Thank you for making Japanese curry friendly, I've been doing the same with bigger blocks and after finding a delicious local restaurant in Fresno, Ca.
Ah! My mother (who’s Hawaiian/Japanese) from Laie always blamed my DAD (from Utah) for that wayyy carb heavy meals with BOTH potatoes AND rice. So yeah curry beef chicken or pork with potatoes (lots) and lots of meat “token” carrots served over white rice. Oh my potato pieces are a lot bigger. It’s not only your recipe there’s one (my favorite) is boneless country style ribs (no onions or carrots) and potatoes using the preserved dry black beans as flavoring so it’s a stew served over white RICE. Everyone thinks is so weird and carb heavy and she always said “blame your Father” who passed when I was like 11 so yeah not HIS fault. I swear when her mother visited (Hawaiian) she’d add macaroni salad with those meals too but complain “too much meat and potatoes” lies all lies! I use a pressure cookers lol
I love how at the end of your videos (while tasting your creations) you give the shrug shoulders, head tilt, and smile. So fricken' cute!! 🥰 BTW, I make chicken katsu curry all the time... a family favorite.
I just made this for dinner tonight and it was SO DELICIOUS!! My husband and brother just raved about it. It’s definitely going to be a regular meal in our house. 😋
I miss your videos! Happy to see full videos coming back 😘
Yay! Thank you!

I was literally looking at the golden curry package in my pantry thinking about making this tonight. Definitely making it now.

I use the instant pot with tinfoil bundles for the potatoes and carrots.
Nice. Love my Instant Pot too.

Aloha Henry. I added the curry into the vegetables after they were boiled. I did not add anything before that.
