It's amusing how the cop seemed more interested in the practice of magnet fishing than the gun at first.
Eh, gotta confront somebody with a gun every day, but the opportunity to magnet fish doesn't come around every day
Maybe he found a way to make his job easier and more exciting
I love how the police are participating in something and bonding with the public . That’s how you create a good relationship.
Yeah, plus this is a bit less illegal than some of the things I've done with off duty cops. We used to smoke pot with one officer.
Sawed. Off. Shotguñ. 0r. Rifle. 🐼
@Rebecca N It's the one's who forget they are "regular people,* that are the issues 😒😂 I actually enjoy running into "seasoned* the cops who don't ticket every little thing...they are almost too chill 😂😂
@Rebecca N Exactly. I think we need those ol Irish cops like back in the day lol They see a scuffle pull the two apart and tell them keep away from each other or u both can fight downtown...idk if these new cops are just too scared to make decisions on their own or they are obligated when being on camera...either way half of these BS crimes, that don't even result in jail time, can be resolved on the street and shouldn't even make it to a courtroom. They should focus more on CPS cases and reported assaults that end up with an innocent life being put in danger smh #nojusticejustus
You act like they are not human, cops are people that chose a particular JOB for a living. People!!!!
Cops were like "How can we extend this call as long as possible" lol chill cops.
hell yeah I'd stall too. the paper work on this has to be long and tedious
This was probably the chillest call they have ever gotten in that shithole of a town
@@quillclock Ehh, depends if they get any numbers off it.
3:25 As a PC technician, hearing Dani calling Lenovo "Leveal" hurt me on a spiritual level.
Same. Was asking myself if he never had seen a Lenovo charger before
same
I have a Lenovo laptop myself, and it was hurting my ears when I heard ,,Leveal''
Me when I make being a technician my only personality:
Same, Lenovo is such a big company, I cant imagine not imagine that he has not heard of lenovo!
Ok these officers are awesome. Talk about community service. And the way he helped him when he cut his thumb. I love how super respectful they were.
Ya! If there is a random call and you guys can end up hanging out and talking about hobbies and have fun that is what I enjoy about officers. There is only 5% of cops that rude and shouldn't be a cop. that 5% is alot though and that 5% is always shown on media..
@@FetamWoW Except they usually don't show that 5% on the media, they show perfectly normal police work and spin to be much worse than what it actually is.
@@FetamWoW etc he c hymn web I've firming is nun dumb m McNutt run TTFN
But they also seem like not the brightest candles on the cake.
Talk about stupid people you pull the tape off that could have finger prints and even more stupid the cops smashing it 😒 instead of putting it in a evidence bag making it harder for the forensics to do there job
I love how you and the police 👮♀️ worked together so they had a better understanding of what magnet fishers are trying to do. Keep up the good work ❣️
That officer is pretty cool, I about lost it when he said, "It is in that lake because someone bust a cap in someones ass!"
Two very community police officers who had the right attitude and what a great representative of their police force. I bet they will be taking more interest in this hobby in the future. Thank you guys for making this a great experience for everyone.
I think there is a certain officer who is going to be spending his free time around some bridges! Seriously, officers should have a magnet grapple combo in the patrol vehicle. They could comb crime scenes, missing persons cases near water, all sorts of stuff!
I just pictured police with a giant comb at crime scenes thinking about spaceballs.
Wat
They send down divers first with cameras as eyes.
@@Mike1Lawless comb the desert 😂😂
@@Mike1Lawless yup, I knew what you were talking about before you said spaceballs😂
Can we just all take a moment to appreciate how this man is clearing a river.
It pissed me off when that power brick came out since you know there is a lithium ion battery in the water attached to a laptop. People that throw crap off bridges like this should get thrown in with it...
My father was a detective & was popular in our community. He interacted just like these cops did when something like this was going on... I so appreciate law enforcement who are down to earth & their egos are NOT bigger than their brains. These cops are my kind of cops.
