THANK YOU FOR WATCHING AND BEING WONDERFUL!!!
Friends, I have a couple of notes about the close-up application footage in this video:
1. When I filmed this footage, I had freshly applied the new Rèphr hydration cream (bit.ly/3i9fT5E) and it leaves a very glassy, dewy complexion which translates to whatever you wear over it. These balm and cream foundations are certainly dewy, and the footage is true to life, but please note that my skin looks extra glassy and wet because of how I primed on that day.
2. In the application footage for this video, I applied the Salt New York Sneaky Balm in shade 12 without mixing it with the white shade adjuster. I think you can see this in the footage but I just wanted to clarify. When I use it in daily life, I always mix it with the white Salt New York shade adjuster (about equal parts balm and adjuster), but I wanted you to see the unadulterated finish.
Thank you for watching!
died in my llama not trying so hard to get a job at all
Love your videos they are so informative. Which rephr moisturizer did you use? They have a light or reg. version. I have dry skin so I’m always looking for a very dewy look. Just about tried every foundation that says illumination/dewy without any luck. So which balm foundation gives the best glow/dewy/shine effect? Same with a cream blush. Thanks so much!
Thanks for responding. I just purchased Jones Road wtf and it’s not glowy at all just the miracle balm. I was going to purchase the moisturizer and couldn’t figure out which one you used since they have several. Thanks again.
I never leave UA-cam comments, but I wanted to let you know that you are SO excellent at what you do. I've been following your channel and growth since the 2018 no-buy days and in my opinion, you have never failed or slowed down in your ability to adapt, create, and deliver the most relevant, high quality, true-to-you content. I applaud you!
Oh Christina, I appreciate this so much! It's been an absolutely wild ride, adaptability and staying true are really the name of the game and it requires so many trials, errors, and decisions behind the scenes. It's great to know that you see what I'm trying to do and that it's working on your end 🥰
I agree wholeheartedly!
i agree. she is one of my absolute favorite creators, hands down. her and lauren mae are 💜
High praise indeed! Hannah you must be one hell of a creator, I'm enjoying getting to know it!:
She is always in my top 3 list of favorite creators!
Hannah, you talked recently about how strange and surreal it is to be making beauty content when awful things are happening in the world. Well, today I had some incredibly sad news about a friend and I can say that, now that I’m all cried out and want to just switch off, watching you play with makeup is just the soothing tonic I need. Don’t ever doubt what you do.
Hey, I hope you are okay or at the very least are aware, that someday you will be okay again. I absolutely agree with you. It isn’t Hanna’s job to keep us informed about the world and like most likely all of us she can’t really do something about it but she can help to cheer us up and be a distraction.
sending love
A little off topic but I love the beginning of every video when you say, "I'm glad you're here." It comes across as very genuine and intentional.
I agree and I truly believe she is glad we’re here. It warms my heart.
I was curious about the price breakdown, and I calculated the $/g. Salt New York = 3,76 $/g and the Blunder Cover = 2,95 $/g. I just thought it might help someone decide!
One thing to keep in mind with that kind of calculation is how much of a particular product you will likely use before it goes bad. The Blunder Cover is huge. I could see a world where I would use up the sneaky balm before it went bad but the blunder cover, there’s just no way, not with how I personally choose to apply my makeup. Just need to be realistic with how much and how often you will actually use a product when deciding on a purchase.
@@erinodonnell386 thats a really good point. I woul too see myself being able to pan the sneaky balm but not the blunder cover. I rarely use base products😅
Also, Salt has specials. Buy 3 get 2 free so you need to factor in that it’s usually not full price
I appreciate the no filters! You show us your real skin and it’s beautiful and like my skin. Pores, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles (yay dry skin) so refreshing and makes me feel “normal” and not “imperfect or flawed”
With more balms coming out, I want to see how Blunder Cover, Sneaky Balm, Jones Road Balm, and Wayne Goss’ new balm foundation. They all intrigue me
Do I wear anything other than powder foundation? Nope, not really. But I'm still here for it. The way you break down products is really helpful for me when I feel the need of having something new to pick me up - to look at the pros/ cons and find reasoning. I just bought my first product since Black Friday, and the process of getting there was kinda weird and unsettling, but also helpful. How often I caught myself window shopping online because there was a sale is unreal. But the way I now start to look at and use my collection is weirdly satisfying. A lot of that is thanks to you. I don't have anything to add to balm foundations but I'm here for your expertise. Maybe I'll need it one day and in-depth products reviews are nonetheless really interesting. 😃
A HLP and Kackie video within 5 minutes of eachother? Heck yes! I know what I’ll be doing for three house this evening 🤩
Sneaky balm is the holy grail for me. I wasn't wearing a foundation for a long time because it all looked bad. The sneaky balm still looks and feels like my skin just healthier. Absolute game changer for me. And it wears in beautifully.
