I visited St. Petersburg and Moscow for the first time in my life last year and it was an incredible experience. I got to watch Kamila Valieva and Anna Scherbakova perform live at the CSKA arena on two different occasions. It was a dream come true, as they are figure skaters who I greatly admire. I am so glad we have people like you who can show us the real Russia, not the fake one we often see in social media.
Not only loving your content but also the vibe between the two of you! Your energy reminds me of my younger adventurous self too. Looking forward to more videos of the two of you travelling, journeying and growing together
The price for daily housing is so expensive because you got there during the tourist season + the city was preparing for the EEF, which took place on September 3-6, but the city prepares long before that.
Happy anniversary. I am from Hong Kong, and my wife is German. We lived in the US. You guys remind me of our younger days. We loved those King Crabs. We have them here, but they are much more expensive, like twice or three times your prices. They are sold in Hong Kong restaurants, too. I introduced seafood to my wife when she visited HK for three months during our college summer vacation in 1980. The buffet line looks like those in America 40 years ago, except it serves American food. The uniform was similar. None of those exist today. It is nice to tag along. Thanks.
Your channel just popped up on my feed. I’m only halfway through this video but I’ve already subscribed! You two are great! Looking forward to checking out your other videos.
I have heard about Vladivostok several times in news but never expected it's near the North Korea and Japan like you guys showed me. I thought it likes most of cities near Moscow which is in Europe or Asia. Wish to get there in the future ❤
Hello, it’s so beautiful in Russia! Wow! I always wanted to go to Russia especially Vladivostok/Haishenwei. Both of my parents were raised in Hong Kong and you guys should go to visit Russia, China, North Korea TriPoint. Thanks for the the video!
I asked a friend who is from the southern Russia region of Krasnodar Krai if he has a borscht soup recipe, and he told me every family has their own version. True enough.
Thank you for the beautiful video of my city. By the way, in Vlad it's getting dark at 6 pm, not at 3 pm in winter, like in Moscow. Vladividtok is located on the same latitude as Sochi.

38:40 those are not "marshrutka" buses, those are just regular small buses, which work as any other buses, if we speak about transportation system in Vladivostok. "Marshrutka" is a short form of "marshrutnoye taxi" - route taxi and means a special way of transport service, usually without any schedules, cashless paying methods and so on
Love the Russian content. You two have good energy. Keep up the good work. Most travel UA-camrs ended up doing luxury and crazy challenges and that is not very relatable.
23:39 this is not real red caviar, it is an imitation. real one costs at least 500-600₽ ($5-6) for 100 gramms 47:50 Kamchatka crab lives in Vladivostok as well. Also locals usually do not buy it at stores, because it's expensive there. What they do is find crab poachers (illegal fishers) and buy fresh one from them. This summer I've bought 1 kg of boiled medium crab legs for 1400₽ ($14) and small ones for 1200₽ ($12). sounds kinda wild I guess
Thank you for this video, Alina and Justin! My favorite parts were the Kamčatka crab restaurant, the stolovaja (canteen) and the lighthouse. Cannot wait to see the other videos from this series :)
Thanks for showing us around Vladivostok! I have always wanted to visit there. Hope to visit there once I am able to speak Russian fluently. By the way, do you all know if it is safe to visit Хасанское (Khasan)? I would love to be able to see North Korea from there since it is near Vladivostok.

At about 6 minutes in the canteen: the women are NOT dressed as soviet school girls. They are dressed as 19th century european serving/staff/maids. This is how 19th european women" in service" dressed. Which makes sense since archetecture of the canteen is 19th century. They are in theme. Then, in mid 19th centurey, there was a need for better educated lower classes. And there was a need for a much larger educated middle and upper middle people. Which means that intelligent people from the lower class could move up. In the cities, a large public school system was organized for lower classes. The school girls from lower classes wore this type of uniform. The public school system was expanded and updated by the soviets, but the uniforms didn't change much.
not all russian has high expectations, most have low taste. this is the same as every country, everyone says they are specialist but reality is most at the lowest. if ramen is soft, means its bad because this is a basic simple standard requirement. Everywhere has seafood, fish also is a seafood. Justin doesnt know sea cucumber, its a common seafood in all chinese majority countries! Crabs are suppose to be still tasty even without sauce.
