Start with Why...
Welcome to Keep Rolling, I'm Chris Chadwick and on this channel I'm making videos about aggressive and big wheel inline skating. I'm making product reviews, skate vlogs and discussion of all things blading, so if that sounds like something that interests you be sure to hit subscribe.
I've been skating for 20 years and started this channel with 3 main aims:
1. To keep people enthused and active in skating
2. To be a positive and approachable ambassador for our sport
3. Make a positive contribution to the digital footprint of inline skating.
I love to skate and want to see the industry continue to thrive and grow. I hope my channel can inspire people to pick up skates or feel enthused to get out more often.

Disclaimer
Inline Skating is dangerous and can result in serious injury or death. I fully recommend the use of full protective gear to reduce the risk of injury. Skate at your own risk. You are responsible for your actions while skating or attempting to implement the guidance in one of my tutorials. Sometimes i choose to skate without protective gear at my own risk.

Very good step by step explanation, thank you very much! thumbs up and subscribed 👍
Love it chris. Keep up the good work
Great tutorial! You articulated everything perfectly 👍
Thanks bro! Put a lot of thought into this one 🤔
Great tutorial! A wealth of great info to learn that o so important grind! Nice work!
Thanks man! Brought back some great memories of learning to grind 😁
Really helpful as always Chris 👏🏼 somehow soothing too! 🤣
Haha thanks man! Maybe its the Mrs new Highland themed living room decore giving it a weekend away type vibe 🤣🥃🏴
@@chrischadwick1 haha I legit thought about the amazing decor, I thought you maybe filmed it in Glasgow IKEA?! 🤣
@@RollersReturn haha, nagh im coming at cha from the Norfolk coast! I do love Scotland though. And there skateparks!
Great tutorial. I have just got back into skating after 20 years (man I feel old now) and your videos are a great help. Thanks
Welcome back man! Skating is awesome at the moment so many great products and people coming back in droves! Happy to hear the tutorial was helpful. Any other topics you would like covered in the next one?
Hi@@chrischadwick1 I have promised my kids I will learn a 360 jump so if you have any tips on jumping that would be amazing.
@@michaelannis3862 hi micheal, great idea. I'll add it to the tutorial list! My top tip is use your arms to bring powrr to the rotation and lead the rotation by bringing your head and neck round before the rest of your body
Good stuff m8 live in yarmouth maybe we can hit the park sometime gonna run this today hopefully by the end of the session can do it
Yo! Definitely man, drop ne a message on IG snd we'll arrange a skate👍
Thanks for this! I have been getting a bit better at my soul grind recently. I feel more comfortable with mizou, so getting my non-dominant foot around to the front and changing my body position for soul grinds has been difficult but I'm getting there. The tips in this video are very helpful!
Thanks man, that's awesome to hear. Ive been doing that trick for so long it can be challengjng to imagine the challenges I would face as a beginner. Anything else in there you would have liked more tips on?
@@chrischadwick1 Thanks for your reply. It is difficult when you are very good at something to be able to break it down for a beginner. You did a great job. I like that you promote the step up. Others don't promote that but I think it's a good progression for beginners. Cheers!
@@rollingdubaiguy6415 thats great to hear man. Yeah i think the step-on helps to build up your balance 👍
Can we have a Royal tutorial next please?
Yeah will definitely do one at some point! Thanks for the suggestion 👍
Yoo bro. Can I do this with my freestyle skates by any chance ?
You can often do one footed grinds on freeskates if they have a flat base plate but you need aggressive skates an h block to do a soul grind. Hope that helps
Hey man do you have any tips for holding the grind for a long time?
I find I can jump on ok on low ledges but every time I do my soul foot is kinda slipping off so I never get that much distance on the grind. I'm on cults so it's not a huge soul plate but I'd rather get good on these.
I've got it a few times on a curved ledge where I get quite low and lean forward, but that was more by accident than anything. On a straight ledge I always slip off, all I can manage to do is add more speed to get further but it doesn't feel 'solid'
Hey man, a few tips, first if you want to hold a grind on a ledge make sure your leaning over the obstacle. If your just right on the edge it's hard to hold it.
Second look at the end of the obstacle while your grinding, it helps you to stay on top and stay balanced.
Third go a bit faster, much easier to hold grinds with speed.
Hope that helps man
@@chrischadwick1 thanks for the reply, I think I'm definitely leaning out of the ledge rather than over it which is why I'm slipping off, I'll try and be more conscious of it and combine it with the other tips too, thanks!
@@JR-mr1tw no worries man. Happy grinding 😁
@@chrischadwick1 hey just wanted to say, it worked! Landed some really solid soul grinds and could tell when I was making the difference to lean over. Mizous were ok but definitely improved. Makios I was finding harder to commit to for some reason but I'll keep working on them, cheers man!
@@JR-mr1tw yo! that's so awesome to hear man. I make these videos to be helpful to the skating community, so it's really cool to hear the tips helped. Thanks for letting me know!
