The concept of “my precious” is what finally gave myself permission to cull a LOT of my collection. Recently a young lady came into my life, as she was adopted by her older brother who I’m friends with after the untimely loss of both their parents. She is 15 or 16. I asked what her passions are and found out she loves makeup and beauty, but was trying to talk herself into pursuing a career in healthcare for traditional reasons. I suddenly starting seeing every object in my makeup collection through the lens of, “is this my favorite thing, or would a 15 year old new beauty lover lose her mind over receiving it?” It has been my pleasure to gift her a ton of barely used high end items to hopefully encourage her passion. For a girl who has lost so much, I want to encourage joy and abundance in her chosen passion. Any amount she uses and plays with these products will be more valuable than whatever playtime I would’ve- maybe, someday- had with them. I am ruthlessly culling my collection now and trying to eradicate overpurchase guilt from my life entirely. I’m clinging to these videos for support in doing so. Watching them over and over. You’re a godsend, Hannah!
For some reason i really hate watching big youtubers declutter their massive collection, but watching you finesse your moderate collection is really refreshing and enjoyable
I know right! When I want to get an overview of blushes because I want a shimmery baby pink blush the two hour blush declutters can be useful, I can't watch them for enjoyment though. I always feel like "Oh okay, another silky peach blush that's just like the last 4 you showed and is the same as 23 other blushes in this video. Great, all the colors of a drugstore blush that was discontinued 7 years ago and all of them are still unused." They never use the items and then they throw them away! And yeah, PR and stuff, but quite a few of those people bought that stuff themselves and it's maddening. Who needs thirty of the same blushes from over five years ago?!
It’s true except makeup is a consumable.. it does run out eventually. If I can use something before it expires and then throw it away, I’d rather do that than Declutter it. If I had 5 jars of pasta sauce in my pantry I wouldn’t get rid of them I’d eat them one by one instead of buying new sauce. Esp since nobody would want my secondhand makeup/skincare, it’s all drugstore brands..
You are the only beauty UA-camr whose decluttering videos don't make me want to go buy a bunch of stuff. I appreciate that you talk us through your thought process and intentions. I also really appreciate the Marie Kondo-esque way you think about makeup -- only keeping the items that are both useful and bring you pleasure while still showing reverence for the makeup you are doing away with. I have been on a major makeup-buying spree for the last year and have purchased (and then subsequently gotten rid of) a lot of unnecessary and costly makeup. I love that you express your love for makeup without encouraging everyone to go buy the thing. I just can't express enough how much I love your channel and the perspective you give.
Your declutters are the absolute best! It’s so refreshing to see a beautytuber keep a tight edit as opposed to the oh so common “Here are my 76 different foundations, and I’m going to get rid of these two because they’re old” kind of content.
I love how this declutter series is just low key saving the juiciest part for last: eyeshadow. I can’t be the only one chomping at the bit to see that one. Love this one. I’ve been low key decluttering with you. Have gotten rid of 100 products so far between complexion, lipstick, cream blushes, and a few miscellaneous bits that were too old. Struggling with starting on eyeshadow though.
I recently found your channel when you did the dupe Lisa Eldridge eyeshadow video. I’ve been hooked since. Here’s some reasons why: - your voice is soothing, sincere, trustworthy. - your video style is unique. - you mention more than just the mainstream brands. Hi Hannah! Would you maybe create a separate video in the future that talks about what happens after content creators "declutter"? Do you throw away all the products that are beautiful yet basically unused, or gift them, or recycle the packaging, etc.? Love this series :)
Taj: Ideally they are re-homed them with a women's victim shelter, LGBTQ organization, or Project Beauty which gets gently used or new products to those in need.
The trick I found to using my balm foundations is keeping fresh sponges next to them - I’ve already hit pan on a bunch of Salt NY and love that I’m using them before they expire. Great content!
I think so far your declutter videos are the most helpful out of ones I’ve watched before.. it’s annoying to hear “I don’t use it anymore”, “it’s old” and see things being thrown away. I like the juice, the info!
Respond to the creators. Encourage them to re-homed them with a women's victim shelter, LGBTQ organization, or Project Beauty which gets gently used or new products to those in need.
