      I outgrew the V5F and gave it away after 750 miles, I know I did get 25 miles out of it on one charge early on but average speed 9 mph to get that result and 145 pound rider. Sorry I don't have better information for ya, I ride my V11 all the time now, I haven't had time to do another range test on it now that it's a couple years old and has 2240miles on it but I was able to get 60 miles on one charge in the first year...

      I'm happy for you- I chose Inmotion because I watched Wrong Way reviews and they seemed reliable. My V11 has been a joy too- yet I'm very glad I learned on the small one. Bigger Faster Stronger is definitely a thrill, however I think that the V11 is actually a little too big for me but I am definitely getting my money's worth with 2300 miles on it at this point. If I were ever to get another wheel I might try one of the smaller wheels with a wider tire something that weighs less than 40 pounds. Please Please be vigilant about safety gear- you will fall you will wipe out at some point- the rider's high that you can get is real - after the steep learning curve, all of a sudden it will feel effortless and if you do upgrade to a bigger one, stopping and dismounting a 60 pound wheel that's going 25mph is way different that stopping the little V5F going 10mph! Please feel free to share your progress here! I'm sort of a total unprofessional and I like to remind my fellow newbies/hobby riders that we are not as skilled as the pro's and we need to take even more precautions for our own safety. Don't try to ride in traffic too early- we are the most vulnerable people on the roads with our tiny profile and unexpected speed.

    I've burnt a few pieces of safety gear up in the last 8000 miles on my euc but each consumed piece of gear saved me thousands of dollars of medical care and countless hours of pain. I got up and rode away from 3 different crashes because good safety gear protected me. In some ways a bike is more dangerous because of the utter lack of safety equipment.

    Big fan of your videos here the stop at red light or traffic is sometimes annoying but sometimes nice, the best is to practice stop and go as much as you can every other day or everyday on the wheel that give you issue. I had v11 too but the pedals seems too high at least now other wheels have pedals lowering kit or are a bit lower. I am in Chicago and I stop and go a lot in traffic on my way to work because I am not in mood to zig zag ( but I do most of time 😂I just try to not when going to work) on all my suspension wheel 🛞 I love practicing stop and go it is really important it because comfortable and easy the more you do it

    • @HeaveHoEUC
      @HeaveHoEUC 8 годин тому

      Thanks for your perspective- it made me realize that because I'm only 5'2" tall, the extreme height of the V11's pedals is one of the main reasons that I have a hard time maintaining control of it when I'm stopping at lights/intersections. Also since I am not riding every day my conditioning isn't the best. I wish there was a study about the effects of Riding EUC, I find it somewhat amazing that I can work an 8 hour shift walking 30,000 steps and still have the foot/leg and core energy to ride home from work 4 miles. The main reasons I don't ride to work are weather conditions, little cargo space in my backpack for various clothing layers and sack lunch, and the fact that I like to spend my lunch hour sitting in my truck eating a sack lunch. It's nice to feel that I have enough experience riding by now that I'm not afraid of forgetting how to do it. Wishing you many safe and happy years on EUC-Ride On!

      I'm curious, how often do you come to a full stop with one foot on the ground at a stop sign /light/ or intersection? For me I find it some what difficult and physically demanding to do it and keep control of the V11 while I look for an all clear and then get started again- often I end up dismounting, straddling it for a few seconds and then getting back onto one foot with it- seems like some part of my body is not conditioned enough to control the thing easily while stopped even after riding for almost 22 months.. Maybe it's just a "me" problem

      @@whatswheelygood Thanks for your comment sharing your experience. Part of the wonderfulness of EUC is their silent running which is great for nature trails, however one might seriously consider broadcasting a Harley Engine and having some sort of intense light show flashing so that we are noticed amongst the hulking behemoth, death metal machines we call "cars" Remembering always that these roads are designed, made and maintained specifically for them, not us and we all rely on trucks and cars and most of us drive them ourselves. We EUCers need to be vigilant ( ATGATT) in taking on the responsibility and risks that our cutting edge mode of transport demands in order to protect ourselves. Ride On brother!

      What will you ride in or on? I spent years "safely" in my house putting on extra weight which was actually damaging my physique and wasn't exactly healthy. Hoverboard and EUC helped to motivate and inspire me to better health and fitness. Safer motivators and inspirations may exist for you - boredom can also be dangerous- everything we do in life is a calculated risk of sorts. But your caution is well founded, it is easy for me to imagine that me, the non -professional, has skills comparable to the pros I see on monetized youtube channels who have tons more riding experience/ time and knowledge than I do. I'm really itching to learn EUC. I took a nasty spill trying to learn a regular unicycle, but just before that I was sometimes riding it 50 feet or so (not consistently though). I just can't seem to break the muscle memory from years of bike commuting where I put a lot of my weight on the cranks to ease my bottom and hands/wrists. On a unicycle you're supposed to put all your weight on the seat. EUC might feel more natural since you're standing. I feel like I could handle EUC if it's balancing forward/backward for you and I'd just have to adjust for left and right. Having smooth and uniform acceleration could be a real plus, too. Very cool! Thank you for sharing your journey!

    • @HeaveHoEUC
      @HeaveHoEUC 2 місяці тому

      Again, I truly believe that a very reasonable preparation for learning EUC is to get the cheaper Hoverboard and the safety gear, learn to ride that safely inside your house then outside and you'll have experience with the forward facing stance and being 5 or 6 inches off the ground. The V5F I started on has its pedals only about 6 inches from the ground. You learn to trust and control the device. Then you get the EUC but you also adjust your expectations realizing it will be more difficult however totally doable and worth it! Even after successfully free mounting the small wheel several times it was often still like a total act of faith because I didn't have greAt confidence till I practiced a lot.