I just ordered some and can’t wait to try it. I’m in the same boat where I feel like no matter which prep I do, it all just looks cakey or patchy and despite having dark circles and some mild redness, I think I look better without it. Sneaky balm seems like it’s totally going to be up my alley. For reference, I’m 34 with normal, slightly dry skin.
I’ve had the same experience of turning to lighter and lighter foundations when what I needed was a neutral. I finally realized I was neutral when I stopped dying my hair blonde and let my silver hair grow in. It was an absolute revelation!
You have me very interested in the Sneaky Balm. 😍
I'm really excited to see brands are finally jumping into making cream foundations, considering that this has been popular amongst working makeup artists for so long! Like 10 years ago, I saw Wayne Goss using and raving about cream foundations and I was so obsessed with the concept that I started melting wax into my liquid foundations so that I could use them as cream foundations
Stearic acid and candelilla wax?
@@Hollyhock7 I think at the time I was using beeswax and jojoba oil! I haven't done this in like 10 years though so I really don't remember the amount of anything I used. Though at the time I liked it, in hindsight I'm not really sure if the finished product was good at all or if I just used it up because of it's novelty. Honestly it was more like a fun experiment I did as kid/teenager rather than a way to actually turn my foundations into something more cosmetically elegant.
@@YaddaYaddaYana that's great, I love the innovative spirit!!!!
Yes! Wayne introduced me to Kett ages ago and it still remains a favorite. The Blunder Cover is fantastic, too and I'll be thrilled if/when she releases a shade 3.25 because then it'll be perfect for me. 🤞🏻
Those swatches when you opened your hand to see it next to bare skin....girl that's perfect best most thorough swatches ever
That part was so great to see!!
Even when I don’t need the product, having a review that is so thorough and complete, delivered so elegantly, is unbelievably soothing and satisfying. Thank you for your work, Hannah
Yaaay, a sponsorship. I'm so happy for you 😊
Also, the blunder cover is on my wishlist as a replacement for the rms un-coverup concealer.
Can I ask why you're replacing the un-cover up? I'm using it as a foundation right now and I like it... But it's weird. For the first hour I wear it, it sucks. But about an hour in I catch myself in the mirror and it's perfect. I can't figure out how I feel about it
I came here to comment about the same product. I use RMS Beauty Un Cover Up as an all over touch up. It's potted like a balm and in my experience it sinks right in like the Sneaky Balm with slightly dewy appearance - more like a glow. I'm 46 with combination, hyper-sensitive skin. You're right about balms being the bomb! (sorry couldn't help myself :-)
@@jenniferro10 I have mixed feelings about it too and since mine is getting a bit old I just figured that I'd try a new option. The shade I have (00) is a bit peachy on me and I feel like it doesn't work well with a brush. It's nice after I warmed it up with my fingers though and for now it's doing its job.
@@KaytoCouchPotato i tried that too but the coverage didn't build up enough for me on my under eyes and some PIE that I have on my cheek and chin, unfortunately! I also think it was just a bit TOO emoliant and made my dry skin feel slippy.... Perhaps it was the coconut oil.. Here's hoping that the blunder cover will be THAT bitch for me
Update: I got the blunder cover about a month ago. The shade eins is a much better match for me than 00, lighter and less peachy. The blunder cover is less melty than un-coverup. At first I thought that it might be drying, especially under my eyes, but that's not the case. Plus it means that it is much more buildable. I use it as my all in one base product now, from under eye concealer to overall base product to spot concealer. I use it mostly with my fingers, but it also works well with a buffing brush.
I totally get the "wanting to dip my brush in to a pot of concealer..." I've been using the E.L.F. hydrating camo concealer in two shades combined as foundation and using very little with a damp sponge surprisingly holds up but still looks like skin for me. 💜
Girl! This is PhD dissertation level examination of a group of products!!!! Thank you and bravo!!! Off to order Sneaky Balm!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hey Hannah! Kudos to the quality of your close -up. It really helps appreciate the quality of the product. Not using filters or lighting parameters that hides or blur does make a huge difference in terms of helping me appreciate the performance of a product in real life. In that sense it does make the content you create very pertinent.