Question de: powders-I’m interested in why you consider the givenchy a finishing powder and the kosas/make as setting powders. As a MUA, we use loose powders like the givenchy as setting powders, because they will lock in the cream or liquid products underneath and extend the longevity of your makeup. It being mattifying is a product of those features rather than it’s defining trait (for some of us). And then we would use something like the kosas at the end just to adjust the finish in a couple places (to adjust from oily or shiny to “mochi” as you call it). I’m going to try to your order on me tomorrow, but I was wondering if that change in philosophy might help you since you said the Kosas doesn’t keep your oil at bay?
What I appreciate and value is that you are very in touch with your skin tone, skin preferences and you are taking a stand against the constant attaining of more and the search for the perfect thing. For you if something works and is the best others are redundant. I have finished a foundation, and am trying to actively finish two more - its going to be next year that those go. But the lesson is that the one I finished I immediately went out and purchased because I love it. And the two I want to finish are older and I don't want to have so many in the future. Auric glow lust is so beautiful as a mixer with foundation I have really fallen in love with it this year. And I am on a ban going forward till I feel like I have the room and headspace to want a new one I don't think its going to be anytime soon. Your stash is so edited now!
The toilet paper and the powder. 😂dead. That is exactly how I feel about foundation! If I have the one “skinny-est” best match for me, I can’t imagine needing another kicking around. But I’ve loved powder ever since my first box of Coty in the 80s. I also may have used a little too much Ben Nye loose translucent powder in the very early 90s. Speaking of Ben Nye, I would LOVE to see a stage makeup review. I think of them as the original stick concealer and stick crème blush, as well as highly pigmented powder and baked shadows. Thank you for your smooth sensibilities❤
Your approach to decluttering based on only needing one product per function, rather than holding on to individual products because they are nice or work well is such a helpful way to look at it! Loving this series 🥰
Wow, ruthless. I think it’s ok to have two concealers if they serve a different purpose. Btw I bought the exa green concealer based on your recommendation and it’s amazing. Like you, sometimes I just use that over sunscreen and I’m good. It’s changed my makeup life. Thank you!
Oh heck, one of my longass posts, HLP. Enter at your own risk. 😆For starters, so many things I can't use, due to ingredients, so I'll watch you enjoy them. I appreciate all the pairing down you've done in recent vids, HLP. RMS was one of my more recent explorations (during the last 6 yrs) of clean ingredient base products, and discovered I couldn't use them due to castor oil. As anyone knows who reads my blathering, this has happened with so many "clean beauty" base products. I went that direction, in part, to try to get away from unnecessary ingredients, and it turns out that such brands are as impacted by trends as conventional lines. This, of course, led to me reading up on castor oil derivatives, to which I'm still adding to my list. As you spoke, I was going through the items you were vacillating over, to see if any I've not yet tried were approachable. When I first got purito cica bb cream, it was recommended to me because the ingredient list had no cones, but now it does, so I got rid of it. It was too dark for me as well, but the undertone was magnificent, and might have stayed in my inventory for summer use, if they hadn't updated the ingredient list. It makes me wonder if the cones were there all along, due to its texture. **sighs** To that, I've given up on Rose Inc due to seeing texture changes an hour or so after application. Not surprisingly, castor oil derivatives are in the concealer. They are Tribehenin, and polyglyceryl-3 polyricinoleate (Ricinus communis is the castor plant.)😥 The newest product for me, the Chanel highlighting liquid, I fear, caused a breakout all over my nose - that's definitely a contact reaction for me, not regular acne or hormonal stuff - but I'll try it one more time, and if it happens again, out the door it goes. Haven't figured out the potential culprit. Alas, can't use Auric due to bismuth. The first time I tested Bare Mineral foundation, over 20 yrs ago, it felt like tiny shards of glass were trying to wriggle their way into my pores. Apparently, it's a known irritant, so I'm always amazed to see it on ingredient lists, from eyeshadow, cheek, base, lip, etc. products. Out of some of the things you got rid of, I still have the WnW Glass Correct, and LA Girl Pro Conceal green corrector, because my skin hasn't balked at them yet. None of the other corrector products are approachable due to above issues with ingredients. During the pandemic, I tried EXA foundation, but the undertone was so strong, and wrong, then discovered polygyceryl-6 polyricinoleate that I just turned my back on them, until you got the primer and corrector. Surprise, surprise the corrector, which appears to be a perfect color, has multiple derivatives of castor oil. Neither of the EXA primers appear to, so I might check into them at some point, but no hurry. I've got my hands full, between the WnW, but also combining a milky serum with dry oil. I've started to venture back into more conventional brands, to find products that do what I want, and have skin -neutral ingredients for this mug. Still astounded at the high cone usage in conventional and cleaner lines. The thing that still kinda bums me out is if Sappho hadn't changed the emulsifier in their original formula of foundation, I wouldn't have spent so much money on trying to find something that looks good & doesn't cause reactions. I've had a purge box building up since this late spring, and many things thrown away. Fingers still crossed for Kett or SNY working for long term use. Blunder Balm is an absolute no-go. Thanks HLP!
