If you're making a quarter pipe, I suggest making it split in 3: the two side bits normal quarter pipe and a middle bit a roller that just follows the hill so the trail can continue, and can be jumped over!
Matt, Loving the series, I have a suggestion for you. At the top of the trails you should make little signs with the name of line on it. It would look so sick
Yes mate I’ve been wanting this for ages. Something grand. Like a smaller scale version of the signpostage at Berm Park. Also some smaller plate/signs for each jump with their name. Like on the side of the 9-iron have a wooden sign with ’9-iron’ engraved into it.
@@coopsbmx drainage just like how Woburn trails do it, dig a trench chuck some piping in it, put the dirt back over it and when it fills with water it will drain straight away
Now whip it Into shape Shape it up Get straight Go forward Move ahead Try to detect it It's not too late To whip it Whip it good ua-cam.com/video/IIEVqFB4WUo/v-deo.html
Matt! please buy in a mini digger, I know they are expensive but considering how much us the viewers and you three enjoy these building series it would be a good investment...more progress bigger jumps and less manual labour win win win. Keep up the good work loving the playground
Once your quarry has run out of primo dirt you should consider turning it into a dirt bowl. Put drainage rock in the bottom so it doesn't flood, and cover the drainage rock with dirt.
Make sure there's plenty of flat bottom space so the transition to the qp isn't too fast!! You have tuns of speed so you'll maybe need to push the qp a bit further into the hill. Also, make it extra wide cause you'll need the space for big airs. You can always cut into the bush area a bit and made a wedge as well so you have a qp to wedge setup for tricks.
Got a suggestion: What if you added a golf flag 🚩somewhere (out of the way) by the 9 iron? Would show you which way the wind was blowing by the direction it blows in. That way you could have a think about how you want to ride this new step down before you get in the air. Dirt quarter line could be air themed too... Could call the new step down 'Jet Stream'. A line about air/aeronautics. Lew
Matt if you under cut the dirt away from the high sides of landings you could fade the grass into the landing. It will still look super clean. Other option is to cut back the grass sods shape the ground underneath then before you put the grand sods back rub the bottoms to expose the grass roots before laying back down. I do bits of reclamation in a national park if you want any more tips please reach out. Playground is looking sooo sick
Hey Matt I think after you land and go into the quarter pipe you should make it so you can also use the quarter pipe as a step up I think it would pretty cool
You should do some mix of snakey berms and wall rides going through the first valley coming round the bottom right of the first hill, then have it hook back into the top of the half pipe next to where you're planning to build the mini-line around the roller, maybe add another kicker to fling you into it at the end.
14:38 in the distance, I'm looking at the end of the main line that finishes beside the big wooden kicker. You could continue that line through the gully between the half pipe with pumps in between them to maintain speed for a new line.
You should call this thing The Land because its the mother of all landings, it fills half the playground. I also like the way Matt says land. ps. my condolences to all Ferrari fans and enjoyers.
This new jump has got to be in my opinion the top 5 best of jumps you got there . The whole place is amazing don’t get me wrong but I can’t wait to see what comes next after this new line !
I know this is where the wheelbarrows go but I've been eyeing the space between wall ride and the berm and there are so many interesting line options. I was imagining jumping between them and whipping so the both tires are dragging on either side, or transferring from one to the other. I was also imagining how cool it would be to ride along the top edge of the wallride and tailwhip or 360 off of it.
After you make the quarter pipe you can make a trail that splits off and you can do a shark fin, or you could do a 180° Jump that leads back over and into the trail again
Hey Matt I have an idea. I reckon build a hut/shelter and put all your tools in there and add a Couch and some chairs to chill in there when your not riding.
You should name it the ‘drain’ (because it’s literally a big drain) then if you make something to foot plant off of you could call it the ‘Pedestrian crossing’ and have a road theme for the quarter Love the vids Matt
in the middle of the quarter pipe you should build a roll in like they have on big half pipes. but it would be a roll-out (for Jamie). maybe continue on for Jamie's Line beyond the 1/4. You will also be able to gap the roll-out when hitting the quarter pipe!
Hey Matt, You should do something with the step up kicker into the other side of the half pipe so you can go from nearly finishing a line to just starting a brand new one!!
Just an idea for the grass patches that leave a dirt "wall" next to the course, peel back the sod and remove what you need to make the areas to flat grass. ( More of a final touches episode 999 I suspect but just an idea. ) Pit bikes would be a blast in the course, keep up the great work.
On second thought, forget my comment on the previous video. The surfboard can be called in another way, NOW, that thing you just built deserves the name of Nazaré because it gives the same impression as one of the waves on that beach
Look forward to each video, sick series. If there could be more quick sessions of the whole compound in more videos that would be sick. Also please get Sam Pilgrim out to the PLAYGROUND the collab would be epic!
Could call this new line the country club because it comes off of the golf course. If you’re going to build a skinny kicker that goes into the quarter, could be called the diving board which leads to the pool. And after wards if there’s a step up that next section could be called the sun deck? Loving this series though, best build yet