Just sitting here seeing you handling all this rusty metal and thinking: 'You really should wear some gloves'. And then came the part were he got a cut.
I was thinking the same thing watching him rake his hand over the magnet. AND, hope they all have had tetanus shots in the last 10 years. I’m sure that’s been mentioned before.
Hopefully all those car parts were dumped and not part of some entire car under there. I’ve been watching too much Adventures With Purpose. 🤷
@@juliabrown5396 I’m pretty sure it’s a whole car that went in and fell apart cuz it looked like there pulling up parts of the frame.
camera man painfully watching cop drag his $100 rope up, over and across the concrete railing: '...here let me help you out' 🤣
Dani: "we have a gun"
Cops: "fucking magnets, how do they work?"
Damn man, you just made me spray capri sun all over my macbook.
I just find it funny how the cops are surprise and amazed at the same time, because it’s not every day you find something like that at the bottom of a river.
“Bust a cap in somebody ass” 🤣🤣🤣 I like this cop dude he chill
*cop pulls up*
Dani: “we have a gun”
Probably not the best thing to say to a police officer 😂

10:11 you can see the egg shaped lobs letting you know it’s a cam shaft. It’s used to push open and closed the valves in the cylinder of a engine.
such good eye through all that gunk
Was coming here to say this. There's definitely a whole car in there
That actually looks fun. I'd like to try that myself. And what a great way to clean out the waters. That crown? I would keep it. What a cool find.
Try it
@@danidip
I looked into costs and found a 500lb set available. Had hook rope gloves, everything, for $20. $35 for the 700lb magnet set. I didn't realize it was so cheap to buy what you needed for this hobby. I just might go ahead and try it after all.

That cop is so intrigued lol I bet he goes and buy a magnet this weekend lol
It makes my heart feel so good seeing the police and the community working together God bless these officers they were so cool and even tryed the magnet prayers to them and there family :)
The metal train piece you found is a rail anchor, it keeps the rail from moving across the wood part of the tracks. It attaches to the bottom side of the rail.
Thank you! I don't magnet fish but I do walk the rails and I love to collect interesting pieces of metal to use for rustic decor. I have a bunch of these and Ive been wondering what they're actually used for.
That was great community policing. Kudos to the officer. Great video brother.
Glad you enjoyed
Happy Anniversary
Bikini and your
Yea its awsome to watch
Sawed off, shorty, bolt action rifle lol. Someone was having a felony day out there!!!
Haha I swear.
they should consider hiring a magnet fishing squad to find stuff like this, really does help with getting evidence and finding deadly stuff that needs to be taken care of
That is the best interaction with cops I have ever seen!
Those Officers definitely passed the Vibe Check!!!
I know right
I do believe you have contributed to getting the officer addicted. Man he was cool! Nice video.
That's awesome seeing an officer doing this. I've been watching 1st depths of history then others for a long time then just found your channel. I'd love to do this but in Ontario Canada our creeks/rivers are so clean lol.
I believe that 10:04 is a camshaft for an engine. 20:30 is a blower motor from a car heater/AC unit. That's what pushes the air through the system. Also sometimes reffered to as a "squirel cage".
All the large metal pieces are parts of the front end of a car
I'd guess theres a ditched car down there, maybe with Jimmy Hoffa in the trunk!.
You know what these officers will be doing on their time off 😆. Great job cleaning up the lake and kudos to the officers. Thank you for showing we have some really cool cops out there.
Kudos to the Gary police Dept ,this is what its all about , great video guys.
I'm impressed. Nice cops. One of them tried the magnet. He even looked like he might like it. And everyone is having a human time :) Meaning in the moment,, no power trips.. LOVE IT
That cop was getting excited, his investigatory instincts were tingling… you could almost hear the bloodhounds
I must say this was one of my favs. The officer enjoyed himself
This was the best because the cops was having fun you know they coming back to look for those guns for that house. Be cool of they included you guys!