*GREAT* declutter! I enjoyed your method and reasoning as to what stays or goes. I was actually shouting at the screen: "NO! Get rid of it! NO!" when you tried to put the Make Beauty Concealer back! I was *really* getting riled up! 🤣😂
when you were saying ‘it’s the only Chanel product I owned’ I was screaming ‘you also had a Chanel green color corrector’ 😂 I watch too much UA-cam lol
Totally get that this video is about reducing the number of products…but I think you might find that very fair tone and desaturated greyish green undertone in complexion products in the Korean market ✨
I loved this declutter. Great job on the decision making process and the videography! It was almost like ASMR. I expect to watch it again when I want to relax.
I must have watched each of these videos in this series three times by now. You are reaching into my soul! Many years ago I was a compulsive makeup collector as well but have seriously downsized from then, but I still catch myself holding onto things I don’t use anymore for sentimental reasons. Experiencing so much enjoyment from hearing your thought process is making me excited to ruthlessly simplify my own collection down to a small curated group of items that are truly precious to me, and that I will get joy out of being able to use regularly! You’re simply inspirational ❤
I just have to say your content is phenomenal. I found your channel a few months ago and the way that you approach beauty has helped me so much with controlling my spending and most importantly with truly finding makeup enjoyable again! Thank you so much ❤
I mean i feel like with some of the things like the beautiful Chanel bottle you could always clean it out and repurpose it, even if it was just to have its beauty on a vanity or something
Thank you for making this declutter series, it is so interesting to hear your thoughts when going through the declutter process. My precious is Dior’s forever skin correct.
I can’t believe what a complexion product hoarder I’ve become. And I felt like it was normal from watching so much beauty UA-cam. It wasn’t until watching you whittle your complexion collection down to what I consider the bare bones that I came to realize that it’s not normal to have 50 foundations. I might be exaggerating a bit (but I’m not sure if I am because I haven’t counted them all). I know that if I factor in primer, concealer and powder I’ve gotta be approaching 100 items. I don’t know how you were able to do it! I’m going to try to pick my absolute favorites from each category, but I think I’m gonna need a lot more specific categories. Like favorite summer skin tint, favorite winter skin tint. Favorite winter medium coverage, etc. But then there’s primers! I have so many different types of primers because my skin is so schizophrenic. But I’m definitely going to try to make an effort. And maybe I can finally organize my drawers to the point where I always know where my stuff is!
Looking forward to you starting the year fresh! I've been mixing a few foundation/illuminating/colour correcting products in a small skincare sample pot and using it for a couple of weeks and love it. I out away all individual products to avoid clutter on my vanity and I'm so happy with my arrangement! :)
So so glad to have found your channel (thanks to Kackie). I too struggle with redness and your green primer/color corrector recommendations have been game changers. Huge thank you for that!
Just a thought: there’s an old photo editing edict that proposes that you ‘edit in’ when going through your photos, rather than ‘edit out’. This just means you go through your shots pulling in only the truly awesome pics, rather than assuming you’re keeping all of them, and only pulling out the bad ones. Especially in the age of digital cameras and cloud storage, it feels like the only way to have a photo set that matches the cognitive capacity of the human mind. I wonder whether that framing might match the spirit of the declutters you’re currently pursuing. Thanks for all the hard work - it’s a joy to watch! 💕
I second this. It would be really satisfying after she collects several new products for review, to see her choose which ones to add into her collection, ultimately leading to a more and more curated collection. This would also be a good way, in my opinion, for her to bridge the gap between her job as a reviewer and her personal drive for simplicity.