I'm so happy you've covered foundation balms and even have a sponsor! You're reviews and thoughts really help me to step back and be more intentional with what I decide to buy.
This is going to call for future comparison with the eventual drugstore offerings! I think L'Oreal or Revlon have one already...
The covergirl and oil of Olay combo balm has been a favorite for us old bitties for years. Actually I’m reminded to pick it up again for the umpteenth time. I haven’t look to see if there was more.
If anyone is on a budget but wants to try a balm foundation, I cannot recommend the cover girl simply ageless foundation in the balm format enough. It is so good, so affordable, and leaping bunny certified.
I've done some research on this foundation because I was confused how it was leaping bunny certified when it is a collaboration with Olay, a brand that is not cruelty free. According to Crueltyfreekitty Covergirl does remain cruelty free despite this colab, but by buying the simply ageless line we are telling them it is ok to collaborate with brands that test on animals when we should be encouraging them away from those brands. Personally, I'm not sure how to feel, I think I would feel a twinge of guilt for buying it, but I also still respect Covergirl for making the switch to cruelty free and have no problem with any other product they make on their own.
@@ardenrenee3439 I don’t understand this push for cruelty free. Are you vegan?
The cruelty free brands are just using ingredients that were tested on animals by other brands a long time ago.
You’re still getting ingredients tested on animals, you’re just not getting anything new or cutting edge.
It’s a gimmick.
@@lostandfound5145 I'm not going to explain why it's a good thing to care about the well being of animals
@@ardenrenee3439 that’s a straw man and a half. Don’t be intellectually dishonest ffs
LOVE the "art supply" approach to beauty products! Especially when understanding oil products vs water based products or contouring(how shadow and light work) or color theory, I feel like i learned WAY more helpful information for doing makeup in painting classes than thru any brand education around their products or even most "beauty gurus". Also, I've been using the glossier stretch concealer as my foundation for about two months and it's SO NICE and is exactly what i was imagining "balm foundation" to be. A little goes a long way and the pigment really acts like high quality oil paint. *art nerd chef's kiss*
I was not a fan of the KVD Good Apple after initially having a positive first impression. I have skin that leans oily but is prone to dehydration and acne. The Sneaky Balm is a very nice texture! I also wear the lightest shade and it gives me what I wanted out of Glossier Stretch Concealer for all over the face. Stila has their own version of a balm foundation but it’s marketed as a skin tint. It comes in a compact and totally flew under the radar (as Stila often does) but the shade range is limiting.
I actually love the Kevyn Aucoin Foundation Balm. It’s one of my favorite complexion products that I own. But I think it’s because it was formulated for normal to oily skin. Which I have. I can see it not working for dry skin because of the texture. I really want to try the Salt Sneaky Balm but I have a feeling I will need to really set it down with powder to get it to work for my skin type. The Kett looks very intriguing as well.
OOOOH Ameerah thank you for this input!!! This makes a ton of sense. I didn't know it was specifically formulated for skin that's other than dry!
Hi hi! I have combo oily skin and really love the Sneaky Balm! It's oil based so it doesn't break up when my oils start coming out. My favorite way to wear it is over the glossier wowder and it looks and feels great! I'd say definitely give it a try
I am very oily and the Sneaky Balm works wonderfully for me. It definitely has that undetectable quality and if I set it with powder (I use an old Pacifica compact), it really lasts all day. My only complaint is that if I get it too close to my eyes, no amount of powder will keep it from smudging my mascara onto my under eye.
I know it’s early on in your video (for me as I’m watching it) but I love this content! So intriguing and so refreshing to watch another fair skin girl, not self tanned and rocking natural skin tone, and you have dry skin like me! Thank you for this!
I just got sneaky balm last week and so far LOVE it! I usually prefer a bare face with just spot touch ups, but this does a great job of looking like bare skin while covering up imperfections- something I need as I start going on more business trips again and needing something quick I can throw in my bag. For reference, I have combo skin that leans greasy (though less so as I've hit my 30s) and I didn't find this to be overly dewy. It could easily lean more satin with a touch of powder.
this was actually so helpful!! one thing i always find really nice about your reviews is how u consider what would be good for the viewers, not just your personal preference, in so much detail and offer WHY one might like one over the other! i probably still won't be picking up either as i'm still masking so much but im thinking about picking up sneaky balm some time soon....
