Finally got my hands on aggressive skatings longest frame. The K2 Unnatural frame weighs in at 298mm and rides flat 60mm. Let's check it out!

Welcome to Keep Rolling, I'm Chris Chadwick and on this channel I'm making videos about aggressive and big wheel inline skating. I'm making product reviews, skate vlogs and discussion of all things blading, so if that sounds like something that interests you be sure to hit subscribe.
I've been skating for 20 years and started this channel with 3 main aims:
    1. To keep people enthused and active in skating
    2. To be a positive and approachable ambassador for our sport
    3. Make a positive contribution to the digital footprint of inline skating.
I love to skate and want to see the industry continue to thrive and grow. I hope my channel can inspire people to pick up skates or feel enthused to get out more often.

Dude your videos are looking so good! Wish I grabbed a pair of these when I had the chance. These look like a perfect normal length for your foot size. I feel you on the limited time to make videos now days! Cute kid!

I have a pair back in the U.S. that you can have. I won't be back until wintertime. I might be able to send them to you then. I think you'd like them but my comments above sum up how they are not the right frame for me. I prefer skating flat (or banana rockered) in aggressive skating but these K2 Unnatural frames miss the mark for me. Or I just need to get much much better at aggressive skating! The original Oysi frame seems more forgiving for my level as do my Aeon Basics.

Thanks bro. Yeah I was really happy with how this one came out despite having fairly limited time. I need to find ways to make faster vids in the future. Particularly with the growing family. My problem is I'm obsessed with b roll 🤣

Loving your videos recently, you just need to make more! 😁
Interesting hearing your thoughts as I've had these frames for a while, but am yet to skate them. I got them when I was looking for longer and longer frames and I've gone the other way recently enjoying shorter frames. The wheel cupping has always looked good to me, glad to hear it works!

I have these frames. They came with my K2 Unnatural skates. I like the rocker option since that is how I like to skate. But you are right about having too many options with setting them up. I don't think I am a good enough aggressive skater to appreciate these frames. I get wheel bite and the H blocks feel small to me. But Todd and Joey at Mushroom Blading like these K2 frames and the Unnatural boots and you seem to like them too so they must be a good option for an experienced aggressive skater looking to skate flat with rocker options.

Yeah I second that. Great frames but not very begginer friendly. I've just ordered the 2021 uptowns to go with my nn skates 4x90. Stoked to try em out!

Nice one Chris! I like the look of a longer frame, and was skating the original Oysi frames for a while, but with a UK8 size they were a bit long. I'm getting used to my Fluid Vs on my 909s and will stick with that setup for a while I think. Still got the longer frames though.
The ST10s with Intuitions feel great with my wizard NR90s so will stick with that setup for the time being as well. Made a tiny bit of progress with some wizard moves the other day and then had a dream that I properly figured it out. It was a great feeling until I realized that was just a dream haha. I noticed you were doing more wizard moves in a recent video and heard you say here that you might get yourself a pair for your 30th.

Thanks man! Haha I hope your dream comes true. I sometimes dream I can skate vert and its a crushing disappointment when I wake up 🤣
I love those original oysi I literally ground through my last pair. Need to pick up another set. Have you seen the Thursday / Crawford prime frame walls? There a 72/60 hi lo but 270 mm long. Might be worth a look if you like the original oysi! You've got some sick setups already by sounds of things.
Yeah so I'm getting some NN skates 4x90mm (30th bday present from my wife). ATM I'm putting them on my st8s which my newly acquired intuition liners. I tried to get some k2's instead but there way too narrow. In stoked to try it!

Are K2 boots good for wizard skating?
I have heard that they are. Todd and Joey skated them for a while and they have discussed those setups in their podcasts. I have heard that they are particularly stiff, which I can see now is what you want for wizard skating, but it's gotta be the right kind of stiff. If I had a lot of money, I'd definitely get a pair of the wizard boots when they restock, with that new Wizard Intuition liner. And I would want to try a PR setup. Maybe I'll treat myself next year.

Yo sorry I must have missed this! Sadly I'll never know. I ordered a set buy there way to narrow for my stupid feet! The MB guys seemed to like em though. Yeah I would love to try the official wizard setup. For now I've put intuitions in my st8s. Beautiful!

The k2 rocketing has never come with an instruction manual. I had the uptowns that had that feature stock and ive had a few sets of big and small wheel frames. It's never explained anywhere. There are thousands of possible permutations but realistically only 2 or 3 you would ever want to use.

    • @chrischadwick1
      @chrischadwick1  2 роки тому +1

Yeah it's a great idea but definitely needs some explanation for sure! Maybe I'll make a video so future generations stand a chance of deciphering it. Have you had these frames? What did you make of em? Recently listened to the MB podcast with the x k2 engineer. Really interesting stuff. K2 will always be a corporate company but I think it's good to have businesses with those big R&D budgets in the industry

@@chrischadwick1 yeah I have the same ski length ones, with famus wheels. Amazing frame setup but I'm more of an anti rocker skill level skater and it feels like a travesty to skate them anti. Size 46 though so the length is ideal!