If you love a slightly more olive green corrector, I’ve tried and found that Art Deco have an amazing green olive corrector that is amazing for really pale more yellow undertone but has redness skin, it’s a must for me!
Love this series. The emphasis on creating a simpler approach, less decisions for putting on makeup really resonates with me. This last year I focused on figuring out my favourites. It’s minimalist but in the sense that I am a makeup lover and I like a few options but not extreme minimalist where it’s 1 product per category. It’s more Marie Kondo sparks joy focused. The “My Precious” aspect.
Wish Exa made a violet color corrector. I have the same issue with completion products but with a grey/violet cast instead of green. Korean BB creams that are grey are the best match for my skin tone.
I just love how you encourage people to look at what they have and really think about it. Considering how different we all are with our spending, there is no right way, just need to find the toughtful way for yourself. I own a lot lot of eyeshadows, palettes and singles. But complexion wise I only have the Auric Glow Lust, 1 green concealer, 1 skin tone concealer, 1 pressed powder and that's it. Why? Because complexion products are just utilitarian for me, found what works for me BUT eyeshadow is what makes me happy and have fun with my makeup so I'm fine with having a lot of it.
Yay I was literally thinking the other day when watching your recent lip products declutter that I really would love to see a foundation declutter from you. I'm so excited to see this vid pop-up in my alerts!!
I've never met anyone with the same skin tone as me before finding your channel! I am exactly the same undertone as you but perhaps even a bit lighter - I have to use a white mixer with the RMS 000. I have a Mediterranean blood disorder that affects my skin tone and I'm very Italian so I am super olive yet ghost white. Makeup shopping is hard, but I found the RMS foundation through you and I just ordered the Rose Inc concealer and the exa green color corrector. I recently read some pale olive people saying that lavender/lilac colored blushes look good on us, have you tried any? Thank you!!!!
The rose inc concealer (in the lightest shade) is my hg too. The only other one I like a lot is the nyx serum concealer. I'm so happy you addressed Salt's absence in these vids! I keep wondering about that! Also, I'd like to point out (for no reason whatsoever) that I've wanted to try the Monika Blunder blunder cover but it's much harder to get ahold of. Whenever I check, the lightest shade is out of stock. I really don't need it, I have my salt ny sneaky balm, but I'm intrigued! Same goes for that other mua brand whose name is escaping me rn. They sell the palettes but also singles in pans & have an olive range as well as Ruby & neutral. It can be difficult to find complexion that is super fair neutral & that baffles me. 🙃
@@xxoldmagicxx I can see that. I am only decluttering laundry by actually putting it away. 😂 The clutter is me being behind on life. Maybe some additional decluttering will happen because I have a little who has outgrown a lot of her things.
Hey Hannah, love your videos! I was just wondering if you could include swatches of all the products as you are decluttering. In my humble opinion, swatches increases the satisfaction level and I am intensely curious about what they look like. Thank you for considering!
So I use and love the Purito BB cream in #21 but it’s slightly too dark for my winter skin. I can mix it with the LA Girl white adjuster but I am curious if you have found any other foundations with a similar texture. I have tested so many foundations and just accepted that I love this specific type of texture and finish.
Love these … I know it’s reiterating what you said, but it really educates me. I can see similarities and differences in what we want for makeup. It helps me narrow down decisions. So, thank you again .. I’m an Art major, magazine designer turned math major and h.s. Math teacher, so ALL KINDS of work and makeup and fashion wear expectations. Super helpful, as always!
I use one type of an item at a time. I use the same primer, foundation, etc until I use it up. I don't think about the other ones that I have in my stash waiting to be used.
I only have 3 powders, one I use every day under my eyes (huda beauty loose), one for special occasions (nikkia joy loose powder) and one for when I go out on my face (nikkia joy pressed powder). Some things you only need a few of and concealer I only ever have one and blast through it and repurchase
It would be super interesting to see an update sometime down the line with you going back over what you kept and seeing if you ended up using it. You could even do a couple, like 6 months and then 1 year.