Ok I’ve just started watching recently, but I’m SO thrilled! Sam originally mentioned you in one of her vids and you’ve quickly become a new fave! Your reviews of products in particular are what I’ve been hoping for for so long! Articulate, well said, smart, FUNNY, and long winded it the absolute BEST POSSIBLE WAY. This is the kind of reviews that I’d hope to give if I had my own channel. I just love beauty so much and quite a few of the other interests you’ve listed as well, so I already feel like I’ve found a “fast friend” in you. Creepy and true. 🧡 BONUS: we have similar complexions and skin tones/concerns and tastes in beauty products and styles from what I can tell. Your trends of 2022 was just a joy to watch. Kind of feeling like this is too good to be true! Thanks for being here and doing what you’re doing!
Agree that Salt New York is so neutral! It is such a perfect match for me because of that, just undetectable. As always, thanks for this excellent and thorough review ❤️
Your skin in this video is UNREAL Hannah. You are absolutely glowing 😍
I'm obsessed with Sneaky Balm. I haven't heard people talk about this huge pro: it works really well for skin. I'm in my early 50's with wrinkles and oily skin and Sneaky Balm does not make me look older like most foundations do. It does also does not emphasize any crepe like parts of my skin. Despite it being balmy it does not make me look shiny. I barely use powder. It evens out redness in my skin. I have always had to use "cool" and light shades for foundation so I did not think it would work for my skin tone but it works so well.
Do,you have to use a primer with Salt? I just placed my order, am 51 and have oily skin and I am wanting to love this new balm
I'm pretty bad about using primers so I'm not sure. I wear sunscreen daily and haven't yet found a primer that goes well with my sunscreen. I tend to break out really easily so less is best for me.
Yay!!! I’m so glad that you got that sponsorship 😊 At this point you’re almost like a friend, and it’s so cool seeing your channel grow!
i’m so excited, i bought the sneaky balm before the video was even over. i’m so happy i found your channel. your videos remind me so much of stephanie nicole’s older videos which i used to watch devotedly.
These are right up my alley! Love the entire concept. Concerning the lint because I’ve had that issue with some products as well, I know it’s an extra step and you’ve probably already thought about it but scraping a bit out with a palette knife is the way to go! I have a tiny porcelain plate that might have been part of an old doll tea set that I use for blending products (like blue into my foundation because I am also very green), or scraping something into that I then go in with my brush. Because my brushes are also not the cleanest all the time 😅 and I don’t wanna transfer bacteria into the products
Thank you for featuring these foundations, and explaining the pros and cons of each - and adding a comment about using the Rephr moisturizer as a primer. I am one of the few who likes the Kevyn Aucoin balm foundation, although it is finicky to apply. I am very curious about the Kett foundation and I hope you will do a full review at some point. Thanks again!
Yes! I've been using the Glossier stretch concealer as foundation for a while and loving it. I always felt like I was missing something when people are so excited about liquid foundations but you explaining the art-supply like control you like from balm foundations totally makes sense. I feel very validated in my opinions.
I switched tense within a sentence and I am ashamed :(
Im not on the market for a new foundation but the way that hannah is describing the experience of wearing a balms, and the idea of a glossier stretch-like base product is speaking to me on levels I never thought possible! I have definitely used glossier stretch and my nars concealer as almost-foundation products, and its so satisfying to watch hannah apply these products. This is especially interesting to me because I have quite oily skin (though I try to mitigate the greasiness with high-linoleic acid oils), and I’ve never even considered balm products… I’ll continue to pan my nars concealer and my little ordinary serum foundation, but I will be following the careers of these balms with Great Interest
These exact videos are perfect to make a fully informed decision. I have a similar skin shade to you, although less olive toned, and I have relatively dry skin so I lean towards dewier products. I bought the Monica Blender foundation and I think it is my favourite foundation ever so far, I'm totally in love. I revisited this video after applying it today and I am glad I didn't order the sneaky balm as I'm not sure it would have suited my needs. Thank you so much for this!
How did I not come across your channel until now?! You're so interesting! Your review is like an intellectual analysis of cosmetics :) I'm so glad that you're bringing attention to products that I've never heard of, and that's made with such integrity!
Thank you, your undertones video was a lightbulb moment for me. I am a very little bit darker and love the purito and it's gray tone has been my favorite in color being almost perfect but it has irritated my eyes so the hunt had continued. After watching your video and going and watching those from Justine and Merriam looking at the olive fair foundations has been a revelation and while I've not found the perfect formula, I've found that the shades fair olives when tested are spot on and have received more compliments then I ever recall receiving.
