In this video we will explain on Chevrolet Cruze if the heater is stuck on cold and the heat blows cool or cold, or the ac/ blows warm bu your ac compressor works good we will demonstrate how the blend door actuator if not working right will cause that. If you cannot change the settings for the heater or A/C it is very likely that you have bad blend door actuator. This video may help you fix heater that blows cold or ac that blows warm Chevrolet Cruze first generation. We demonstrated how to fix blend door actuator that causes heater to blow cold or ac to blow warm on 2015 Chevrolet Cruze but it may help on the whole first generation Chevrolet Cruze. The plug was disconnected.
I had an issue where the heater was stuck on hot and blowing from the windscreen vents no matter what I set it on, and also there was a constant ticking sound coming from the dash area. I disconnected the battery for a minute and reconnected it and it seems OK now.
Thanks. Same exact thing for me. I disconnected the battery for about 10 mins and it is working normally now.

I never found out but disconnecting a terminal off the battery for a few seconds seemed to sort it. That car is in car heaven now R.I.P Chevy 🥲

Hello guys, love your videos. I have a 2013 Chevy Cruz that’s not Cold air very well. I’ve replaced the blend door actuator and it didn’t help. If I pinch the rubber hose going to the heater core it starts to get really cold. I think my problem may be the blend door itself my be broken. It doesn’t look like it’s a very easy fix and I’ll add any videos on replacing one. Thank you 😊

@@nawarislewa999 Hello, Haven’t fixed it yet. I think there’s something wrong with the blender itself. The only way to replace it is to replace the air box which means the whole dash has to come out. Not looking forward to it. If you do figure it out please let me know.
@@billybertsch7140 am in the same page mate , they checked mine and they said it’s the blender itself.
I’ve seen videos with the Chevy Camaro that they cut holes in the side of the airbox where the blend door actuator is located to slide out the blend door. I haven’t seen any videos with the Cruze. Also I don’t know if you can just buy a blend door. I couldn’t find any online.

I have an issue with the heater on Chevrolet Cruze 2012. On the passenger side the heater doesn't work but on the driver side yes. I was wondering if you think that by replacing that piece could help with my problem too. Thx

I swapped my heat door actuator, but my vents blow cold, even though my heater core gets nice and hot, any ideas what could cause that?

Same problem one side hot one side cold
I have a single zone climate control on my Cruze, and I get cold air on the driver side and hot on the passenger with temperature control at max. I guess it is not this actuator in this case, right?
Same issue here. Guessing there might still be one actuator per side, operating in tandem but controlling different vents? Will need to take a closer look.
Nope, just the one actuator, so since one side is working correctly, the actuator is fine. One blend door might be uncoupled from the actuator. I've also just read elsewhere that “low coolant can cause one side of the heater core to run cold”. I've had a coolant leak issue for a while now, so that checks out too.

Sadly we never worked it out, and the car is no longer with us so we'll never know.

@@wanitaolsonable no, I ended up taking it to an auto-electrician for a check, he said it's the heater core and it would cost a $1000 to fix. Totally not worth it

Way do we have to pay 200 dollars for labor when it hasn't worked rt since we bought it it worked for a while they because window weren't tinted that should make a difference
The car was sent to nv were it gets hot tinted window should be done but dealer .but it wouldn't mater it just don't work right just because we didn't take it down year they figured it was all right wrong we just put up with it when it was on warranty they said there is nothing wrong. Because they to lazy to check it I hate dealer like that .I bought a grand am and the said it all ready been through the shop .I checked the ball joints both side they said that they were in spec but they were not and down the road a while I would have had to put new one on. 600.oo they were wrong and lucky I didn't report it to the state for saleimg a car that was not safe