My relationship with powder is completely different, LOL; I have dry mature skin but my love of having the exact right powder for the job has only increased as my skin ages. Watching your year-end declutter is really helping me prepare for the one I need to do.
Aging Ophelia; I really hope you re-homed them with a women's victim shelter, LGBTQ organization, or Project Beauty which gets gently used or new products to those in need.
@@violetviolet888 No, the items I decluttered were too old/used to give away even to family. When I'm getting rid of something that just didn't work for me, it's a different story. But nobody else wants my stub of 6 yr. old eyeliner.
Is it weird that I’m very much anticipating your video for a month after these declutters that reports in on whether your declutter has invited the kind of use you expected going forward or the maybe final declutter for items that you let slip by.
Hi from your skin twin from Germany! :) Ordered the lightest shade in the rose inc concealer as well and I’m loving it! Now I’m wondering which shade you are wearing in the rms foundation? I clicked on the link that you provided but I‘m not sure it‘s on „our“ shade per default. Thanks so much ❤
Have you tried the Westman Atelier skin drops, Hannah? I am wondering if they‘d work for you (and thus myself), and also how much coverage they offer. I am surprised you like the Blunder Cover so well. Seems like no matter how much I try, I cannot get to work. It is like a goo that stays on top of my skin, and I always end up removing it.
Wonderful. The Purito BB cream is my holy Grail but it’s half of a shade too dark. Do you think if I mix the Haus Labs white with it then, it would lighten it half by half a shade and keep the same consistency?
I was cracking up about your analogy to Powder and toilet paper. I think that because you don’t have oily skin, powder is really not a necessity. for me, I have an entire drawer dedicated to different powders I mean obviously some of them I just wanted to try, and I probably could narrow it down to two or three favorites if I had to, but I do use different powders for different things like I have certain powders that I set my under eyes with I have certain powers that I set my face with, and then I also use a different powder to touch up my skin Throughout the day but that’s just because I get really oily in my T-zone. I wish that I didn’t have to use powder.
Hi, what color do you wear in the blunder cover? Do they all lean olive? I’m not as fair as you, but that will give me a starting point. Thank you! It is so hard to find products that work for light olive skin. I wish companies would realize that tan and olive are not interchangeable!!
your videos are so inspiring & always ask me to think more critically on my own habits and my relationship to pretty things. but i really hold the "keep until i finish" close to heart, despite how irrational that may be with some cream products given that i have more than 1 and they take ages to use up. so in some cases, you declutter items you're almost done with. how do you rationalize waste vs simplifying in this case?
also for products like foundation/concealer, which i use every other day or so, i have trouble decluttering bc once i'm done with one, which feels inevitable given its use, i need another. do you think about this when you declutter? or do you think you'd prefer waiting to finish a product then go out and buy another despite decluttering an item you could've replaced the previous one with? the same could be said with products that have longer life lines (powders: setting, blush, bronzer, etc)
I’ve been thinking about the declutter vs. use-up mindset for a while now. Hannah has a steady stream of projects coming in for PR and also because she runs a business that includes consistent review of products for revenue. I, on the other hand, only buy one foundation and concealer at a time. I think I have to declutter some of my products though, because they’re just old and I don’t trust them anymore😅
I only threw out one foundation. But I ditched a lot of mascara, powder, blush, eyeliners, bronzers and lipstick. It took me two days and and a full bag. It was hard but I feel better for it
lol the way the haus labs foundation shows up on the table makes it look like you edited the video to blur it out. at first I thought it was a not released foundation you were testing.
I know you are decluttering but I thought of you. I saw this the other day- face atelier has an olive foundation mix in. It looks interesting, at the very least.
i have to disagree on powder. ever since i started using different powders with different finishes (undereye, chin/forehead/nose, sides of my face) i noticed how much better my base looks, so i recommend trying it if you already have multiple different powders :D
I feel like my new way of decluttering has really helped me reduce my items in makeup/clothing/etc. I have so many things that I like but I end up reaching for other things over that. I think to myself "what would I pick for (i.e. primer/flannel shirt) right now" and then pick that item and set it aside and then do that for as many times as items I would like to have and I realize that I have more items that I may like a lot but I prefer others. And why should I not use the items that I love the most and pass along the ones that someone else may get more use out of?