I absolutely love the Sneaky Balm and have been so curious about the blunder cover! This was so great, thank you!
Excited to try the Sneaky Balm version.
Thank you for the review & discount code. I'm very pale & cool undertoned, so it'll be fun to see how it works.
So helpful and thorough! I've really been enjoying your videos. I only recently found you on UA-cam, but you speak my language! Thank you for your thoughtful content ♥
Such an exciting breakdown! The idea of a balm skin product is extremely attractive to me for my fair, dry, mature skin. I can't wait to see the color expansion for the sneaky balm!
Woot woot! Fair, dry, mature ladies represent!
awesome indepth review - love the detail and the overheads really help !! thank you !!
Loved that kind of unfussy foundation for ages. Mac has had one like that for a while, their full coverage foundation, that I like very much.
I'm a dry gal and I'm here for the balms... been wanting to try the new l'Oreal 4 in 1 balm so bad, because it's affordable, buit I'm in the middle of a No Buy Year so that's gonna have to wait. Super excited to see this video.
I swear girl your skin looks sooooo beautiful 🤩
Your channel is so legit. Thanks for your in depth reviews, fun, and passion.
Thank you so much for filming so up close to your face, we can really see what they look like. ❤️
I’m absolutely coveting the Sneaky Balm! You mentioned the feeling of a pot concealer, on her channel, Tara Brooke has mentioned using the Glossier pot concealer all over like a balm.
I don’t think anyone gives more in depth reviews of base products than you do ❤️
Rewatching this, as I now have the Monika Blunder Blunder Cover.. it ROCKS, 2.5 is my perfect shade match, sheer or more coverage… one of the best I’ve tried. Love your vids.
I REALLY appreciate your in-depth reviews. I just ordered the Salt New York foundation...super excited to try it!
I am SO happy I found you! Holy Smokes! This product is exactly what I was looking for!
I swear I use the Glossier concealer as a "foundation" because of the way it melted. So excited to watch this!
Thank you for your thoughts on over spending, I completely agree. I have spent money I didn't have on products I didn't need and regretted it for a long time. So I'm basically on a no buy now unless it's a necessity, like shampoo/conditioner, face soap, etc. and am happier than ever!
The kvd good apple balm is actually AMAZING for dry skin like dry ass skin lol you need to use a damp sponge with literally the smallest amount, then go smaller lol but also a duo fiber brush works wonders! I can use brushes at all but the real techniques light duo fiber/stippling brush is a god send for that balm foundation.
I’d be really curious to know how it compares to any of the balm foundations mentioned in this video.
I really prefer minimal coverage so I am more tempted by the Sneaky Balm but I cannot get behind the fact that there’s no case option for the pan besides the bigger 4 pan palette.
Is it really ok for dry dry skin? Most other foundations cling to dry patches I never even knew I had. But you've had success with a the KVD balm? It appeals to me because they do proper pale shades
What a wonderful and informative video! I’ve got Sneaky Balm on its way home to me, so this was great!
This makes me SO EXCITED. I love the lightest shade of the Rose Inc. concealer (which I bought on your recommendation!)-undertone wise it is literally perfect for me, but it is too light for me to use all over my face. I usually mix it with other concealers that are a little too dark and a little too peach or pink on me, and it works perfectly to neutralize and brighten them. It seems like your undertones are the same as mine, but your skin is about a shade fairer than mine; I have been looking for the perfect shade of a base product that will match me like the lightest Rose Inc. concealer matches you. The N12 Sneaky Balm will probably fit the bill! 🤩
This warm look is very beautiful and harmonious on you!
You’re honestly my fav beauty UA-camr nowadays
You’re amazing girl
Never change 💯💕
Congratulations on sponsorship! You deserve it!
Great video as always 👏 I´ve got Blunder Cover and love it but you got me curious about the Sneaky Balm!
Skillshare is a great sponsor pairing because YOU are so multitalented as well! 🎉🎉
fantastic comparison! I'm so with you on the issue of neutrality of foundation colors!
I am so happy to have found you! You are amazing and thank you for sharing all your thoughts!
I love the dewy balm look! It’s stunning on you
So excited to see this is a thing. I like more serum type base products but I also like cream foundation so hoping it’s a hybrid product. Thanks!
