Calgary seems having good dance scene, organizers promote each other events and local instructors. If there are promoter wars happening, it is not obvious from dancers perspective 😊
I'm glad you have that experience 😌
Always great to hear your insights 👍
Thank you 😊
Hi rasa . Nice to see you ! As always …😊
Thank you 😊
Congrats on starting your own event and making it a success! I think all your advice is sound. Everybody can go anywhere he likes. If a new person starts a new event and is better than the rest, why not go? If he was your ex student or colleague, it may hurt, but at the end this is the cycle of life. The new replaces the old. Sometimes you are a victim of your success. I used to go somewhere where all the good dancers went, but it was so crowded and you couldnt dance without other people stepping on you and vice versa.
Absolutely, circle of life it is 😉
Good Intel for me ❤😅

Free market, free entry and free exit into the market. You were free to exit Leeds market and enter London market. It is the best for everybody. We, customers, sometime we make the effort to promote and support the events we like. Obviously there is much more than just event/price. In your case, Rasa, you are your own brand and the values of your brand have to match the values of your customers.
We appreciate the event organisers and do not like when they are upset or fighting.
Very professional observation 😅
Here in Aalborg, Denmark we have two bachata sensual instructors who both happen to be lithuanian like you, and they don't talk to eachother at all. In fact they're not friends in facebook anymore. I think that's so sad and I don't know how to deal with this situation, any thoughts on this? You are after all lithuanian like the two instructors :)
Sometimes, there is nothing you can do. Of course it's sad, but it's not your place to fix it 😔.
too much drama in the community as a whole. why can't people just get along?
When money involved always gets tricky 😉
