Wow....this literally just happened to me. I talked to a man for 7 months and we were both believers and he was a great guy and he even came to meet me in person (we originally met online) BUT then he never wanted to comit to a relationship but he always wanted to "keep talking and get to know me better" I just ended everything because I was emotionally attached to him by that point but it seemed to be going no where
Did you ask him what he wanted ?
@@Standingfirmly1 Yes multiple times and he definitely wantes more than friendship with me as well but once again a few days ago after we had been talking for nearly a year and a half now, he's still sand that he isn't ready so I basically told him that I will not talk to him anymore unless he's ready for marriage but in the mean time we are not speaking.
This happened to me as well!I had to cut it because I was definitely getting attached emotionally.

PERFECT TIMING!! Thank you so much for talking about this, especially toward the second half way. Been talking to a guy who believes everyone is saved yes including atheists, Buddhists, etc. He also believes that no one is born a sinner because JESUS already died on the cross, in addition to that living righteously/godly doesn’t matter because we’re saved by grace, AND he dismisses everything else written in the Bible if the verse doesn’t specify “JESUS/GOD said”. The puzzling thing is that he says he has a ministry like opening a church and stuff. I’m praying to GOD to stop doing biblical debates with him.

@@horschiday9449 A person who goes to church and says: everyone is saved yes including atheists, Buddhists, etc is someone i would distance myself from. It also depends if someone is a Christian for shorter or longer than a year. Someone shorter than a year can use some grace, but nonetheless he or she would and should never be marriage material. Also sounds like someone who will pick and choose what they like in the bible and sooner or later will do stuff that goes against the bible but will justify it by twisting the bible. Later in life You will have stressfull nights with someone like that. Not worth it.

I can say that I agree about the thing about having a parent try to run your household cause I had noticed that my cousin was with a girl who I didn't like I knew that she was crazy cause of the simple fact that when they was talking they we're always fighting. What if the person is from the same denomination but they have different like views when it comes to something like holiness ? Like a UPC vs PAW or PCAF thing.
I think it depends on the situation. Somethings can be compromised with. I believe in head coverings but not everyone does, I don’t think it would be something that would get in the way. I don’t celebrate Christmas or Easter, that’s something I cannot compromise with. So if you feel like you can deal with it then it shouldn’t be a problem. But don’t go against what you’ve been taught.
@@keepitapostolic. well said, what you said makes a lot of sense and addresses my question. I think it comes down to both sides being open minded enough to making it work despite those differences. And I think a key part of that is not forcing the other side to shift because of a “I’m right and you’re wrong attitude”. Tolerance would be important in a situation like the one my question depicts.
@@keepitapostolic. I’m a believing man and I don’t celebrate holidays either. I know there are other people out there that also believe the same way we do…. But it’s just hard to find.

@@keepitapostolic. Yea I actually have met a few people throughout my life that also believe what I believe in regards to that though. My campus pastors actually don't believe in celebrating holidays as well. But they are under a senior pastor that does celebrate holidays. But my question to you tho is this:
How do you go about family situations, because a lot of family gatherings are during holidays. Would you and your significant other not attend family gatherings on Christmas, Easter, and/or Thanksgiving? What if family is very important to the both of you? Is attending those family gatherings the same thing as celebrating the holiday?
These are just a few questions that I have thought about. I would like to hear someone who has the same beliefs as me to answer them. Maybe I can get another perspective.

Can i get some sound advice please. There's a guy I like and he likes me. But I'm not sure if he's God's will for my life. I pray and have prayed that remove the feelings we both have for each other if he's not the one but the feelings just keep getting stronger. What do I do ??
Sounds like you could be scared of these feelings? If tgey keep getting stronger after you've prayed, ask mentors or mature people close to you if he seems like a godly person who will obey God in everything. If they say yes, then pursue, go at the pace you are comfortable with though.

There has been times where I prayed for GOD to remove feelings I had for someone I wasn’t so sure about, even for those I thought I was “sure” they were the “one”, but instead GOD opened my eyes to see the red flags. Regardless of how strong the feelings were, they died out coz I learned it wasn’t GOD’s will.
@@horschiday9449 I get where you're coming from as well. There's no red flags as silly as it sounds. But this has been ongoing for 2 years now 🙃
