I wish I knew how you referenced the old grey paint layout. My painter is about to do it and has to use your video as reference to lay the Grey over the white on my 80 pace car
They didnt pull it off. Factory paint jobs back then and before were known to be fairly sketchy and didnt last long on alot of cars. Repaints in the 80s and 90s typically came out better and lasted longer. Attention to detail and the progression of paint products helped a bunch. And todays paints and products are even better. It's all came a long ways.
Good afternoon, beautiful paint work. And dust free. What is the purpose of the green floor covering in your paint booth? Always enjoy your videos. You take care.
Thanks for the video great job
Awesome
Waiting to see the end result! Great job Dudes!

Excellent to detail job. I cant imagine how the factory pulled this attention to detail off back then. Seems impossible !

Thanks Steve! The green you see there is a removable lining that we pull up and replace once it gets too dirty.
Would there be a difference in color of car when painted using white epoxy primer vs using black like GM did when they painted those cars?