Lol this is giving me anxiety! I've discovered I just love having different foundations and concealers to choose from... Depending on my mood and the tribe of year
Well, to be honest, as a Crohn's patient I do have multiple kinds of TP going at once. Which yes, is fairly absurd. On the other hand, I have one powder and I do not love it but I refuse to buy anything else of that kind before I use it up.

Eyeshadows are the elephants in every makeup collection. We are attracted to all the pretty colours
I recently found your channel when you did the dupe Lisa Eldridge eyeshadow video. I’ve been hooked since.
Here’s some reasons why:
- your voice is soothing, sincere, trustworthy.
- your video style is unique.
- you mention more than just the mainstream brands. Some I’ve never heard of before.
- the video you did on the difference between a content creator’s makeup collection and a viewer’s collection was real and raw and just what I needed to hear.

Thank you!
thank you so much, rooney! glad you are here!
Your declutter content is by far the best I have seen and I’m absolutely living for it right now

Your declutters are getting me through a really rough time with my mental health. Thank you! ❤❤
Same - and I only own one foundation. ha ha :)
This declutter series is so grounded and still so satisfying. Love this.
As an incredibly oily person I just have to say that powder is essential in my routine and there are tons of differences in powders haha.
Wow your comparison between having many powders to having many toilet paper holders HIT! Now I wanna go through mine!
The trick I found to using my balm foundations is keeping fresh sponges next to them - I’ve already hit pan on a bunch of Salt NY and love that I’m using them before they expire. Great content!

**sighs**
To that, I've given up on Rose Inc due to seeing texture changes an hour or so after application. Not surprisingly, castor oil derivatives are in the concealer. They are Tribehenin, and polyglyceryl-3 polyricinoleate (Ricinus communis is the castor plant.)😥
The newest product for me, the Chanel highlighting liquid, I fear, caused a breakout all over my nose - that's definitely a contact reaction for me, not regular acne or hormonal stuff - but I'll try it one more time, and if it happens again, out the door it goes.
I love cleaning my makeup after decluttering. Wipe them down with wet cloth, clean the brushes etc. Keeps them looking fresh and new ❤️
when you were saying ‘it’s the only Chanel product I owned’ I was screaming ‘you also had a Chanel green color corrector’ 😂 I watch too much UA-cam lol
Hannah what happened to the ysl nu balm?🤔
Also this is a formal request for a perfume and skin care declutter in addition to the makeup🙏🏻❤️😺
It might be in her "testing products" items since she mostly uses it while testing new products.
I was wondering the same thing ánd hoping for a skincare declutter also!
having this video to look forward to after a looooonngg doctor's appointment today is so nice. absolutely loving this series.
Totally get that this video is about reducing the number of products…but I think you might find that very fair tone and desaturated greyish green undertone in complexion products in the Korean market ✨
There's something so distinct about the way you unscrew a base from its lid rather than the lid from the base
Your declutters are so relaxing!
I’m loving this declutter series
I just have to say your content is phenomenal. I found your channel a few months ago and the way that you approach beauty has helped me so much with controlling my spending and most importantly with truly finding makeup enjoyable again! Thank you so much ❤
I’m enjoying this series so much, Hannah. Such good advice and knowledge displayed!
This would also be a good way, in my opinion, for her to bridge the gap between her job as a reviewer and her personal drive for simplicity.
love love your declutters btw- THEY ARE EVERYTHING!
I need to take the "one is enough" mentality into my makeup more. I'm really trying, your videos definitely help! 💜💚
If you love a slightly more olive green corrector, I’ve tried and found that Art Deco have an amazing green olive corrector that is amazing for really pale more yellow undertone but has redness skin, it’s a must for me!
this last sweep when you parted with kosas & make concealers… thank you, catharsis box checked 😂
You are treating us lately with these declutter videos!
Why? Because complexion products are just utilitarian for me, found what works for me BUT eyeshadow is what makes me happy and have fun with my makeup so I'm fine with having a lot of it.
i'm here wondering where your beloved salt new york products are during these declutters 🤔
Ok… every time I watch your content I love it so much thank you for being so thoughtful and finessed thoughts!
