It’s so I reliably get my full attack on my turn. Opening with a normal attack would mostly only allow me to attack once.

@@FriendlyLich to be fair, the first three times any Gith in that fight took their 'second wind' they healed themselves for just 3 or 1hp respectively. ☺ or 24:57 Vu'un missing you three times in a row.

I don't have a leveling guide, but to summarize it it goes something like this. Do most of first map (skip owlbear, barn, auntie, gith patrol) until i hit lvl 5, go to underdark and get a sussur weapon+lenores tower+mindflayer quest. Go kill auntie and get that +1 then wrap up map 1. Down to the underdark (this is also here i go shopping in the Creché if i need some key item) and clean that out, grymforge and then creché. I don't have a fixed strat to level but roughly that's how I approach it. Hope that helps!

@@FriendlyLich iirc, I saw you wielding Lenore's staff at lv4 in earlier runs (the Necromancer run?). I was so impressed my Gith wizard went there using enormous jumps and feather fall at lv3 (solo but only Tactician mode). didn't matter as there was no fighting. the earth rumbled once but he vacated the spot before anything reared its head. 😅

I did play around a bit with that but was unable to shadow step due to the light it shines. Which unfortunately rules it out since I don't want to keep switching weapons every time I want to step. I really like the weapon though but will have to use it on another run. Thanks!

I just didn’t feel like it this time, was hoping to get him early and try to avoid the duergar killing as well. Gloves is just for the armor yeap! Very welcome about blink, awesome spell if you’re not concentrating on a spell (it breaks if you pop out of existence). Gith wizard sounds like a lot of fun! I used the bulette with Glut last run, it’s a lot of fun! You still die if your character gets down so I’d say that it counts! Also, more important it’s fun :) Oh yea deflecting missiles does not cost ki (only reaction) returning the arrow does though.

I wish I could claim that I did 😅, but honestly it was just coincidence. I did however hope anyone of em would walk beneath it, so I was paying attention for it during the fight. I just like to do it the hard way once in awhile, that’s all

I am but I’m under the impression that if you attack with it turned off then you cannot turn it on until next turn. This might be wrong though! It’s just something I (for some reason) talked myself into. 😅

If you have the reaction toggled to ask, you can turn the offhand attack on before slecting yes to it. ​@FriendlyLich

Hah yeah, it's bound to happen so as you say, nice to have it done! I was expecting the entire encounter to start there with the first fella, but was pleasantly surprised to take that one out solo first. Makes life easier, those berserkers can make life tough fast.

It was kinda surprising tbh, never seen that 'move' before

So I hit the “go to camp” button slightly before the character even get before the idol, allowing the last thing the character do before getting teleported to pick it up. I’d advise to just practice a bit where you can save/load until you nail it. Good luck!

@@FriendlyLich My problem was how to do those two things at the same time, picking up the idol AND press the Go To Camp button. But after watching it for about 20 times I noticed you click the Idol before you go up the stairs. Is that the trick?

Unfortunately not before 6, preferably 7. I’d either play eldritch knight or mono wizard up to that point.
