I raced motorcycles for 48 years. But my real, first deep passion for 2 wheels was the bicycle. It was one or the other, something I regret choosing the engine form. I cycle now more than ever because of good guys like Chris Froome. Such a moving story, such a humble, fine human being. Imagine the world full of genuine people like Chris 🏆🏆🏆🏆
Chris Froome is my biggest inspiration from the sports world. To come from Africa and to achieve what he has achieved is beyond imagination for some. His resilience and mental toughness should be shown as example for every young kid.
what an amazing story I am truly emotional at this moment because I was not aware about the story behind...wow what a human human being and a champion!
Chris Froome is without doubt the best of his generation of professional cyclists and one of a very select few whom history will remember as a superstar. Along with many others I wish him a speedy and complete recovery from his horrific accident on the Criterium de Dauphine.
so froome actually beat cobo in the mountain, would've won the vuelta if he wasnt riding for wiggins, while everyone else was left in the dust. and froome's performance isnt suspicious in the slightest when the only guy that could keep up was doped?
@@diphje Dude, he's on Team Sky/Ineos. He's not doping. They are a machine. They will literally kill him if he doped. He's a clean rider, just look into the training and fueling plans that team can accomplish. stfu about conspiracy bs.
Chris is a amazing guy and cyclist I have asthma and he is a inspiration to me well done Chris I followed Stephen Roche and they all said he doped that's sick shame on those people froome is genuine
Such a humble and respectful man...even if he clearly had faster legs than Wiggins, he kept his role. Other people would have put the designated leader and the whole team in an embarrassing spot
Now awarded the 2011 Vuelta win and today we see him making an incredible recovery from the horror crash that six weeks ago had many writing him off. Superhuman.
Keep up be strong everybody & love cycling, the most exciting adventure of life above all, you can bet on it, very cute this documentary, big loving hug Froomey, never stop believe in, for me cycling lovers are the best people in the world..no matter what
Oh man chris is such a lovable guy with a great personality. I'll never be a fan of his riding style even tho he won many races with it, but still an inspiration to me and many people.
Great cyclist and person too. However, It is true that a Tour of France is not won just by a single rider, it is won by a team. Team Sky definitely the strongest one.
Team Sky really handled the situation with a back-up ride out performing the captain much better this time in Tour de France 2018. I'm pretty sure that was only because the captain this time (Froome) had a much clearer self-image and realized that Thomas had a better shot.
was it when he cheated his way to the WC or the part where a poor guy asked for some spare change from the multimillionaire and he said no and right after said it is hard seeing all the poor people in Kenya and South Africa? :D
He gives everyone hope that they too can win with their asthma and FEV1 < 0.8. After all it is asthma, COPD and it does result in pulmonary hypertension and severe limits on ones capacity to breathe let alone be the best in the world. Obviously his lungs with asthma are better than the lungs of top athletes without asthma. Of course his asthma is real and clinically symptomatic. (Not!) My asthma gets better with strenuous exercise over a long time; of course, superman Chris Froome's doesnt and hence his special *need* for salbutamol.
David Walsh in documentary about Armstrong and in documentary about Froome - two different persons. He is suspicious about Lance from the beginning but for the similar stage winnings of Froome he says "tough as a nail". The guy trained with blood cells problem and recovered and won Tour and it's all ok for Mr Walsh but he was very suspicious about Lance. And finally, after Froome's incredible performance journalists, rightly so, asked about dope and Walsh said it's because of Lance... I'm not talking about Froome here, I really don't know if he uses something... but David Walsh clearly has double standards.
Gods sake every pro rider is on doping you otherwise simply cant win these races, its a thing you need to get over with, it sucks but that is how it is
Institoris Institoris I guess it is because Lance and Chris Froome had very different body structure. Lance went from being a man for 1 day races who struggled to climb, to winning 7 TdF. That was much more fishy than if he had the right body structure for a tour/giro/vuelta in the first place. I am not commenting on whether or not CF is taking anything, because I have no elements to do so. I am just saying why one scenario looks more suspicious than the other.
Well said because they are all on some kind of doping to keep up with that speed. - "but you need to get over with it" in morally wrong on a deep level, because then the big companies behind the sponsorship of the Tour De France has won. Then it´s ONLY about big business and big money and ONLY about winning - a cold game.
Samuel Padfield it was a last minute thing for Gerraint to win but Bradley obviously knew Chris was good and better than him at some things and he could win
watch out... kenyans might learn how to compete in bicycle ...they're fastest runner on earth in marathon... give that marathoner a bike and he will fly like a bir in sky.
this man was raised and trained by real Africans and this is where he get the Will to suffer cuz just look at 100m and the NBA yes black and white people are build different and no im not racist but its just the damn truth but Chris for a boy to a man trained but it wasn't training to him it was just normal but now it all makes sense
It's amusing to watch this documentary after Dr Freeman testimony, Jonathan Tiernan-locke allegations, Team-Sky "stolen" computers, all the team TUE exemptions, Brailford silence on many questions... Froome is certainly a good lad, but the doping policy around Team Sky was as bad as Us Postal one. Time will solve the problem.
Gaudu and Demare hate each other, some stories and yes a lot of Ego involved, they talked about it a few months ago. I also think it is unfair and rude even if the rider has been not perfect, c Mon pay some respect to Arnaud.

