The obvious name for the wall ride would be “OFF THE WALL” aka a Surfspot right next to /part of the same reef as Pipeline. It’s also a less consistent and more unpredictable wave with almost a shallower reef, so fits that technical last feature quite well hah

You should built a dirt volcano like skatepark style as the new first jump and you can use that to branch off into as many other lines as you want depending on the direction you jump the volcano. Also it would be sick to have a line where the beginning is a skinny into a drop. Maybe a low speed step down jump where the takeoff is like a curved skinny?
As a 54yr old who loved bikes in my younger days, road bikes and bmx ( mountain bikes and their variations didn't exist) I retired my " Ultra buner" before there was any easy to access bmx tracks. Anyway to get to the point, I totally admire the determination and bravery 🙄 you have put into this project. Setting a very good example to get the younger generations to get outdoors. Be well.

Hey Matt, longtime surfer here, I believe that you should call the wall ride “close out” because in surfing when there is a wave that becomes really steep and unrideble and everything crashes at once that is when a close out happens.
Matt - I don’t have a specific name for this feature, but I would love to see a line which is “tool themed”. You could build a long slim roler with a wide jump at the end and call it “shovel”. In addition to that, you could build something like a whale tale and call it “wheelbarrow” - jumping in and out of it. I bet you could come up with some type of jump called the “excavator”. I think this would perfectly fit in the whole playground theme. Love your videos man! Please excuse my grammar mistakes, I’m from Germany :D
The perfect name for the wall ride is “Hang Ten” which is when you hang all ten of your toes off the front of the board while your surfing. Also because of how short the wall ride is it feels like you are hanging your front tire off the end of the board.
Hi Matt, sorry, long "comment" forthcoming. I am currently 48 and my son Zach is 16. He has been a mtbiker since he was 8, and has always been a joy to watch. About 5 years ago I decided I wanted to get back in to shape and get myself a MTB so we could ride together. I bought a second hand Marin bobcat through Allride, the riding club he was riding with, and started getting fit again. At the time he was watching UA-cam with my log in, so I saw whatever he was watching, and he was watching you. A lot. So my feed was full of your amazing videos. And then you started promoting the Marin San Quentin. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted one. I told allride I was after one, and as far as I know, I got the first one available in Israel. The San Quentin 1 was the only one available, but I got it. We upgraded his bike at the same time to a Whyte full sus, but the 150mm dropper was too big for him, so I got him a 125mm, and transferred his 150 to my San Quentin. Meanwhile you were upgrading yours to dreamspec, but also showing what was possible, even on the base model. You were such an inspiration to us both. A year later I managed to get an air fork for my pride and joy, and rode thousands of km on it. Zach and were riding together, the dream was complete. But now, this summer, we are moving back to England. He needs a bigger bike, and we have debts to clear here before we move back, so we have sold both bikes. I nearly cried when I saw my bike rolling away, but what keeps me going is knowing that soon we will be getting new bikes in England (San Quentin 2 with any luck), and riding the trails from your videos that we have been drooling over for years. Long story short, we love your videos, love your humour and endless joy and optimism. I especially love that, although it would be so easy for you to edit out failures, you don't. You show that riding is a process that takes hard work, falling down and getting back up again. Please don't ever stop sharing how hard backbreaking work can lead to more fun than should be legal. So you need to get a compactor! That or a jumping jack which would really hammer down that spongy stuff. Also I have mentioned in another comment always back get a rotor tiller! It does so much work compared to your little pic Mattick and shovels! It also conditions the dirt to be ready to work segregating rocks and roots! It’s not a digger, but then again it is just 5 hp and $500! You probably spend that in a day on that bigger at least in a week! I’ve got to tillers now because I’m building that much trail and it is so worth the flight investment

Matt you should reach out to Jamie O’Brien another Redbull athlete, pro surfer, lives at pipeline, he’s got his own line of boards, one of them is a 9ft log, that would perfect to use as a wall ride! Nothing better than to have a banzai pipeline king surfer’s board in your very own pipeline.