I had an amazing idea for a feature when I was trying to fall asleep last night. I can't draw it properly but I hope I can describe it well enough. Double Decker Supreme: Two rollers with the last one dropping down into a bowl, where you ride up a half roller into a bowl/berm, that travels 180 where you ride down over the half roller like an X design into another bowl/berm below the Roller drop in. 2nd roller drops into the bottom lower bowl/berm. Looks like a figure 8 design. The lower berm needs to be about 2-3feet below the upper one so you can get a nice speed boost when you leave to another feature or jump out of it. I'll try and draw something and have a link to it later. Up vote this so Matt Jones can see this. I really think he'd love this idea.
You should make a skinny, less steep takeoff right next to the quarter and jump into a straight short pumptrack, like the first straight of a 4x course. You could manual the whole pumptrack. At the end you could have a small quarter and then ride the pumptrack in reverse.
Awesome build so far! When you're "done" it'd be cool if you took all the build lapse segments and put it together for one mondo build lapse video, especially with that chill beat you keep using!
Ik u see the support but for real as someone who builds jumps all the time to be able to film all this in such a short time is a insane amount of work but we really appreciate it. Keep up the great work
You guys should make a half roller into that jump so you can jump off the roll in to the jump. Or you can make a jump that means off of the other jump so it goes into that landing
Hey just a suggestion that came up at my local jumps that I think you should incorporate. One of the locals in my area suggested that we should have coping on a dirt quarter we have of our own. Just thinking that would be sick with a metal rail at the top especially if ben or you ride your bmx you can do peg tricks. I hope you like this Idea, Love ur Videos.
Matt if it means more vids, you feeling better, and more jumps. I say keep using the digger and dumpers. Still makes for a great buildlapse. TBH I want to see make a mega dirt park with just massive digger and dumpers
Hey Matt, it would be wicked if named the quarter pipe the Driver. In golf, the driver is known for the big huge swings and shots and the quarter pipe will be absolutely massive
you have to have a giant trick step up on the left side of that. if you took it like a speed jump you could have a take off on the left offer into a new set. the quarter could be on the right side leading to its own set. or back up the hill
10 ft seems pretty small for that much speed. If its not vert you'll have to pop really hard to stay in but if you dig further into the hill to get a decent flat bottom and enough space for an 11 or 12 ft transition (to vert) That could be really floaty and nice! Especially if there's some variation in it like some other people said.
If you're making a quarter pipe, I suggest making it split in 3: the two side bits normal quarter pipe and a middle bit a roller that just follows the hill so the trail can continue, and can be jumped over!
Big fan of this idea!
Yes, would hate for it too be a dead end
If the middle bit is narrow you could gap it too!
Agreed
DEFINITELY
Matt,
Loving the series, I have a suggestion for you. At the top of the trails you should make little signs with the name of line on it. It would look so sick
How did you make it a link?
@@golubushka because I didn’t put a space after the full stop don’t know how it happened
i agree that would really complete each line!
Ya know how they have like the little surf board signs sometimes, that'd be sick on the surfer line
Yes mate I’ve been wanting this for ages. Something grand. Like a smaller scale version of the signpostage at Berm Park. Also some smaller plate/signs for each jump with their name. Like on the side of the 9-iron have a wooden sign with ’9-iron’ engraved into it.
Matt that quarry you’re getting the primo dirt from could end up as a massive concrete bowl in the end, that would make a brilliant time lapse video
Yes
I’ve said this like 3 times now myself he definitely should to utilise the area he’s been digging away
He would have to deal with drainage
how is he going to stop it flooding though
@@coopsbmx drainage just like how Woburn trails do it, dig a trench chuck some piping in it, put the dirt back over it and when it fills with water it will drain straight away
Matt is the only youtuber that i get genuinely get excited when i see him upload.
Just had an 6 hour dirt jump sesh with my first whip and now i can enjoy a Nice episode of the playground. What a lovely day
Now whip it
Into shape
Shape it up
Get straight
Go forward
Move ahead
Try to detect it
It's not too late
To whip it
Whip it good
ua-cam.com/video/IIEVqFB4WUo/v-deo.html
I had a dirt sesh too today good one mate
Bro me too I just got a dj and I seshed today
I live for these
Litterally the highlight of the week
Twice!
Matt! please buy in a mini digger, I know they are expensive but considering how much us the viewers and you three enjoy these building series it would be a good investment...more progress bigger jumps and less manual labour win win win. Keep up the good work loving the playground
That's the perfect line for a quarter pipe foam pit 💯👌👌 FULL SEND
If you hammer big long pieces of reinforcement bar into the lip of the qrt pipe, you could weld a bar to it and have a metal lip!
I love that you decided to get creative with the Valley line and put the qp where you did, genius!
Matt you should carry the line on, use the speed the step down gives you and build some massive jumps throughout the line…
This is my favourite part of Sunday Mornings. Thank you for the effort guys, it's truly appreciated.
BEEN WAITING ALL DAY FOR THIS 😂😂😂
Once your quarry has run out of primo dirt you should consider turning it into a dirt bowl. Put drainage rock in the bottom so it doesn't flood, and cover the drainage rock with dirt.
I honestly have no idea how you manage two entire videos a week but I’m loving every second of it
Being a machine driver. Massive well done on using the tilt bucket so well🤙🏻
But please pop the bucket on the ground when you're done 🦺👷
Make sure there's plenty of flat bottom space so the transition to the qp isn't too fast!! You have tuns of speed so you'll maybe need to push the qp a bit further into the hill. this is no joke one of my most favourite series on youtube!
Matt deserves 1 million subscribers because look how much he builds for us

