Bless yer heart, girl. Am sorry that people have been rude to you. Thank you for being courageous and sharing your soul. Its now 2024....a time when I think people behave even worse than in 2019.😢 Take care, be well. Thank you again, the rest of your viewers appreciate your efforts.
You are right nicer to hear a voice rather than music to watch and hear sinks in my brain, I am 78 so not as sharp as o was love this lace got lots of moulds as I used to make cakes
Just found you! I enjoy your video alot. I liked hearing your story and your suggestions to folks to keep their pissy comments to themselves. I like your suggestions for the caulk mold craft and am going supply shopping tmw. Carry on.
I agree. I don't care fir the music in the background. I'm glad to see you making the lace molds. I watched another person do the same but was not impressed with her technique. You make it look a bit easier. I'm trying to find techniques to create my own molds. Thanks.
Thank You for Your Great Video. I am New to this so you’ve been a Great Instructor. Following your lead, I will definitely be using the same technique and products.💖
Hi Katie, I love your videos, you are very talented and one of my most favorite artists. I don't know how you manage a job and doing this a night, it 's hard enough to work and take care of home life too, but I'm glad you do this for us, I've learned so much from you. The lace molding is super incredible, I am really addicted to lace. Keep the videos coming, I love everything you do.
Very interesting. I love watching art videos. I like Marta as well. She is from Polandbut has lived in Ireland for 13 years. I willcheckyour FB page. Willlovetosee your art.I did subscribe to your channel.
Thank you for sharing your love of making art. I am new to your channel. I love your candidness while crafting. It is very relaxing to listen to you. Thanks again.
Omg. Everything you said in the beginning, same. I remember watching my grandma paint while watching Bob Ross and I loved it, I craft. I have my hands in everything and love seeing art and making it. 😍😍 I have an etsy shop now and it's awesome . Love your videos!!
Love watching crafts too!!! I've discovered this week that some of my dainty moulds using modeling paste has cracked. Can you tell me what you think the reason behind this may be? This is the first experience of this happening. It's also the first week of having the heat on in the house, I'm thinking this may be the the cause...tia
Wow, this is so perfect- I'm completely in love with & obsessed with lace. I have quite a few silicone lace molds but the only thing I've used in them is liquid clay & that's great and all but liquid clay is expensive for me & it takes up quite a bit so I've been wondering about other possible options to use in the molds. I'm so extremely excited about this video! I have molding paste because I was into art journaling for a bit but haven't done it in awhile so this is a perfect way to use it. I, for one, would love love LOVE it if you did end up showing us a project or ideas on things to do with these lace pieces. I'm going to try making it later but so far cant think of anything at all to actually do with it yet. And a quick question- molding paste can be colored, right? Like maybe with shaved up chalk pastels or possibly mica powders or maybe even alcohol inks.. I don't know, what do you think? If so then we can make colored lace also & possibly even metallic or glow in the dark lace! Ok, sorry I keep bothering.you. I've just been watching all of your videos all day & I'm so happy to have found you on here. I'm currently trying to make your beautiful little white & yellow flower cane. I can't believe you just came up w/ it on the spot like you said, that's amazing & I'm so jealous of your creativity & ability! Thank you so much for another great tutorial
Yeah I was cleaning up and found the molds I did with silicone and can not get it out so tossed them. Thank you for your explanation. When you open the caulking try put a nail in the hole and plastis on top.
Yes, Maremi Small Art or something... love her voice! I think she is originally from Eastern Europe - can't remember the country right now - and moved to Ireland and married an Irishman not necessarily in that order. Thank you for sharing this technique! It's lovely and could be incorporated into so many different designs. (P.S. just subscribed tonight and binge watching to catch up lol)
Was very interesting watching this. Would it help on unmolding if you added some corn starch VERY lighthanded with a makeup brush? I saw someone use spray oil (like Pam) that was very lightly brushed on - but i didn't like the idea if oil on my lace as it might not take paint or stain well. Also, if you put the mold face down and roll it back while gently releasing the lace, it might help to minimize tearing. Loved the idea of thumping the mold to get rid of air bubbles. Thanks for sharing!!
To keep the caulk from drying out, put some cling wrap around the tip and then push caulk out until you have a bubble at the tip. Secure it with an elastic or rubber band. It works on all kinds of caulk.
By the way love your videos. Very informative for beginners like me. Other question,,, Just started working with polymer clay,,, Really got some cool designs out of the clay,,,, Used sculpted primo, Baked them and came out great,,, Didn't know much about glazing them,,, So I tried the sculpt glaze that you brush on. Don't like it , it leaves brush marks,,,, So,,, Can I use the resin over the scurry glaze,,,, Do you think it would level out the lines from the glaze...
Love your videos, I thought as I was watching this, when you clean up with wipes, wrap one over your metal tool for the harder to reach areas, like in the corner edges thats delicate you can use the point of your tool. Just a thought, hope it helps 💞 I love that you do mixed media because its something my 13 year old daughter can do with me, she draws a lot and anime is her thing, maybe we could switch it up and make her drawings 3D with polymer clays and paints 👌🏼 Thanks for sharing your gift, & don’t take no notice of the nasty people who complain. Do what you love & nothing else matters 😉 sending you happy vibes from NSW Australia 🇦🇺 🤗
Do you have the link to the Molds you used here and bought on Amazon? Could you tell us what the name of the molds are or the link. I woukd appreciate it. Thxs!
Katie that is not dumb. It will make any bubbles escape plus settle down into mould. Katie I like how you teach me. I am 75 and I enjoy your lesson. I am being nosy you don’t need to answer what is your fiancés name. 😄🤓🇨🇦
Just found you via my sister Elitia over in Canada, she shared you . 👏👍🌸🇨🇦I am in 🇿🇦 South Africa. She also does mixed media. Check Elitia Hart. You will love her work🌻

Thanks for all the tips. One tip for you. After you cut the top off your caulk and want to save it insert a nail big enough to fill up the opening.

I always put a nail with a big flat head on it..inside the caulking tube. It keeps them from drying out and the big head is easy to grab for removal.
What kind of paste are you using? Thanks for the video❤
It is so nice and delicate. I have done this on my cards but ours is a sheet of stencil and we do it directly on the card but with the same paste
I love this, just not sure what to buy here in the Netherlands. But definitly see myself using it

Dies air dry clay also work with these molds?

Other question,,,
Just started working with polymer clay,,,
Really got some cool designs out of the clay,,,,
Used sculpted primo,
Baked them and came out great,,,
Didn't know much about glazing them,,,
So I tried the sculpt glaze that you brush on.
Don't like it , it leaves brush marks,,,,
So,,,
Can I use the resin over the scurry glaze,,,,
Do you think it would level out the lines from the glaze...

I use a roofing nail with a large head to seal tube
Wondering can I used this on baked clay and then resin it
If you open the silicone latex squeeze that has no cap, use a nail in the hole to "cap it off".
Please mention the brand of modeling paste you used for this project.
I used modelling paste in lace mould but it crumbled when I tried to remove it. 😢
Can you use anything rather than achocl
To seal the caulking tip, insert a nail with a good size head... Stays fresh forever
Do you have the link to the Molds you used here and bought on Amazon? Could you tell us what the name of the molds are or the link. I woukd appreciate it. Thxs!
My Dad & husband put a nail in end to extend the life of the caulk.

Have you used any of these in your jewelry yet? I would love some ideas :D
No this is when I was doing mixed media they are very fragile on their own
