Although this song will always be “Chet Baker” in my heart, it’s important to note that this was originally was wrote for a Broadway musical called “Babes in Arms”, but quickly became a jazz standard and featured on over 1300 albums… making it on the list of the most covered standards of all time.
I first think I heard this song while watching the Matt Damin movie, The Talented Mr. Ripley… give it a watch if you haven’t, it’s brilliant. Quickly fell in love with the simplicity of just the piano and the vocals only version, which inspired this… I put a little extra love into the piano on this - so hope you enjoy it!
