[About the bento box]
Hi it’s imamu! I get some questions about my husband’s bento box so let me talk about that. First of all, the bento box is my mom send me from Japan. If you interested in the bento box, please check Amazon Japan ( Japanese one has many choices(design, size). need to change language setting from the menubar )
••• my husband’s bento box •••
Name/ 「Wooden bento box」 or 「Wappa bento box」
Size/ Small
(The size is important to arrange your amount of food. In my husband case...he doesn’t wanna eat too much at his work. I wanna pack the side dishes tightly because he put on his backpack when he get work. We don’t the dishes wanna act up that’s why small size for him.)
How he eats/
He eats the bento like room temperature. That’s natural thing for me and him. He also wanna start eating lunch at work quickly.
The reason why I like wooden bento box is/
1. The nostalgic design :)
2. Lightweight
3. The rice is tasty
( The wood moisturizes so that’s it won’t easily become hard to get stuck even when the rice is cold) ←This is depend on the wood quality. I guess( hope lol ) our bento box working well for that~
How I treat the wooden box/
1. Wash (ours is urethane coating so I use soap)
2. Wipe up wet part with a towel
3. Dry naturally
( The wood don’t go well with water. When my husband can’t wash and dry naturally it at work, just wipe up in the box and bring home. ( and I treat lol )
I learn that’s better rather than wash and put it in backpack soon.)
I explain a lot but I just wanna say, it’s important to use bento box that you LIKE :) ( If you like hello kitty, that would be so cute ~!)
I think they motivate a lot to make bento !

Im not japanese, but ive really fallen in love with pretty bento boxes and a lot of asian style dishes. Im african, but i love the way they arrange everything. It's so pretty all the time so my kids might have to deal with a couple bento boxes from now on. In my house we literally eat foods from all types of cuisines
You definitely do not have to be japanese to enjoy bento boxes! It’s totally fine for you to enjoy and make them. And when you finish cooking, the sense of accomplishment is great, you should make them!
Yeh, in Hong Kong we always have steak together with rice and choisum (a kind of Chinese vege) and some carrot and onion soup haha.

You should, not just for husband but yourself, idk if you're asian whether you're east, southeast, south, central, or west asian. Even though some high-middle & upper-class people have household assistants but it's like something the elders always say "learn to cook even though just basic, no one wants to marry you if you can't cook or men would leave you"

I can never understand men (or anyone really) who take this sort of stuff for granted or even complain. I grew up poor with a single dad who could barely cook toast and when he remarried and suddenly not only did I get regular meals cooked for me, but they also werent TV dinners I was thrilled. Anytime someone cooks for me, even if its a sandwich I get excited. If i were at work at someone offered to share half of one of these bento boxes with me i'd probably propose to them on the spot.
That's the issue. Most don't. In many countries women are forced to do this everyday. Neither will they get likes on UA-cam nor will they get thanks from their husband. The society thinks husbands are entitled to it

@@TheVioletMaze ah yeah stay at home mum (or dad) is a big job. I personally know i wouldn't be as good at the job as my bf. On top, I'll be gaining nearly double of what he earns in the future, so financially it will also make more sense. However my personal favourite would be not for one parent to stay at home 100% and the other working 100%, because i think it's important for children to have a bit of every parent. However, not every job lends this flexibility, so we will see ^^
Me and my partner watched this the other day and she made a bento for today’s dinner. Came back here to see what kind of bento I should make for tomorrow’s breakfast :)
I love watching your videos - your food always looks amazing
Y'know she's a keeper when she makes you lunch like these

Watching her makes me wanna cook bentos for myself lol
I came back watching your videos and it's now 400k- I'm so proud 🥰
I've made a few bentos for my husband when I have the time
(we both have full time jobs, so I usually just cook dinner if I'm in the mood about 2-3 times a week)
Usually, if I make dinner, I'll make a little extra for his lunch the next day and I'll arrange it nicely into a bento.
But I'm so glad I found this channel, because I never really know what to put in them or how to plan them out for the week.
I'd like us to start eating healthier and prepping meals for the week, and this channel has really helped me do that.
So thank you!
