We live in a society today, where everyone wants to make everyone gay or lesbian - the Disney Studios today is a prime example of turning everything gay even cartoon characters. BUT... to be Honest about it: There is NO Real Hard Evidence that Maude Adams was a lesbian. It may be true - but Maude Adams burned all her correspondences and personal letters - including any love letters she may have had.
Just because a person has a life long friend, does not automatically make them gay or a lesbian - in spite of how much as some people would like it to be.
Now... it may be true, or not, that Maude Adams had a sexual relationship with Louise Boynton. But the love of a sexual life style like homosexuality, or lesbianism, or transgenderism (as the Disney Studios has, and other people have) should not create a sexual relationship that really does not exist without real evidence.
Sometimes a friend is just a friend.
But... if you do have REAL evidence: Produce it!! I'd really like to see it.
    Otherwise it is just speculation.
    Lets be honest about it.

Now why am I not surprised they missed that out! She and her long time partner. Louise Boynton are buried together. She is an LGBT icon and became famous once she left Salt Late City and went to her Mother, Jennie Adams, in San Francisco and begged to go back into acting. Truth is dependent on the message.
