Spore Druid Multi-Class - Build & Gear

- This is to be regarded as a template for my Spore Druid solo honour mode run. It might end up a tad different after playing the game and find potential weaknesses, but this is what intend to level up and gear her with. Enjoy!

Please note that I have not tried this build yet. I think it will fit my play-style but I do not know how good/bad it'll be. We shall see! 💀
You should make some new lore like how the last one was “knight of Tiamat” you could make this build something else cool and theme the tav/appearance after it!

If you want to be good in melee and have con proficiency you go 1 level in fighter starting and take defense, two weapon fighting or dueling if you’re using shields instead of dual wielded which opens you up for another ASI. Very powerful build. Two wizard levels works perfectly for necromancy and the danse macabre as well with the staff of cherished necromancy. This build has everything you need.
@@maximillianjayphoenix Hey, sounds like fun! I aim on running Necromancer after Spore so I don't wanna make it too similar, although it probably is quite similar 😅

You will have so much fun - spike growth is Druid's HoH and the best of it all: once you summon your little dryad it can summon spike growth for you. I am really looking forward for this. 👍
Oh I really hope so! I've been getting quite a few questions about bard too (which is a class i severely dislike for no real reason) so I'm contemplating trying to speed-run/yolo run it parallel.
That spell is crazy strong for a level 2
I always felt like druids were weird but seeing the abilities makes me think they have to be one of the most unique classes in a good way

Druids are really fun to play! They lack ranged attacks, and are summoner/controller focused, so if you’re okay with working around that (hence FL’s Drow for handXbow prof.) go for it!
HandXbows, duel-wielded with Symbiotic Entity, shoot for 2-12 each @ L2, so very, very early game.
Making heart eyes at your choice of spore druid, might just kiss it
I'm uploading my first video as I write this. Ended up with 20 ac on level 2, so I guess that's alright :). I'm a lot more worried about concentration with this build, going to need careful positioning. The warlock had stupidly good con saves in the end :)

Evocation's spell sculpt doesn't work on most of our aoes right?
Only on evocation as you say but we do get some from Druid too.
Kithari is back! but greener. interested in seeing how the druid plays! never play druids myself, aside from top rope cheesing grym

I don't know how many skills affect play (outside dialogue skill checks). Why are you taking skill proficiency in medicine?
Thorn whip was useful for me in pulling archers off of rafters and high ground, causing them to take fall damage and lose high ground bonuses while bringing them in reach of melee attacks.
Oh I just felt it was fitting. Few skills really matter as you say.
I like that with thorn whip. Will try to navigate people down into their doom :D

Looking forward to it! I see another Reverberation oriented playthrough, at least for an act or two :D. It's such a satisfying effect, to see them drop on their back and just eat damage.
Also, I don't like starting a class I never played mid game and as I have so far never picked a druid, I never really played with them, apart from having Halsin or Jaheira for their respective quests. So I'm happy you picked a druid so I can see what it looks like :D.

I'm the same, I want to experience new stuff from low level to learn the class. Otherwise it's really overwhelming

bhaalist armor works with insect plague, might be a fun build to try maximize the value from that aoe while staying at the edge to not get hit

Spore Druid is so much fun.
Will you get level 6 spells with this multiclass? Because Hereos Feast is incredible. Summon your friends and pop Hereos feast, boom, all immune to poison. Spam cloud kill at will and they are unaffected by it. Just wrecked the githyanki ambush in Elfsong with this combo.

It will get a level 6 slot but not a spell. It might be better to go 11/1 but I wanted to see if this worked good since I like the idea of just being able to throw stuff wherever I want. Undeads should be unaffected by cloud kill though ?
@@FriendlyLich correct. Moonbeam is your go to spell in act 2. In wrecks the shadow cursed guys. Also Blood of Lathander is very helpful and druids are proficient.
Watch the moonbeam though as in some areas of the cursed lands it doesn't work 100% of the time. Don't know if it is a bug or by design. Concentration breaks immediately.
Ouch that's weird! It does really sound like a bug though? I'll try it out once/if I get there and see if I can get it to not work prior to starting combat.
@@FriendlyLich I think it is by design as the shadow curse is heavier in some areas and radiant dmg is affected. Not sure though.

I just finished my drunken paladin (oathbreaker 2, hunter 5, old one warlock 5 - drunk ammy and drunk 2h hammer) run, was planning to do a necro/spore multi for next but you just convinced me that this is a much cooler idea. I am so playing this. I am not good enough or patient enough to solo, even honour mode i still play for story, and this time my evil team dark urge run needs minthara, astarion, and shadowheart.
I was first planning on running that too (necro/spore) but since I want to do a necromancer run at some point I decided to do something different. Drunken paladin sounds like a fun time :)
ive always been intrigued by spore druid but i havent done much with it, only played around a bit in act 3. this build looks so cool, excited to see the low level gameplay!
Me too, first serious try with druid so going to see how it turns out. Already had to restart once! 😅

I create them with the Bing image “ai”
I’m remembering when I fought priestess guts once, she used a whip spell to pull down the statues in the goblin temples main area (between Roah, her room and Volo’s cage).
I imagine thorn whip probably has a few places where it can be used like that to bring the environment down on the enemies. Hope you try that out for one fight!

I would try going in necro wizard, as you can spam necromancy spells with life essence harvest. This will keep you pretty healthy on top of the temp HP from spore druid
I was contemplating that but the main drawback is that it's so late in the game. I might end up revisiting that though if I feel too squishy by then :)