A pump track with jumps around the whole outside would be awesome.
This would be my dream!
I wait for these builds every day
Loving content mate dreaming of getting some land to do that
You and I both. What I’ve got for land currently is full of rocks. Miserable for hand shoving
I’ll Have to save up
I was thinking the same thing.
Clever editing from the ad to the tape measure! Didn't go unnoticed! 👍🏼😉
I feel I speak for everyone when I say these episodes need to be longer. Much love ❤️
That would be nice but I think they have enough on their plate as it is putting 2 videos a week
Right these build laps takes days to do not just one day they need rest to but u right that would be cool theo but it’s good enough
Can't wait to see what the end of the playground is going to look like!
The playground is going to be the Most Epic bike dirt park on the planet!
Matt if you under cut the dirt away from the high sides of landings you could fade the grass into the landing. It will still look super clean.

Who else likes before watching, because you know the contents fire already
Hey Matt I think after you land and go into the quarter pipe you should make it so you can also use the quarter pipe as a step up I think it would pretty cool
That needs to be called THE BUNKER. It's off to the side of the golf course, but also it's where some absolute bangers are gonna go off!
After watching the Playground series I now see random features in the hills while driving and I see the potential for amazing mtb features!
You should do some mix of snakey berms and wall rides going through the first valley coming round the bottom right of the first hill, then have it hook back into the top of the half pipe next to where you're planning to build the mini-line around the roller, maybe add another kicker to fling you into it at the end.
I love that I found this account a couple years ago, you guys are a blessing
Another banger guys . Looking better and better 👏. Have a great week guys !
for the sideline, jump off the first jump, then build a shark fin into the quarterpipe and the second jump can be a part of it.
You’re so going to be able to jump from Jamie’s side line to the new half pipe !!! Or from that step up
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL DIRT CRAFT ;)
14:38 in the distance, I'm looking at the end of the main line that finishes beside the big wooden kicker. You could continue that line through the gully between the half pipe with pumps in between them to maintain speed for a new line.
athletic greens Add Level# Clocked
heart all your work gents.. thankyou
On the new landing you can come out of the quarter pipe and go back up the new landing and use it as a takeoff into the nine iron landing
For the new wide jump, may I suggest AIR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION, as you air right, while Ben airs left.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You should call this thing The Land because its the mother of all landings, it fills half the playground. I also like the way Matt says land.
ps. my condolences to all Ferrari fans and enjoyers.