In real life the police never opened the case again all they did was put it in the evidence locker and left it.
Love the police being involved. And trying it out and giving some positive interaction with them.
with all car parts y'all find you could literally build a whole car.
Where was definitely a car down there at one point. It's just deteriorated so much their pulling up pieces
@@nightshadekelly
Probably multiple vehicles across the years. You could make one hell of a Frankenstein vehicle outta the parts!
In fact, that'd be cool if they kept the various parts to see just how long it'd take to part out a vehicle from waterways, for added content.
But why build a Ford?
This is cool. I've seen quite a few magnet fishing videos and alot of guys find firearms, but you HAVE to cover your butt when it comes to things like that because you NEVER know when one of those firearms were used to commit multiple homicides or robberies.
Where I am all of them have been
@@danidip Hell yeah brother. Good work and it's always good to see you all working together to try to assist the law enforcement community to put evidence to a cold case. You never know when you'll find something pertinent to an ongoing investigation.
These are some of the coolest cops I've ever seen.
Those “train things” are railroad ties, they hold the rails to the sleepers, (the wooden blocks under the metal beams)
You're the first magnet Fisher I've seen with a grappling hook. It's a great idea. I have a magnet.. where did you get the grappling hook?
Check his description
several magnet fishers have a grappling hook, they arent that expensive and they say it helps with heavier items. "the fisher" uses a magnet and a hook
No telling how old that car is that you're pulling parts off of is. Might solve an old missing person's case, ya never know.
It gary indiana stolen car capital of world lol
he just drags up a body wrapped around a piece of metal
I really appreciate the the cops show up and they are really cool! They showed interest in what you were doing and even give it a try! That is very awesome! Props to them cops!
Your "crown" is a piece off an old lamp; in the 1920's, they were common on most oil lamps.
"umm, I make UA-cam videos for UA-cam"
what a way to introduce yourself... Lol
" There's tape on the stock that means it was definitely involved in a home invasion". Huh
U are a brave man for willingly standing still in Gary Indiana with ur go pro and equipment very dangerous place. Cops willingly let u break laws so u don’t get robbed or shot. Been there about 6 times and have witnessed 2 murders. My family lives near the area and everyone knows not to go near it if u don’t have to
I love what you are doing! You are a role model, not only for American people, but for every single human in the whole world. You basically sacrifice your time to free rivers from junk and potentially dangerous stuff!!!
I'd keep the guns and sell them back to the cops at those " gun buy backs"
" No questions ask, right".
Haha I could
One of the guns could solve a murder. I couldn't take that risk and sell it.
Scared of a craw dad but not tetanus lol
@@Neilukuk I don't know how much they care about solving murders with that kind of evidence if they officer is just smacking it against the barrier like that.
@@Neilukuk what evidence do you think you're gonna pull off a hunk of barely recognizable rust?
Good tip wear gloves, unless you wanna lose a finger or hand to tetnus from rusty metal
Got to wear gloves doing this!!
don't vaccination take care of that?
Those gloves make a big bang.
The police called us over to check a prisoner one night (Fire Department). It was probably 3AM. After we determined the prisoner was fine, I was going past the radio room. Several officers were standing around talking. I took my glove off, blew into it, and twisted it closed. Then squeezed. When that thing went "BANG!", they all came off the floor. 🤣. Yeah, firefighters are pranksters.
The excitement you guys have for pulling up garbage kept me watching
“That’s a gear right there”no thats a camshaft
Definitely
I said the same the same thing
Need to find the shade tree machanic throwing his old parts in the water
I also LOVE watching magnet fishing, for not only are you cleaning the water source, it can help find clues, solve cases, etc!
The hub cap is from a truck, it covers the central nut. Weirdest thing I ever found was either a hearing aid or a fishing rod which had a fish attached. The fish had passed the hook and sinker but had the line running right through its body.
wear gloves, gentlemen!! protect your hands and yourselves!!!!