In my opinion the greatest cyclist since Eddy. Such a humble guy . Thanks for a fine documentary

Decent and humble guy. Respect, Froomey.

This documentary made me know things about Froome that I didn´t know before
Well Mr Froome is definitely a breath of fresh air and exactly how a person should apply himself.
Treasure this man. It'll be years before we see another like him.
You didn’t have to wait long…Jonas Vingegaard is the same, from obscurity to the the top of the world in his mid 20’s.
We only had to wait a few years
And now we learn that Cobo was doping during the 2011 Vuelta when Froome came 2nd, so Froome actually won. Even more impressive.
so froome actually beat cobo in the mountain, would've won the vuelta if he wasnt riding for wiggins, while everyone else was left in the dust. and froome's performance isnt suspicious in the slightest when the only guy that could keep up was doped?
he's doping too, only difference is he didn't get caught yet.

Great to see a champion with humility!!!
Best cyclist since Merckx, will definitely go down as a legend in sport
Wonderful person , great sportsman, very good short film! It is time may be to write a book, Chris.
vicdn3 he already has an autobiography no?
The story of his mother brought me to tears

Wonderful documentary, many thanks for posting. A very exciting period for British cycling.
What a great documentary really enjoyed it..Some man is Chris

sure, he was just human before that Vuelta; I wonder what has happened
*Apparently* he fixed his asthma and his glandular like fever *cough cough*
Froome is one of the top 10 sports people of the 2000's. You can put him in the same bracket as Bolt, Messi etc.
Yes I agree 100%. He is an elite athlete
Chris Froome is a real fighter!
It is June 23, 2018 and I really hope he will be cleared of an drug abuse charges. I really do like that guy. Class!

4 times winner and counting......incredible!
Damn... He wont be on Salbutamol anymore. Do he win 5th time?
Let's see dude! I'm so curios on that Tour de France.
Good luck for Movistar btw.*
With the same "program" : Lance is 7 times winner...
Froome is Lance 2.0. In some years we'll see him confess at Oprah's.

its just something about how they raise kids in south Africa and Africa in general that makes great road cyclist
Morungaro.... The Straight One, such a great character Froome. This documentary summed it all up... now I am even a bigger fan of Chris Froome 💪❤️
Six years later, he got that Red Jersey!

9:39, now we know where he learned to tuck.
Awesome
Damn thats one tough man!
Comparing Froome and Armstrong at the final stretch of a race should put to bed any speculation that they're similarly fueled.
Valerie Halliwell Yep judges do base evidence and cases off coincidences
well Armstrong is in another league to Froome. hes much better.
could still both be cheating, just armstrong is better at baseline
This goes deep