This series is the best ! My suggestion for the new side line is what about a few rollers into a on-off feature into the new huge lander.
Yes!! Keep that speed going!!!!
Best series ever.
Definitely seeing a line taking shape going across the bridge and ending up in this landing
After you make the quarter pipe you can make a trail that splits off and you can do a shark fin, or you could do a 180° Jump that leads back over and into the trail again
Absolutely loving this series Matt. So much work you and your team have done. Looking so epic! Cheers 🇨🇦
The upload speed is insane !!! I’m so happy
Hey Matt I have an idea. I reckon build a hut/shelter and put all your tools in there and add a Couch and some chairs to chill in there when your not riding.

Digger upgrades😍

Love the vids Matt
The best thing about Sundays is the definite Playground video!
Thanks Matt for saving my day!
If Matt was a physics teacher everyone would’ve had physics. He would’ve been the dream teacher!

Oh dear Jono is back! Always fun to see you two
These are the best videos ever to watch
Favourite jump on the track so far
When I'm finally early to a episode. Btw loving the series every looks amazing!
Hi matt, you could extend the trail next to the wooden ramp to reach the quarter pipe.
My son and I love your content! You have completely inspired myself and a few guys to buy land just to do this. Keep up the great work!!!
Hey Matt,

Am I the only one who missed episode 15. And keep up the awesome work Matt!
On second thought, forget my comment on the previous video. The surfboard can be called in another way, NOW, that thing you just built deserves the name of Nazaré because it gives the same impression as one of the waves on that beach
There could be a take off next to the berm on Jamie's side line which you could jump over the slab into the slab landing. I reckon that would be sick!
Look forward to each video, sick series. If there could be more quick sessions of the whole compound in more videos that would be sick. Also please get Sam Pilgrim out to the PLAYGROUND the collab would be epic!
That is SO much speed generated there. I cant wait to see what yall do with it.
Lest go this progress is insane I’m loving these playground episodes good work👍🔥🔥🔥

Best Mtb content on UA-cam by far!! Jones you are killing it and so pumped on the playground! 🤘🏻🔥
You guys should make a half roller into that jump so you can jump off the roll in to the jump. Or you can make a jump that means off of the other jump so it goes into that landing

who else has just been watching this guy all day long, I'm thinking about riding some dirt jumps soon and yours look awesome have you got any tips?
Awesome! The weather this week should harden up those runs as well!
I don't even ride any sort of bikes but I am a long time watcher, love these and the energy you guys have
Call it the shooting range. Sniper as the first weapon of choice
It's looking B E A UTIFUL.
how good is this setup getting now! You really are an inspiration Matty boy
You should make a hip jump from the quarter pipe and put the landing over to the left so you’re jumping over a part of the main line 🔥 sick vid
You should make a gap in the middle of the quarterpipe so you can continue over the Hill. And when hitting the quarter you could air the gap.

Matt I would love to see some wooden features, you showed off your skill last video and I think it would make for a fun challenge.
