Girl every time you start a project out with “I want to be finished in a day” I be like…. “Oh no” 😭🤣 These pieces came out so gooood! Love that you can wear them together or separate. Also look at you saving a duvet cover from the landfill and giving it another life, yassss! Go off sis!
Lmao a girl can dream!!!!! I truly love these piece so much!!! So happy I continued on to finish them 💕 yeah I’ve been trying really hard to finish all of my thrift flip projects and I think I will continue this!!
I'm so proud of you! And I'm glad you're learning a lot from all these trials and tribulations. I just want to point out some tips for next time. You absolutely can and should mix sizes! If you're a small in the chest and a medium in the waist, for example, you just fudge the lines to eachother as you trace the pattern. And when you're in the fitting stage, there is nothing wrong with having some parts be a 1.5cm seam allowance and other parts a 1cm seam allowance, either on different seams, or even along the same seam. You do whatever you have to in order to get it fitting the way you want. There are really only three rules in garment sewing: press your seams, finish your seams, and take your time. Everything else is flexible.
I really love watching your sewing videos. Unfortunately I was not sewing anything this year due to lack of inspiration, busy daily life and I have already so many clothes. My dream would be a house with a sewing room, with enough space to store fabric nicely and a big table for the sewing machine❤
You work so hard and you are so tenacious! Also I am so dramatic compared to you I would have cried and screamed about the iron burn but you are quietly singing a little love that for me song! It’s worth it it looks wonderful xxx
Omggg love it so cute, you had me laughing crying during your sewing trials hahaha but end result is amazing. Enjoyyy and wishing you a fun trip with yo mama❤
I used to create my own costumes so I know sewing can be really hectic. But you film and you edit videos, too. Girl, are you sure you only have 1 body? You work sooo haaaard. Don't worry, I'll always watch your video for you. 💗💗
thank you so much!!! Oh I have a super old video on how to do it yourself- it's under like braid scarf milkmaid hair tutorial- if you wanna check it out!
i just bought a secondhand serger for 50 euros. it was difficult to figure out but that would have happened with a new one as well. the main things that did wonders for me was cleaning the entire thing including the tension disks, putting in new needles and oiling the machine (look up the manual for it online). and now its working fine! still got a ✨ personality ✨, but it feels so much better than having wasted like 350 euros on one. machines were so good and sturdy back in the day so second hand stuff is still so good!
Girl I feel like you jinx yourself every time you say "this is going to be the easiest part" 😭 love how it turn out ❤ I also wonder if you are going to try any crochet project since your mama does crochet pieces
What is something I can make with sequenced velvet or lace fabric? I was cleaning out my fabric stash, I have heaps of those fabrics. As well as things to thrift flip. (I’m still working on my puffer jacket). I’ve decided I’m going to make a digital catalog, to track what fabrics I have, and how much I have of it. I also live for these videos!!
I love both pieces! I love the bloomers as well, apparently I already had the pattern saved on etsy lol, but I like the elastics more on it! Are they included in the pattern or did you add it yourself?
Pink is such your color !!!!!!!!! LOVE THIS !
Pink is deffo everyone’s color! Just gotta find the right shade / tint!!

It's so cool to see you keep going even when a project doesn't come out exactly right at the beginning and I'm a fan of the final results 🤩🤩🤩

those extra flaps around the arm pit generally mean you need to do an fba. or on already made garments, a dart can help soothe them

That’s a brilliant idea, off to borrow it immediately xx
I think making those ruffle lace scrunchies would be cute! Look it up on Pinterest for inspo! I think a brand that does this is called good squish??

Oh nice!!! No no I just added it in. Used the patterns for the shorts. Thought and hoped it would be enough fabric to shirr it and it was so yay!
