    I was able to correct the cable without having to thread the new one through, but I still had to disconnect it from the gearbox and take it apart to get some slack in the cable. I found that a 5.5 mm wrench fit perfectly, which is extremely similar to 7/32.

    Can I manually turn the heat on, after removing the glove box, for the winter? My company is surplussing my car and won’t fix it. I can work on cars, I’m freezing and just need it on until my new one arrives.

    • @GarageMahalLife
      @GarageMahalLife  Рік тому

      You can, you are looking for that gear ⚙️ thing, you can manually move it. My son did this for a season until we found the part on our own. You can kind of regulate it by the fan speed, but you either have freezing or hot. Windows are helpful too. I'm sorry you have to go through that.

    i just replaced the harness and resistor on 2015 trax. all is working well.. it was a little cold this morning so I turned the heat switch to hot. when I restarted trax nothing was working. i gave a light tap to the dash to the left of the heat switch and it came on. it has worked well both heat and cold ever since.