I think the sneaky balm is about to solve all my problems!! So excited to try it
Your skin looks beautiful!
Love your videos! So informative! 🤗
I love this foundation and bought it bc it looks so beautiful on you, I am loving it
Another fantastic informative video!💕
THE VIDEO IVE BEEN WAITING FOR ❤️❤️❤️❤️ starting now (:
Hello and thank you, this felt like essay on balms. Very interesting and pleasure to watch. Have a nice day
I remember buying the cover fx balm foundation after seeing how good it looked online when makeup artists applied it, but lacking the skills to make it work for my skin 😅 I wonder if my updated talents and tools could make them work for me nowadays!
Really great comparison techniques. Super job.
Yay, I've been looking forward to this review! Thank you! In regard to the Salt New York white shade adjuster, how pigmented or versatile would you say it is? Do you think it would work with the Purito, for example?
Thank you for the thorough review! Given Sneaky Balm’s “sneakiness”, I wonder how it compares with the Glossier Stretch concealer
Definitely putting the sneaky balm on my wishlist after this!
Congrats on the sponsorship! That was a very smooth, channel-related plug over there!
This was so helpful! As much as I want these products to be for me because the look is what I want…I just think the tackiness/emollience will drive me crazy 😅.
Girl I love your bangs! Omg I’m so wishing I had them! And the color of your hair is so pretty 🤩
Very excited to try Sneaky Balm! The name alone makes me adore it and it sounds like everything I’ve ever wanted. Currently, I’ve been using and loving RMS “Un”cover-up as a concealer/ “as needed” foundation to cover up some of my more red areas. Very curious to see how the Sneaky Balm compares! Thank you so so much for your always excellent and thorough reviews! 🥰❤️
Phenomenal review! 🥰
I love my holy grail RCMA Color process foundation. Color match, undertone (dark olive) and finish are BEAUTIFUL.
I found this review really helpful!
Also, the Missha BB cream is really similar to the purito BB cream but has lighter shades (that are still gray/olive/neutral toned). It has a strong floral scent in my opinion but never broke out my incredibly sensitive skin.
I waitlisted and waited :) the Salt NY and ordered it finally tonight, I’m verrrrrrry excited
I've been considering the Salt New York Balm!!
You look absolutely flawless.
Thank you for being comitted, Hannah
Agree! So refreshing!! Tired of seeing filtered skins
Love your insights and shares about these products. I feel a kindred spirit.
I love your deep dives 😊
Salt new York has my attention for sure
These formulas are along the line of my RCMA foundation that I love. It just works however I need it. I love the 5 tone palettes that are so easy to travel with and can adapt with the changing of the seasons to make my exact shade at any time. I use the KA color version, which would very likely be the tone that would suit you as well.
I love rcma. I just bought the ka palette and a couple full size foundations. I got color matched and ended up being ko1. But I can also wear Shinto 0. It blends so easily and lasts all day even on my oily skin
I love RCMA as well! I have the Olive palette and an individual Gena Beige foundation. I like some other high pigment foundations (Ben Nye, William Tuttle, etc.).
Omg you know what else is catching my attention!!! The cli de peau concealer stick buts its like $70! I can’t justify but maybe one day I can try it out
this video reminded me of the covergirl cream foundation I used to LOVE years ago. like went through two of them loved. makes me wonder if one of these could be a good upgrade for me
The cat hair in the makeup =
Same.
Not even mad about it! 😻
The way you described product and how they work, can be manipulated, how they set etc and how you said you like them be behave how intuitively expect them to behave was completely spot on to how I feel about makeup, base products in particular. You articulated it perfectly. Consider me a new subscriber, I'm a professional MUA btw and I haven't heard anyone explain products and their formula, application etc as articulate as you so bravo for that! 👌🙏🏻❤️ Ps devastated Salt aren't shipping to UK, especially after I saw the price! 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩
I like balms for the same reason you like them, even though I have oily skin in summer. There's a drugstore one I like: L'oreal 4 in 1 Tinted Balm. However, the palest color in that one is not super pale, which is to say that it is too dark for me unless I use it with a really pale concealer and a brightening powder. I haven't tried Sneaky Balm yet because I am waiting on the paler one. BTW, the Purito balm comes in 2 lighter shades now- a 13 and a 15. I love the Purito, too.
Thank you so much for this thorough video! I've had so many people recommend the Salt New York balm to me. I think you and I have similar skin tones and concerns, so this was very helpful.