Living for this series right now
Yay I was literally thinking the other day when watching your recent lip products declutter that I really would love to see a foundation declutter from you. I'm so excited to see this vid pop-up in my alerts!!
The concealer word salad 😂 I’m glad you finally decluttered it, it was definitely too dark
Thank you!!!!
the kaleidos eye primer sounds like it would be a GREAT glitter glue/base for very shimmery piece-y texture shadows
This was such a good video and I love hearing you work through how you feel
I always appreciate your thoughtful approach to beauty and life 😊
Take away and word for the new year…..Simplify!
Here for it as I declutter my laundry. 😂 Not nearly as satisfying.
My problem with decluttering clothing is that I cut and sew it to fit my style or size in that moment 😂😂💀💀
@@xxoldmagicxx I can see that. I am only decluttering laundry by actually putting it away. 😂 The clutter is me being behind on life. Maybe some additional decluttering will happen because I have a little who has outgrown a lot of her things.
I am truly shooketh to see the Chanel product go!
The toilet paper analogy is E V E R Y T H I N G! I need it on a loop in my head. I can apply that logic to soooo many things in my life. 😃
She said in the video that the haus labs is similar, and they have a white color 🤔
Katie Chipman: old eyeshadow pallets and cosmetics are pigment: they can be used to create art.
What camera/ lenses do you use? Everything looks soo beautiful
I use one type of an item at a time. I use the same primer, foundation, etc until I use it up. I don't think about the other ones that I have in my stash waiting to be used.
I do this too! That way, the others are sealed and aren’t at desk to expire. Within reason, of course.
What about the YSL primer? Is that still around?
Curious about that derma-e color corrector! Never seen that before 😮
I only have 3 powders, one I use every day under my eyes (huda beauty loose), one for special occasions (nikkia joy loose powder) and one for when I go out on my face (nikkia joy pressed powder).
I love that you compared powder to toilet paper…. I only have two, but one will be going in my purse. I don’t need both in my vanity.
I remember OG Hannah with her one for-photoshoots-only foundation. 😂❤
Would love to see your experiments with the RMS foundation!
The green colour correcting destash was a shock O:
Did I miss you decluttering all your salt NY? I feel like they weren't in your blush declarer either?
Edit: spoke too soon lol
can you do a video about how to find your foundation shade? ❤
Hi, what color do you wear in the blunder cover? Do they all lean olive? I’m not as fair as you, but that will give me a starting point. Thank you! It is so hard to find products that work for light olive skin. I wish companies would realize that tan and olive are not interchangeable!!
Hi Hannah, which shade do you use for the RMS Foundation? Thank you
I'm so glad you've kept the Salt New York! I was gettin worried:)
Excellent work, dear!
I’m also pale olive but have never used a color corrector. Will have to look up how to use a green one like the exa
your videos are so inspiring & always ask me to think more critically on my own habits and my relationship to pretty things. but i really hold the "keep until i finish" close to heart, despite how irrational that may be with some cream products given that i have more than 1 and they take ages to use up. so in some cases, you declutter items you're almost done with. how do you rationalize waste vs simplifying in this case?
also for products like foundation/concealer, which i use every other day or so, i have trouble decluttering bc once i'm done with one, which feels inevitable given its use, i need another. do you think about this when you declutter? or do you think you'd prefer waiting to finish a product then go out and buy another despite decluttering an item you could've replaced the previous one with? the same could be said with products that have longer life lines (powders: setting, blush, bronzer, etc)
It was hard but I feel better for it
I am curious about this Aulic skin primer, is this better than Hollywood Flawless Filter
lol the way the haus labs foundation shows up on the table makes it look like you edited the video to blur it out. at first I thought it was a not released foundation you were testing.
Love these! What's been the hardest thing to let go of so far?
Depending on my mood and the tribe of year
I have had many fantasies of having a variety of toilet papers to choose from. lol that's actually something I've spent a lot of time imagining.
For someone with oily skin I love and appreciate powders! Definitely not comparable to toilet paper to me lol but needed!!
Well, to be honest, as a Crohn's patient I do have multiple kinds of TP going at once. Which yes, is fairly absurd. On the other hand, I have one powder and I do not love it but I refuse to buy anything else of that kind before I use it up.