If it gets people one more step closer to believing they can learn a "real" EUC then I wish them well- 400$ is better than 700$ but a V5F is much better preparation to ride a V11- I still recommend that people just ride a hoverboard in preparation to ride EUC-that is the journey I took and the transition went well for me.

      I'm at work now, conveniently I wear the bright vest because I work moving carts in a huge parking lot with people coming and going all the time so that piece of gear literally pays for itself. Last piece of gear is my hand mirror which I rubber band to two of my fingers and hold loosely and move as needed.

      Since I can wear half my gear while working, my return trip takes a little less prep. Thanks for sharing your experience. It used to be very frustrating to remember to put the gear on in the right order and have everything in one place to start but I learned even though I'm old!!!

    I started euc riding about 3 weeks ago and am absolutey hooked. Got a hammy down v10 and i ride very aggressively in traffic the whole nine because i find it the most exhilarating and fun. I really want to upgrade already. I find it awesome that youre also a enthusiast.

      That's great, I hope you are fully geared up. Sounds like you haven't crashed yet, I'm very happy for you! Some reactions I have had" that looks so futuristic" " you look like a spaceman". Whenever possible I ride in low traffic and in the early mornings - the V11 is about 60 pounds which is still a beast to drag up and down a few steps. Wear your safety gear God is Good, Ride On!!

      @HeaveHoEUC hey amen sistah!!! Ride on!!! I certainly have already fallen and got a small fracture for being too confident. It's already almost healed up but I kept riding while I had it because I just enjoyed it that much. I couldn't stop myself. Admittedly, I would have done it differently if I could do it again, but I love that I've gotten so comfortable and so much more vigilant and safe since it happened.

      It seems you are much younger than me, I learned the V5F when I was 53 years old and I started on hoverboard a year before that, I face planted on hoverboard with just the cheap set of wrist, knee and elbow protection and a good regular bike helmet on and was happily uninjured. I have had only one EUC crash that made me rethink whether to continue riding it or not ( huge bruise on left hip) but no broken bones. The exhilaration factor helped me decide to keep going but to be super cautious about wearing my gear, being well rested, and making better decisions on my longer rides. Please wear the gear- full face helmet as the minimum- you only have the one body! Thanks for you comments, hopefully you are not AI, I haven't heard of anyone pick up EUC so fast that they were riding gearless in traffic at 3 weeks.... 😂

    • @Miguelstradamus
      @Miguelstradamus 4 місяці тому

      @HeaveHoEUC I am most certainly not AI and I'm 33 years old. And yes I adjusted to this v10 and learned very quickly because I was riding every day and very confidently aggressively learning, which is why I fell like 5 times, 1 of which resulted In a very minor fracture in my arm. I also have been riding on skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, and bikes all my life. I take your advice. You sound like my mother, which I appreciate. Except, she begrudgingly accepts that she can't stop me from riding. She'd throw my wheel out if she didn't respect and love me.

    I can drain my v13 in as little as 25 miles, most rides I can do about 37-43 miles. My v12 i would get about 20 miles. I can get more if i ride with my head instead of my heart but who wants to do that? I am also a larger man who weighs about 240. Ride safe!

      Thanks for your informative comments. My V11 still feels super heavy to get up stairs into the house where I keep it in the laundry room, someday when it's on its last legs battery wise I could see myself trying a wheel with a little more power and range so that I can take the next step to riding between 25-28 mph whereas now I ride mostly 18-22 mph. If I ever go faster than that I want to invest in a suit complete with airbags.

    • @whatswheelygood
      @whatswheelygood 4 місяці тому

      @@HeaveHoEUC yeah stairs definitely suck to deal with on heavier eucs. I added some concrete pavers to my back porch step so I can just roll up to the door but am strongly considering a front porch ramp to roll the euc up. It is really nice to go as fast as you could ever want with tons of headroom on both power and range. I often cruise in the high 20s to mid 30s, it feels very comfy on v13.

    Yikes! How are you feeling? To glue a V11 seat glue loop velcro to handle and hook to inside seat...the best glue has been $2 super glue...and to my best knowledge it is the most comfortable seat on any unicycle...and I get it if you are comfortable with the setup. You are awesome.

      Thanks for your helpful tips and kind comments! This video was May 1st 2022- I was on the V5F- I did a low speed wipe out and landed funny in the middle of a vacant quiet residential road on a Saturday morning which caused some long term shoulder pain- but after 2 years it rarely bothers me- weird weather and sleeping on it wrong still brings pain- the setbacks help me remember to be more careful and cautious. I have postponed indefinitely my V11 seat installation and learning seated riding but I appreciate the sound advice for secure application. What are some of the best reasons to learning seated riding, does it enhance the EUC experience very much? I find it difficult to contemplate learning to ride backwards either...

No, a tornado is a disaster, and sometimes my hair in the morning looks like a disaster but wipeouts on EUC are more like the few bicycle wipeouts I've experienced....scrapes and bruises if you wear the gear Full face helmet wrist guards, knee pads elbow pads and.chest and back protection.

Interestingly , it seems to me that EUC inspires me to find a way to balance all my life's interests so that now that I have done the hard work of learning it, I can put it in a good place in my life that is NOT the Center and I think to myself" I should find out what other people are into and I might learn even more great things and then if they ask me about my interests i can tell them about EUC!
