I have a V11 and a V8F and I see these advantages of the smaller wheel: Good for training new people; Portable and easy to load in the car for "just in case I want to ride" moments; Lightweight and easy to take up stairs; Less intimidating.
Don't give up producing content. There are people who need to see this side of the sport. It's a little weird, but "weird in a way that everyone is weird". 12:54 :)

Thank you for the comments and encouraging feedback, not everyone has the skill and support help to make amazing ride footage and I am hoping we are correct in thinking that people will benefit from seeing how the hobby fits into everyday life for various people. Helping to set realistic expectations..

Suspension is the way to go.👍
There's only a couple riders in my area. But if we advertised for a group ride lots of folks show up, did one a couple years ago. Most of the riders were way better than me but it was still fun.
    Cheers

You are awesome. Practise bending knees to make legs strong and keep blood flow to toes. Glue hooks velcro to seat and loops to wheel with super glue overnight...the next day the two can come together, and only when i need to do a tire change do i take the tire off...sitting will help with blood flow.
You are the awesomest person in kenosha, perhaps most of wisconsin...own the road with confidence...you inspire me so much. Thanks!

Thanks man, you warmed my heart with your comment, I did 91 miles in 48 hours around here recently so I'm definitely spreading the EUC love. Watching a UA-cam documentary about nomadic reindeer herders in the Artic now, maybe one day we will meet...Peace

I enjoyed hearing your thoughts about your wheels. Thanks for sharing! I've only owned the V11, which is my first euc that I bought new in February. I agree with you that riding an euc is a commitment -- and a lifestyle change.

Thank you for commenting, I'm glad you liked it. I have had a UA-cam channel for many years yet not until the lockdowns of 2020 did I get a hoverboard, then discovered and learned EUC and that was the final piece of the puzzle that made me think "I have some important thoughts to express to the world" and my kids helped me with the technology🙂Ride On!

I'm 60 years old, I love riding my wheel, I think it's the most fun I've ever done in my entire life, (and I hate exercising) BUT, I'm afraid of driving a wheel bigger than my Tesla V3 with a 2,000 motor and battery. 1,500 and weighing 21 kilos. I have it written in my head that each new learning assures me a high probability of suffering a fall or accident. I live in a very congested neighborhood and leaving my house requires me to necessarily get into car traffic. And the topography is made up of many hills (Medellin). I ask you, Heavenly, if it is justified for me to buy a heavier wheel? My route is between cars and on downhill hills. Can you imagine it? But I am mortified by the idea of not having a heavy suspension wheel (I weigh 54 kilos). You say that I need physical strength to stop the wheel, and hold it with one leg... Anyway... I send you a hug from Medellin and I thank you for your channel

I cannot imagine myself riding in the conditions that you described. I generally do my best to ride at times and in places when I will encounter fewest people and traffic. If you ever get a suspension wheel you might want to try the 16" ones but I don't know if they have enough range for you. I think you just need to give yourself much time to learn and become comfortable on bigger wheels. I only have a 5 km flat ride to work but I won't be able to ride at off peak times so I'll just need to be super safe- visible with my lights and bright and contrasting colored gear and if I ride at 20 mph I should be able do to the ride in about 16 minutes. Still need to wait a few months for good weather.

I wonder if perhaps I will enjoy a bicycle more now that I have been riding EUC so much, haven't been on one for about 3 or 4 years..

Good for you for sure -- but not as fun IMHO. I sold my MSP and got 2 bikes for the wife and I to ride together. I ended up coming back to EUC, missed it sooooo much.

Thanks for sharing. Nice to see another weirdo middle aged woman that likes EUC's and also hates working out :) But love my KS 16S, but am thinking of a bigger wheel. I have been looking at the Inmotion V11. How tricky is it to set up and maintain the suspension?

I've had my v11 for 13 months and I haven't even checked the suspension since I set it up - so for me, it's been fine. Taking off the saddle to get at the upper shocks was not really a big deal- I have difficulty reading the dials on the tiny gauges with confidence -I do have a guy (husband) who helped me & I can get to help me check it again- he is also handy for inflating the tires which you need the included stem extender to access... LOVE LOVE LOVE the suspension-since I have a bad knee. Thanks for your comment-Ride On!

Most of the new wheels, like the V13, are getting way too big and/or heavy, IMO. I have heard that it is not good to store wheels at at full charge. I keep my old starter wheels under 75%.

Thanks for your comment, How many wheels do you have?! I never took the plunge to get clark pads/power pads because I ride very comfortably without them and though stair-climbing and big jumps off-road looks amazing, I don't imagine I'll be engaging in that level of extreme...Ride On

@@HeaveHoEUC I own a V5, V8, and S18 and a V12. I am not into jumping or stairs either, but I like how the Clark pads kind of lock in the feet and provide stability. They are absolutely necessary on the V12. I am a tad past a half century old as well, so I didn't want to be a speed demon, though I am starting to catch the speed bug.

Very nice, I am hoping that if I stay with riding, my skills and fitness will gradually increase and the things I'm not ready for now will eventually & naturally become possible.

@@HeaveHoEUC These are very strange machines. It seems like we get a tad better every time we ride them with limitless potential. I believe we had to reach deep down in our psyche to learn the mechanisms to ride them, hence they became very personal to us. I am guessing it's a bit like the euphoria of the spiritual surfer archetype displayed in films. Ride safely!