They do just not thing video
I also like magnet fishing what type of gloves do we need
@@cjsingsandthings3119, good water repellent ones with a safety grip. Go to a truck stop and look at what truckers use. It just something to protect you hands from sharp objects and nasty germs.
That “crown” most likely came off a big pillar candle . Like decorative piece to go around it . 👍🏼
Actually, if they keep fishing, they will eventually pull up the body of The Burger King
@@INFRINGE_audio , Your way , Right Away ! LMBO
when you find a cam shaft in a river with a bunch of other parts is making think that there is a car or truck of some sort under there and you guys are pulling everything up slowly.
Hey Dani!
Your channel is really cool and entertaining. I like that you're not loud and obnoxiously trying to hype up the audience over every little thing you find, like some other UA-camrs.
You sure find some awesome and neat things, and you kinda clean out the rivers, super cool bro. Keep up the good work.
Dani fun trip looks like the police took quite an interest.
This was pretty good video, I just found your channel. Nice to see cops taking an interest in what you guys are doing!!
Criminals worst enemies are magnet fisher 😂
That cop was so into it lol good for him
"Train thing" is a railorad tie anchor. it keeps the sleeper from drifting from the rail
Yes finally someone else knows
Lol I love how the cops are so into magnet fishing
This is my favorite channel now. You guys are awesome for cleaning up the water
Everyone knows when you break into a house with your sawed off 270 if you dont have electrical tape on the grip its not technically a home invasion.
Investigator, two weeks later :
"Nice try gentleman,... Although it was an elaborate scheme, we know exactly why your fingerprints are really on those guns. Put your hands behind your back."

That gun u found is called an Orbez bolt action it’s similar to the mosin nagit but no stock
Lol an obrez is just a sawed off mosin nagant, that looks like a cooey or something
Cut down Marlin Goose Gun?
Looks more like the old marlin bolt action shotgun.
6:24 “yes, we have a gun.” Could have said that a little better lol
I died when that cop said " somebody threw a whole deer in the water! ". LMFAO..... Wow
Awesome video Dani Great finds!!
that second barrel piece looks like it could go to an mp40 grease gun or some old German infantry gun
The amount of car parts he has ever fished can probably build a whole car💀
10:03 that's a camshaft it looks like, it's a part of a car that makes the pistons go up and down
Where is your gloves
Great finds today Dani. Keep up the great work you do cleaning out the water. Stay safe and well my friend.
Thank you
I like your idea of pairing the grappling hook with the magnet. Brilliant.
The lesson here is that any gun you find while magnet fishing that has tape on the butt was definitely used in a home invasion. OK, I got it.
Crazy how much stuff is in our waterways!
It's so crazy
The chair and computer charger were shocking tbr
@Dani Dip , It’s called a Rail Clip . There are multiple types used . 👍🏼
Finally I know the right name
happened to me for something too. I'm so sorry you had that much time taken from you bro.. This boils me in pure rage that this shit happens to so many ppl. This country has ZERO morality.
At 14:00 the cop actually looked as if he was waiting for a bite. 😆
Looking forward to seeing you back at that bridge again soon. Hopefully find some more guns and things. Rob from the 🇬🇧
Just because it has tape on it doesn’t mean it was used in a home invasion? Tape is actually really popular because it helps you keep grip of the gun.
You creepy and smart at the same time
@Austin Rideslol my pfp is a meme, search up when the imposter is sus
But why would it be in a body of water
@@forbidedits7574 the owner would throw it in the lake to get rid of any evidence.

my dad once found a whole stereo system to a car it was crazy
I think that is so cool what you guys r doing cleaning the water and plus finding things. good luck.
I was rolling when the cop threw it in and was like when do you know if you catch something he was looking at the rope like something is going to swim and catch it 🤣 🤣 🤣
Looks like your fishing the little Calumet River. You should follow that river towards Illinois. I know quite a few spots that you would find productive. I grew up along that river in Illinois and can tell you quite a few spots they dump things in that river.
U know the exact street or road that is