Hey Matt! Thanks for the awesome Playground series. I reckon the surfboard feature should be called the "Cut-Back". A cut-back is when you pivot and turn your whole body and board around on the wave to go back in the direction you came from. Also, The surfboard in Pipeline is positioned like its surfer is performing a cut-back turn. Anyways thanks for the videos, keep em coming. Cheers from Norway
Matt, you should of dug a tiny little trench along the bottom of the pipeline, put a slotted fabric cover agg pipe in the trench, and filled the trench as well as a bit of the bottom of pipeline with some 20mm aggregate to form a bot of a water trough, then put some geotextile fabric down over the aggregate where your trails run before putting your dirt down. the geotextile would stop the dirt disappearing. it honestly wouldn't be that hard or expensive to do it now and then redo the lines. that would fix all your water issues on the bottom of the jumps. it would also be a good idea to do this method at the bottom of all future jumps to avoid any water issues at the bottom. it is such an easy solution and cheap way to fix water. you can direct all the agg pipe somewhere else as well, maybe to a location to pond water to spray the jumps (other than the little pond you have to manually fill)
'The Floater 💩' - it's a maneuver in surfing where you ride/grind up and along the broken part of the wave. Your take off is just like riding up the face of the wave, the wall ride is the floater along the broken part of the wave, the landing is dropping back down the clean face. Perfect. Done. (I'd enjoy it if you sprayed the board brown also)
Hey Matt, to solve your speed problems, you should have a berm that goes right under the slab and to the left of the bush, and you could then blast up the hill past the surfboard wall ride and be able to do a tree tap. It would be a best-of-both-worlds sort of feature! I'm sure you'll think of something! You could also use the opposite side of the pipeline for a sort of dual course that crosses over itself. I don't know if that would work, but it'd be really cool!
At 14:35 you said “the green tube”, after the new landing you should build a tube that goes at like a 40 degree angle, should be around 16 feet long. And the land should split off two different ways.
Love it! For the halfpipe you should make it so you have a step up in the middle and quarter pipe on both of the sides, that way you kan keep the line going. Would hate a dead end there...
On the second feature in the pipeline you could connect the lip into the middle berm/wall ride part, then you would only have to hop out, instead of hopping in & out. That would make it a cool big curved berm to a little hop out. It might help you carry more speed? Just Throwing out ideas, love the builds and this series!!

Fix a big piece timber horizontally behind the board it will strengthen the board so it doesn't snap. You could also put wedges on the underside to the horizontal timber so when you screw the board back on it will be on a slight angle, might help with the tyre to not slide so much. Loving the videos.
The Benihana would be a sick name for the surf board wall ride. Its a skateboard trick, but who will care if it sounds cool. Plus, you can say its a nod to Ben and his "hard work" putting in 1 wooden post!
Matt, you should paint this jumps blue, or maybe use kind of blue Sand or something. Also you could decorate it with shells and shark teeth. The name of the wall ride could be SurfAce as you need to be Ace to ride it.
As the build continues, you should definitely make street signs or some type of signs pointing to all the trails and their different names, or you can make signs for the different features. Just a thought that would make a small but cool difference in the playground.

You should build a pucker pad type thing like in berm peak, I don’t know what exactly the name is but I think it would be cool to hop on then do I trick out of it. It could be a good addition to the line.

The Benihana would be a sick name for the surf board wall ride. Its a skateboard trick, but who will care if it sounds cool. Plus, you can say its a nod to Ben and his "hard work" putting in 1 wooden post!

Matt, you should paint this jumps blue, or maybe use kind of blue Sand or something. Also you could decorate it with shells and shark teeth. The name of the wall ride could be SurfAce as you need to be Ace to ride it.
As the build continues, you should definitely make street signs or some type of signs pointing to all the trails and their different names, or you can make signs for the different features. Just a thought that would make a small but cool difference in the playground.

You should build a pucker pad type thing like in berm peak, I don’t know what exactly the name is but I think it would be cool to hop on then do I trick out of it. It could be a good addition to the line.

Hey Matt, coolest feature ever, I think the only obvious name for the wall ride is the board walk, it's a board and it's a walk in the park to ride hahaha, for the next feature u should build a matt Jones style pump track, that suits ur style, it could have tables and banked rollers for jumping, but build how only u would want a pump track to ride
