I knew I did not recall her in this film! It’s a good movie. She doesn’t bounce in the frame until the last 30 secs lol..

@@ireneayala9115I just looked at the Red Carper for this film and there she was.. appearing at the end of the line BUT she had Depp with her. The crowd was cheering for Depp (Eddie R had to look over) and AH grabs Depp’s face aggressive and kisses him. ..🙄

Gerda is an alpha female. No wonder Einar fell for her. Her masculine traits and the fact she pursued him made Einar and Lilli fall in love ♥️

I never knew she was in this film. The forced laughter was cringed. Regardless, perhaps it wasn’t so bad but several actresses could have done way better about her role.
Am I the only one who wished Lili and Gerda to be a couple? 1. Lili was obviously attracted to Gerda for 6 years as Einer as it would be impossible to fake attraction. 2. Gerda gave me a major bisexual vibes, otherwise she wouldn’t be that into Einer cross dressing early in the film.
Why is it Amber Heard in the thumbnail and not the other actress? She appears like two seconds at the end :/
This was a wonderful movie. Eddie Redmayne so wonderful and sad.
From a review in The Guardian at the time of the film release: "Then one day their dancer friend Ulla (an alarmingly high-spirited Amber Heard) is late for a portrait sitting". I remember how it stood out when I read it at the time and it is now ringing in my ears...how appropriately worded!
Never heard of AH until this small part she was in. She was so beautiful in that first scene where Eddie Redmayne is with all the costumes. She's never been a leading lady & after the trial whether she wins or not, never will be! She's only brought much awareness to DV against men by women.
And that is what she will be remembered as. She caused her own downfall!
Thank God Heard is only in the last 30 seconds of this clip - a minor part to match her minor part in the film?. For the first 8 minutes we can enjoy the beauty and quality acting of Alicia Vikander - shame the clip wasn't cropped to 8 minutes - don't know how to crop a video?? - ask Heard.

I saw this film when it first came out. I loved this movie, however, until this trial between JD and AH came out. I would of never known or remember that Amber was in this movie. I remember all the great actors in this movie, but not her. Goes to show how forgettable she is!!

Not universal studios riding on the back of Johnny Depp’s hacked off finger; this _could_ have ended 5s sooner, focusing on Eddie & Alicia. movies like this are what confuse people about being Trans. Throwing on a dress is not going to suddenly stir all of these intense feelings up. There's not some dormant gene that becomes active when the right fabric touches your thighs. Trans tends to be a lifelong feeling/identity many struggle against for fear of letting that part of themselves come out. They tend to know those feelings are there long before they put on the dress or the makeup.
I can see some a crazy religious parent watching this, thinking that the dress is what makes the Trans and that they're gonna be extra watchful of their son if he ever picks up a doll or looks at a dress wrong for fear that putting something on is going to "ruin" him.
I think it is you who are confused. Putting on the dress didn’t turn him into “Trans”. Lily came to life in a time where being a transvestite was an unimaginable sin! Lily defied the establishment and pursed the most brutal surgical procedures. She died pursuing her transition. Donating herself completely to sciences for her transition surgery. The cost was her life and the painful death she endured is just unimaginable! This movie was a beautiful tribute to the real life person she was.

Have you seen the movie? Einar/Lily doesn't just start feeling these things just because of dresses. She has always been Lily. Even as a child. Sure the dresses stirred Lily up when she's dressed up as Einar. Einar has always been Lily.
